I am not a big fan or anything, and I don't feel more sorry for celebrities than for anyone else, but it all seems such a terrible waste. Hope for a miracle, as thats what it will take now, apparently.

It is very sad - she's very young.

Vinegartits · 04/02/2009 09:11

There was a thread about her when she first announced she had cervical cancer and everyone jumped on the bandwagon shouting that she was just saying it for media attention and she more likely had pre cancerous cells removed (which is quite common i believe) and not full blown CC. Its very sad, i feel very sorry for her and her dc.

CoteDAzur · 04/02/2009 09:11

Remember to do your smear tests regularly. It can happen to anyone.

The publicity will maybe do some good, as it may well bring young women up sharp. There is now a vaccination for young women, but apparently they still have to have smears as well.

I am a Jade Goody Fan and I am happy to admit it. She has been naive in the past but she has made the most out of what she has been given and it's all been for her young boys. If anyone should win mum of the year it should be her. Im sad to see websites where you can win an ipod for predicting her death. For the boys sake I am praying for a miracle.

It has highlighted cervical cancer in the press lately but it's such a shame that it may cost the life of a young mother to do so.

ScummyMummy · 04/02/2009 09:28

Poor woman. How utterly awful.

Buda · 04/02/2009 09:30

'websites where you can win an ipod for predicting her death.' - please tell me that you are joking. That is utterly disgusting. The depths society has sunk to in the last few years really makes me despair.

PurplePillow · 04/02/2009 09:34

I'm not a fan but have no ill feelings for Jade

But I do hope she gets a miracle

Her poor boys

Wouldn't wish this on anyone

ilovemydogandMrObama · 04/02/2009 09:34

Not a great fan of hers, but feel so sorry for her. Especially as cervical cancer has a high survival rate if caught early, and her doctors missed it, on at least 2 occasions.

WinkyWinkola · 04/02/2009 09:39

No, LightShines, I felt the same way.

It is terrible that her prognosis is so poor and the doctors missed the cancer on two occasions?

Her poor children. It's just awful.

Her death will be played out for all to see.

pinkyporker · 04/02/2009 09:42

Sadly true about website.

I looked for a fan website where I could leave a message but she doesn't have one.

MsSparkle · 04/02/2009 09:44

I have asked for a smear test twice in the past, i have been sexually active since i was 15 and have now had 2 children but they said i can't have one until i am 25. I am not 25 until Dec this year so can't have one till then. I really wanted one as well.

It's very sad and awful.

sadminster · 04/02/2009 09:53

because she's in a particularly high risk for developing cervical cancer - low socioeconomic group & sexually active at a young age. When I lived in London smears were offered to all sexually active women & girls regardless of age. Most of my friends started having smears in 6th form.

It's terribly sad

cali · 04/02/2009 09:55

I feel so sorry for Jade and her children. All you want to do as a mother, is to see your children grow up and for you to to provide as much love and security as possible.

There are still some, not on here, who are debating whether or not she really has cancer!!!

compo · 04/02/2009 09:56

Is there a link to a report about this?

The sad thing is when you google "Jade Goody" all you get are awful messages about the big brother row or people sl**ging her off.

If the worse happens and when her boys get older, they are going to search the internet to get to know their mum better and they will read all of these awful comments.
