I couldn't agree more - which was why I rebounded the expression onto the poster.

If you want to go hunting and dont like killing things there is the alternative of draghunting. I have always draghunted as I like the thrill of hunting but dont like killing things for fun. I went out at the weekend with a local bloodhound pack who hunted a volunteer runner! Not a fox in sight, nothing gets killed and 85 riders who had a great day out, mind you he did get a good licking at the end of the day

Amazing how this subject can really bring out the best and worst in people's nature.

Linking a business with a strongly viewed subject could be either profitable or a risky venture. Time will tell?! Who knows?

elastamum · 19/10/2009 22:37

I dont really hold a strong view on hunting. We have a shoot in the wood behind us, I know the gamekeepers who also look out for us as we are quite isolated. Round here if it moves they seem to hunt it. Its not my bag but it is very much part of rural life here

elastomum you're right, there are alrerntaives- I have heard so many people say it isn't the same though,a nd really surely the difference is lack of a kill?Which is where my sympathy runs out. Drag hunting looks like fun, I have to say.

Spiningtop you're right it is a risk but I do applaud people who will risk their income for their moral code. Not sure how many people will in truth care less when Christmas shopping approaches, mind.

ZephirineDrouhin · 20/10/2009 12:28

I would be AMAZED if Lush were "risking their income for their moral code" by doing this. Far, far more likely this is about branding, and encouraging more of their target market to come in and spend more money.

Trevor Morse is the only name that springs to mind. I would have thought, that out of respect to his family (and he was NOT elderly) the entire hunt sab movement would have closed. For the fox?

Would someone more technologically good than me please provide a link to the Trevor Morse story? RIP.

I used to buy Lush products until I found out how ethical they really are.
How can they call themselves ethical when they support oppressive regiems of Saudi Arabia and Sri Lanka by having a presence in these countries.
All I can say is FLUSH LUSH!!!
