I am not a big fan or anything, and I don't feel more sorry for celebrities than for anyone else, but it all seems such a terrible waste. Hope for a miracle, as thats what it will take now, apparently.

I feel really sad for her and her boys, it really does not sound good for her at all...

Hoping for a miracle...

cali · 04/02/2009 10:03

here

cali · 04/02/2009 10:05

sorry was supposed to be link to bbc news.
hope this works

CrackerNut · 04/02/2009 10:10

I was really upset to hear this on the news this morning. I have watched the 2 episodes of her programme on Living tv in the last couple of months and she I feel so sorry for her and her boys. She seems like such a loving mum and worked all throughout her treatment even when it was obvious to anyone with a brain that she was too ill.

I am sick of reading comments on sites were people are complaining that she is still in the public eye whilst recieveing treatment. Imo she should do what the hell she likes and stuff what everyone else thinks.

I really hope that a way is found to help her.

bundle · 04/02/2009 10:12

this is very sad news

kettlechip · 04/02/2009 10:16

I'm no fan either but I found myself with tears in my eyes when I saw the news report this morning.
It's really an incredibly sad situation, for her, her family, and especially her boys, whom she obviously adores. She's had a pretty extraordinary life all round really. I wish her well.

brightongirldownunder · 04/02/2009 10:23

This is so sad.

SoupDragon · 04/02/2009 10:25

She's 27. it's awful

mumto2andnomore · 04/02/2009 10:27

Like everyone else I feel really sorry for her especially having 2 children so young.

NAB09 · 04/02/2009 10:33

This Morning are about to talk about Jade.

It is so sad. She is so young, has two lovely children, and from what I have read had been going to the doctor for a while before someone finally took more notice.

So so sad.

Amapoleon · 04/02/2009 10:37

Such a sad situation for any family, well any person really.

mindalina · 04/02/2009 10:38

It's very sad indeed, she must be going through hell I really do hope she recovers.

In many places though, you now can't get a smear until you're 26 So sadly I don't think this will much if any positive impact at all in terms of girls being more aware of the risks/going to get checked out or whatever.

kittywise · 04/02/2009 10:38

God, it's so, so very awful, poor woman. Like many I am not a fan, but how dreadful for her. She must be terrified

MrsMattie · 04/02/2009 10:39

I feel very sad for her and her kids. She is so young. They are so young. Its just a tragedy, really

ForeverOptimistic · 04/02/2009 10:39

I've just booked my smear for tomorrow. I am a year overdue we are actively ttc so I have been reluctant to book a smear but this has made me realise I can't put it off any longer.

missybroom · 04/02/2009 10:47

I feel soooo bad for her. All that she has been through,in the most public way.I know people say she brought it on herself but she is still childishly innocent in some ways, which I think is great!and like a child very vulnerable, wearing her heart on her sleeve.Unlike those other childish people who unfortunatly have so little regard for a life so as to consider the loss of it as an oppurtunity to 'have a laugh'.

It is very hard to reason with people like that. I think they should be exposed and paraded in the town square!,where people can throw rotton food at them. Sounds funny but really, how many conviced people do we see on our tv screens comming to and from the courts covering there heads! not to protect themselves from the rotton food (more's the pity!) but hiding their faces in shame! Shaming them is the way to go,if that does not do the trick JAIL THEM

I wish I could meet Jade face to face and give her a big hug, mostly to let her know that there are ordinary decent people out there who sympathise with her and wish her the best.

ProfessorCalculus · 04/02/2009 10:50

Her sons are about the sam age as mine. So sad for them and for her that she probably won't get to see them grow up.
I'm no fan of hers but even she doesn't deserve this.

meltingsnowqueen · 04/02/2009 10:51

I too am feeling very sad about this she is the same age as me and I have a son the same age as one of hers and to think of going through that is hell. She was the silly one from BB but she has grown so much from that. I know people won't forget the celeb BB in a hurry but for now we need to think of her boys.

Idrankthechristmasspirits · 04/02/2009 10:53

poor poor woman. She is so obviously devoted to her sons, this is a huge blow for all of them.

I saw a bit of the latest series on Living and she was talking about how she can't die as she needs to look after not just her sons but her mum too.

I really hope she can be made as comfortable as possible for as long as possible.

Lemontart · 04/02/2009 11:05

Very sad news. I hope she can fight this and be one of those who prove that low odds do not mean no odds at all. I too am thinking of her and her family and wish them well. I hope she is finding a sort of comfort from the media attention this time and can see it as doing some good for promoting awareness of this awful cancer.

Janus · 04/02/2009 11:15

Such very sad news, I feel so sorry for her and her family.
Can I say that I think your GP should give you a smear if you 'demand' one. Also, I think, a GUM clinic or well woman clinic will give you one no matter what your age.
I've had pre-cancerous cells twice, I'm 38, didn't have sex until 18, not many partners, it can happen to anyone. A smear is really a 5 minute experience which can save lives, please go if anyone hasn't been for their regular appointment.

wannaBe · 04/02/2009 11:28

I think it is sad that anyone should die so young.

But I don?t think it should be played out in the media. And while I understand the centiment behind wanting to raise awareness, I sadly don?t think that Jade is the person to do that, because I think it?s far more likely that the message would be overshadowed by what she has stood for in the past. She should be allowed to die in peace with her family, rather than having to spend the rest of her life fighting a losing battle against those who hate her.

TheCrackFox · 04/02/2009 11:29

That poor woman and her boys. I hope she gets her miracle.

snackattack · 04/02/2009 11:32

I'm so sad about this too. I can't bear to look at the picture of her on Yahoo homepage. I watched her programme once (and this photo was from that) when her hair was starting to fall out and I was in tears. My heart is breaking for her and her family and those gorgeous children. So very very sad.

mm22bys · 04/02/2009 11:33

She admits that she had gone public for the money, not for cars, she says, but for her boys after she's gone....

Just so sad....
