Shabster, just don't have any words. But you have great memories of him and that is what is important.

littlerach · 27/09/2008 16:04

shabster.

He sounds like he was a wonderful boy.

shabster · 27/09/2008 17:48

Just before his accident he said something which was rude and hillarious

Mam I dont think we wiv a very wong time do you?

I think we should gwab evewy day by the balls and shake it!!!

Since he has gone I have tried to grab every one of my days and shake it by the balls - dont always manage to do that but God loves a tryer!

expatinscotland · 27/09/2008 17:53

'My little lad did not see what was happening and the man who killed him, although it was accidental, has never, ever apologised.'

I knew someone who killed a 17-year-old girl.

He said she pulled her car in front of his car at a junction. At any rate, she wasn't around to tell her side of the story.

He went to trial and was acquitted .

And you know, he never apologised, either.

So I ceased to know him anymore soon thereafter because to me that says a lot about a person.

I'm sorry for what happened to your son.

Shabster, your sons are all lucky to have such a wonderful mother. Honestly you are a complete inspiration, look after yourself and all your family

shabster · 27/09/2008 20:46

Thank you everybody for your wonderful support....think I hijacked this thread, sorry to the OP

Monkeytrousers · 27/09/2008 21:10

big hugs shabs x

jenwa · 27/09/2008 22:09

shabster I am sooo sorry, that made me so upset reading that and I am so sorry for your loss. What a wonderful son you had. You must have been so proud of him.

It makes you sick to think there are people out there risking the life's of others. I dont know the circumstances with those twins and maybe they were not well and had no idea why they did it but I wish people could see what they are doing to others and the families that are left behind grieving, whether the family of the one who ran out or the families of the innocent who died avoiding someone running out in front of them.

mummylin2495 · 27/09/2008 23:11

here is the story

mummylin2495 · 27/09/2008 23:12

the link tells how one of them has been charged with murder

edam · 27/09/2008 23:19

Bloody nora, it is them! (Or her, I suppose.)

mummylin2495 · 27/09/2008 23:21

yes according to that report,i didnt really notice the timeline for it so will have another read of it

nametaken · 28/09/2008 00:01

Jesus, their brother is nutty too.

He said they only ran into the road because they thought the police were gonna gang-rape them (there were only 2 police officers initially and one of them was a woman) and that he would rather be hit by a truck than gang raped if he was a female

Ripeberry · 28/09/2008 10:58

Why can't they just send this nutty familly back to Ireland. Why did they move to Ireland in the first place?
They must be trouble everywhere they go.

findtheriver · 28/09/2008 11:17

Shabster don't apologise for drunken ramblings. You know better than most of us the devastation that people who disregard others' lives' can cause.

Many people live with mental illness for all or part of their life. Mental illness does not make you run in front of cars, endangering the lives of others. It doesnt make you violent towards police officers who are doing their job.

These sisters are fucking evil.

edam · 28/09/2008 11:25

or on PCP.

mummylin2495 · 28/09/2008 11:54

what is pcp ?

TheDuchessOfNork · 28/09/2008 16:32

PCP, phencyclidine, angel dust - have you not seen Trading Places?

It's similar to LSD, but far more dangerous, both for it's effects on the takers body and for the often violent, hallucinogenic side-effects.

Monkeytrousers · 28/09/2008 17:38

PCP?! lol You are all showing your age!

OP posts:
emma1977 · 28/09/2008 17:54

I would agree with PCP intoxication. Scary, violent hallucinations and acts of enormous strength are not uncommon. Terrifying stuff.

Very unlikley that 2 people would be acutely delusional in exactly the same manner at exactly the same time with exactly the same suicidal ideation- therefore non-drug induced mental illness not likely. Contrary to popular belief, most delusional people are not violent, aggressive or suicidal (some are, but the minority).

A tox screen would not necessarily be done on admission to hospital.

WendyWeber · 28/09/2008 19:06

Or ketamine? (Have been googling & found some well-educated fora )

nametaken · 28/09/2008 22:20

emma, they were identical twins, so it's quite possible that they were acutely delusional in exactly the same manner because they share huge amounts of DNA.

And I thought Ketamine was a date-rape drug. Used to make people seem drowsy.

These women were the exact opposite of drowsy.

themildmannneredjanitor · 28/09/2008 22:22

nametaken-emma is a dr you know
