I just recieved an email containing all of the BNP members list, complete with phone numbers and address.

The story has been reported in the press online today:
here

Not sure what to do with it - teacher and a policewoman are on the list but kids are too.

They are legal because of freedom of speech.
You can lose your job because holding certain viewpoints can conflict with your ability to perform a job.
Surely not that hard to work out?

Rhubarb · 20/11/2008 14:36

Actually sweetiepie, I said my brothers were born here. I have no idea what colour you are, I don't think I've inferred that. I just inferred that you were a woman suffering from PMT.

Let me explain to your befuddled mind. Democracy means that you are entitled to hold any political viewpoint and even have a group around that. You are not however, allowed to incite violence or hatred, that is illegal. Which is why you will not see any hint of that on their website, they don't want to be made an illegal group.

If you are a member of a professional organisation such as the police, you are meant to declare if you have any interests that may conflict with your ability to do your job. So for instance, if you have an interest in fox hunting and pheasant shooting, they are unlikely to give you a job in the RSPCA.

These people's interests have conflicted with their ability to do their jobs without bias or prejudice. They have not declared those interests to their employers. Therefore they could lose their jobs.

Is that any clearer for you poppet?

Who wasted a vote - I did not say I voted for them (did not vote at all in the last one as that would have been a waste). Did not really look into them until today but will definately think about it next time.

Riots - I can't imagine that a political party TODAY would be legal if they incited race riots.

lulumama · 20/11/2008 14:39

i was addressing htat point to ginghamribbon

NotFeelingNeighbourly · 20/11/2008 14:43

'My brothers were born in this bloody country. So you can piss right off.'

Don't get your point, are they not British then

Rhubarb · 20/11/2008 14:43

Here is a little more reading for you. and here and here from The Independent. Here is a story about how the BNP supported those convicted of the Oldham riots.

Rhubarb · 20/11/2008 14:44

Yes they are both British and they are black.

Litchick · 20/11/2008 14:46

If you look at the BNP website it is all very low key stuff but the central tenet of the party remains the same
-repatriation of anyone not born here
-repatriation of those not of a white anglo heritage even if they were born here.
That's not propaganda, that's BNP policy.
Google Nick Griffin and you'll find lots of artcilces and interviews where he confirms his views.

Rhubarb · 20/11/2008 14:48

"repatriation of those not of a white anglo heritage even if they were born here."

So my brothers would both be shipped off to countries they have never been to before, to be reunited with families who never wanted them in the first place and who may not even be there themselves anymore.

NotFeelingNeighbourly · 20/11/2008 14:49

So Rhubarb - what was your problem with my post?

It's people who actively seek out racism and find it when it's not there that have a lot to answer for

Litchick · 20/11/2008 14:50

nff - do agree with repatriation?

NotFeelingNeighbourly · 20/11/2008 14:51

Er, you missed out the 'voluntary' bit Rhubarb. You really have a chip on your shoulder, never mind my imagined PMT!!

Rhubarb · 20/11/2008 14:52

Your comments along the lines of "people like us" got up my nose, you never even bothered to explain what you meant by that. Your rudeness to lulumama and the attitude you had that because you were married to a Muslim you somehow had one over us all.

nickytwotimes · 20/11/2008 14:53

Making it voluntary doesn't really make it any better though, does it?

FFS.

You are aptly named, nfn.

Rhubarb · 20/11/2008 14:53

Yes, the Germans were told that the Jews had 'voluntarily' left too.

Litchick · 20/11/2008 14:54

nff - the fact that you corrected the BNP's policy on repatriation means you know a lot more about than you say.
Why pretend? Why not just come out and say you're a supporter?

nickytwotimes · 20/11/2008 14:54

I mean, it's like saying
"We do not want you here and will give you money if you fuck off somewhere else where you have no connection with."

NotFeelingNeighbourly · 20/11/2008 14:55

I agree with VOLUNTARY repatriation (with the financial incentive as well) as most of DH's family would not be here if their country was not in economic turmoil, they rarely see their elderly parents (send money home that is hard to find) and are constantly talking about their country.

If they were able (financially) to go back, they would in a heartbeat. Does that answer it for you sweetie??

I am sure a lot of people from other countries would go back for that same reason.

Lucycat · 20/11/2008 14:57

this works

if you really want to.

Lucycat · 20/11/2008 14:57

or at least it did for me!

nickytwotimes · 20/11/2008 14:58

nfn, do you actually listen to anyone else?

Rhubarb · 20/11/2008 14:58

Even if they were born here?

Do you still think the BNP don't incite riots by the way?

Hun x

Litchick · 20/11/2008 15:02

Seroiusly nfn why come on pretending to know nothing about the BNP?
Why not just stand up for what you believe in?
Do you believe in segrgation on race grounds?
Do you believe we should not admit refugees into the UK?
Mwah, mwah.

NotFeelingNeighbourly · 20/11/2008 15:04

Litchick - I found it within 2 secs on the website. Do you think that I should be afraid to say that I support them then? As I said I never read their manifesto until today because of the thread, could not understand why police officers and teachers would get involved.

I do not have to justify myself to any of you lot (OMG, will you take that the wrong way again as in 'people like us'). that you have to watch everything you say or think nowadays. My poor children - need to think about emigrating again. Just before someone else gets there first, good riddance to you too
