I think his victory in the EU elections makes him think that he can reveal more of his true true heinous side.

How long before he starts extolling the virtue of gas chambers?

we are a small country...we can't keep "letting people in"....why do you think the BNP did so well?...because alot of people are fed up with the immigrant situation.....i'm afraid that is a fact.

FAQinglovely · 09/07/2009 21:29

but in the grand scheme of things we don't let them many in.

I can't find the page now - but we almost an identical number of emigrate from the UK in recent years as we did migrate to the country.

Asylum Seekers really are a tiny proportion of people that come into the UK - and that's the people he's talking about

FAQinglovely · 09/07/2009 21:31

and I think tbh most of the people voted BNP are ignorant fuckwits who haven't got a clue about the reality of the numbers - or of what the BNP really stands for

daftpunk · 09/07/2009 21:31

don't have any fiqures FAQ..but labour have admitted the BNP have given them a kick up the arse re; immigration...

LynetteScavo · 09/07/2009 21:32

Oh, Asylum seekers. Sorry, I hadn't noticed we were biing"swamped".

daftpunk · 09/07/2009 21:33

no FAQ..not all BNP voters are ignorant fuckwits....maybe just pissed off?

wrinklytum · 09/07/2009 21:35

I'm fairly pissed off with a lot of things in this counntry but would not for a million years vote BNP,though we now have an MEP of that ilk where I live, very sadly.Nick Griffin is an ignorant asswipe and the BNP promote ignorance and racial hatred.

FAQinglovely · 09/07/2009 21:35

pissed off with the tiny number of aslyum seekers of whom not all are granted refugee status to remain........or just immigrants in general?

As if they're pissed off about those that are "taking their jobs" - ermm hate to tell them this but large numbers are coming from WITHIN Europe

daftpunk · 09/07/2009 21:37

you have to ask yourself why the BNP have gained popularity...why do you think that is?

LynetteScavo · 09/07/2009 21:39

But FAQ the BNP don't like Europeans, either....inface anyone who is not pure bred British.

I'm curious to know how Nick Griffin will cope with working abroad.

kathyis6incheshigh · 09/07/2009 21:43

He doesn't seem to have done very well at making friends there, given his failure to get into a voting block with other far-right parties.

monkeytrousers · 09/07/2009 21:44

"How long before he starts extolling the virtue of gas chambers?"

Well, I'm not sure he has done this, but he has denied their existance.

FAQinglovely · 09/07/2009 21:46

I'm not suprised he's not making friends - he doesn't want any of those he has to work with to come and work in the UK at all

LynetteScavo · 09/07/2009 21:46

Dick head.

wrinklytum · 09/07/2009 21:47

Hmm possible factors...rising unemployment and economic crisis.Reminiscent of 1930s Germany.?????

I went out with a Zimbabwean guy once.He was a student. He had fled from Zim due to his family being persecuted.I also work with a doc who is Libyan and half of her family were taken out to a sports stadium and shot by Ghaddafis goons. Both of these people are doing marvellous jobs in the NHS,and our country would be worse of without their presence. Both fled here for their lives.

daftpunk · 09/07/2009 21:50

that's fine if people come here and work and contribute to society...but we can't have people coming here to live off benefits.....who's paying for it?

onagar · 09/07/2009 21:53

I wouldn't adopt his methods, but we do need less people not more (not just less immigrants). All those people who want to see animals free to roam should think about where they will roam if we don't make some room. Also all those people who post that they want privacy/quiet/freedom from smelling other peoples smoke/bbq, hearing neighours talking etc would be happier if we had more elbow room.

FAQinglovely · 09/07/2009 22:00

you do know that asylum seekers don't get any benefits don't you? Well they do but it's a mere fraction of income support levels and they are NOT ALLOWED TO WORK.

Once granted refugee status (and with current time scales this is often years after their application was submitted) they can work - and most of them want to work they don't come here to sit on their arses.

I'm not entirely certain but I also don't think that refugees are initially allowed to claim many of the benefits that you or I can either.

HolyGuacamole · 09/07/2009 22:00

Nick Griffin is a twat. That eye, what is going on with that? One eye is going to the shop while the other is bringing back the change

I think that a lot of people who can't be arsed really finding out about parties and their policies are attracted to the BNPs rebranding. Could it be as simple a process as (for example) "oh well, the big parties are stealing my tax money thru their expenses but the BNP care about British jobs for British people"?

Then there are also always going to be people who really and truly believe in what the BNP are spouting off.

varicoseveined · 09/07/2009 22:01

daftpunk - the very same people who are paying for the people who are born in the UK and "living off benefits".

HolyGuacamole · 09/07/2009 22:02

I feel strongly that we have far too many lazy people in this country who sit on their arses and weedle as much cash from the Government as they can. I'd like to send those people somewhere else and bring in the ones who fancy working for a living.

daftpunk · 09/07/2009 22:07

FAQ

when they are granted refugee status...where do they live? on the streets?..er..no, they have to be housed..they have to have health care/schools etc etc....it's a strain on our country.....

you say most of them want to work...what if there are no jobs for them?

wrinklytum · 09/07/2009 22:08

I think a lot of people are housed in detention centres until their asylum application is processed.

daftpunk · 09/07/2009 22:09

where do they go after that?

moffat · 09/07/2009 22:13

I live in an area where there are a lot of people from one particular very troubled country, and from where they fled in fear of their lives. The dss school has a high number of people from this country - and guess what - most of them work extremely hard and many of them are very highly educated and qualified. They are certainly not a drain on the country's resources.
