WW - that story got me going as well - that was a huge trageyd, aesp as the son was terminally ill in hsop too. I was thinking about them last night while watching the news.

I think whatever has happened, there will be no "good" news linked to this. If the daughter is alive, she's lost everything in horrific circumstances. If she's not, then its a whole family wiped out for some terrible reason.

This is a horrible story but I must say that as it stands at the moment I think it's looking like he's missing and the mother and daughter are dead although obviously I hae no proof to believe this it's just how I think it's going to turn out.

On the other hand I don't know if it's been said but is it possible that the parents sent her away intending to kill themselves so that she would get the inheritance and be able to clear a.debts etc and live her life 'normally' IYKWIM.

Sorry FioFo I haven't seen much about nit so don't know about the man's body sorry am a bit behnd have been working for the last 4 days solid LOL.

Sadly, I suspect that he did it and they just haven't found the daughter's body yet - the house hasn't been searched completely yet.

Oh it's all so sad isn't it, i've been looking at the BBC report, and the Bebo messages left by Kirtie's friends... left me very weepy (soppy emoticon) they seem so very young

well police are now saying that they believe that the father killed his family and then set fire to the house then killed himself here

So sad - what a desperately terrible story - particularly that poor girl on Bebo. Read the reports and felt the same Wabbit. Why that bloody man felt the need to end the life of someone so young is beyond me - how could he have murdered that lovely girl. Tragic.
