Expecting 14th child but will have more babies till twins or triplets??? I must be insane

I dont know if anyone started thread already. I just spotted this on DM
39 year old with 13children expecting 14th and there will be more coming.
I love big family, but after having two, we decided two is just enough but this seems abnormal, having twins or triplets is kind of her destiny

Disguss! What do you think? Would you have as many as her? I

What pisses me off about this is the way that people insist on treating twins/multiples as some kind of novelty act or freak show. I have twins. Yes, it's wonderful, but the number of people who told me when I was pregnant "ooo, I always wanted twins" was laughable. WHY? Why does she want twins so much? Twins are great, but essentially they are two separate children, and it's utterly unfair to treat them as anything but. I bet she'd be the type to dress twins identically and call them matching names.
OK, rant over.

I also think she's bonkers. Two is plenty for me, thank you.

I would perhaps suggest that having twins or triplets is infact NOT her destiny as destiny is trying very hard to point out to her.

So she starts us with normal names - Stephen, Patrick, then it all goes a bit wrong.

I think she must have a screw loose. I'm not going to stop until I have twins - she sounds like a spoilt child.

What annoys me is they get £800 a week in tax credits.

I think naming your kids after a character in a horror movie is so wrong!

No-one should have such a large family if they can't afford to pay for them themselves.
And spending £5,000 at Toys R Us on Christmas presents is ridiculous - that's £416 on each child still living at home. We don't spend anywhere near that amount and we're not living on benefits.

She's not well is she. Not a bad person, just major issues.

Nothing wrong wit big families, my dh is youngest of 9, sadly 3of his siblings died but big families were normal long ago, there were two brothers living next door to each other in my parents village (rural irl yrs ago) one had 21 children & the other had 19!! But this woman wit her 'destiny' is, as many hav said, 'clearly bonkers'!!

14 children is too many imo.
Particularly when you are financially unable to support them.

And Poohbear, big families were normal because of a lack of contraceptive advice and fewer available choices for women.
Lots of situations were more widespread, such as the acceptance of domestic violence and fewer educational choices for girls.
A current situation cannot be justified through the example of the past.

Yes i agree they did not hav the options, education and freedom available to them as we do, we are very lucky... But there are still many ppl in western/developed/modern societies who have large families not through lack of education or contraception choices but by choice... If they are able to take care of them all well, then thats their decision. Although this women is living entirely off benefits Isnt she??

Imvho whilst some parents of 14+ children may well 'take care' of their children, it is impossible for them to offer each child the same level of attention and opportunity they could have, should they have decided to stick to 3.

But personally I think there should be a limit on the amount of benefits, incl child benefits, are paid per family.

This family will be claiming hundreds of £s a month in child benefit alone. Is it right that the taxpayer should subsidise this? I think not.

Could she not spend some of her £4k Christmas budget on rent in a slightly larger house?

The husband works. They are as entitled to their tax credits as I am to mine, with one DC.
Her children will be paying our pensions.
And although yes, she is clearly bonkers, and the names , I can't see that she's actually hurting anyone.
