Danyl Johnson on X Factor.

I just don't get why people have such a downer on Danyl Johnson, making him out to be hugely cocky and overconfident. He is one of the best singers on the show.
Reading the paper this morning, there seems to be a feeling of satisfaction that he got what he deserved.
He has consistently performed well, and I just don't get why the media want to give him such a hard time. He is a nice lad who lives in my village near Reading, and is getting all this stuff written about how awful he is. My DH and DD1 met him at the rugby a few weeks ago and he was absolutely lovely, not diva-like at all. DD1 went all girly and star-struck, and lost the power of speech. He was SO kind, he told her not to be shy, and they had a nice little chat. My DH chatted to him too, and says he was a really nice guy.
I just think its really unfair the way he is being portrayed.
And Cheryl and that whole deadlock business, I've gone right off her now. Used to think she was nice.
Sorry for the rant, don't know what came over me

pear shaped I've always assumed it's where the little junction is down to the church, but it's just a guess

no other takers on voting then? Just me then...

You need to go to Nirvana spa to chill out. Then go for a ride at Cloud Stables. Then go to the farm shop and buy some sausages. That'll make you feel better.

I thought it was the other spa we were recommending, the smaller one?

braveandcrazy that would be the logical point, but apparently it's a bit further on, as there are cottages at the bottom of that hill that are still Sindlesham Road. It's a mystery.

I've got a puddle in my back garden that's quite muddy. That do?

I hope Danyl gets to read this thread he might find it amusing

It's like the X-files and the X-factor all mixed together.

Spppoooooooky.

I agree with Ronaldinhio, btw. I don't think he's all that. Good voice. Technically. Otherwise meh.

I too am taking it all rather too seriously.

when we were trying to buy our house in Arborfield, they made us do a bat survey on it first. That was a bit spooky.

Yes indeed murderonthemidnightexpress aren't we all. As a wise mnetter recently said x factor is taking up too much of my head space.

Curiouser and curiouser.
Are there any dodgy-looking janitors or talking dogs around? I'm thinking perhaps the man from the sausage shop?

We also had a plague of flies over the summer, that just affected Arborfield. It was a mystery that even made the local paper, the Wokingham Times. The cafe at the garden centre (also in Arborfield) had to close for a day for fumigation. All a bit strange..

It's probably that witch Cheryl.

Cheryl. I should have guessed.

If that Cheryl ever tries to set foot in Henry st Garden centre she won't know what hit her. And i'm not talking about the flies.

murderonthemidnightexpress · 27/10/2009 21:52

You could wave some garlic at her perhaps b&c?

Report
abitpearshaped · 27/10/2009 21:56

The local Ramblers, the W.I. and the Arborfield gardening and history society. Henry Street Garden Centre, that's their turf, and they won't have Cheryl disrespecting them.

Good idea I'll do that as it's not beyond the realms of possibility. Nirvana spa has had it's share of slebs. They might head down the road to the garden centre after to pick up a pack of seeds or maybe a nice pair of wellies.

Get her teeny tiny little hands dirty? Are you m a d?

What's it like working in a garden centre? I was looking at the manager lady of ours today as I corralled my children past the azaleas and thinking that might be quite a nice job (I am doing a horticulture course, so it's not entirely out of the running).
