my aunt is an ex primary head who lives locally
apprently they sent their lighting bill to be paid byt he police as the police hadtold them to keep the porch light on all night.

and afetr asda sent them a case of champagne they returned it and asked for more

i did wonder about this when the channel 4 prog was on about them, but just thought surely nobody could be wicked enough to do this to a child for cash, starting to think they could.

I was talking to someone about this today and they said it has been very fishy from the get go, their take on it was what if after seeing the amount of money donated to the McCanns appeal to find their child what if this family were on the make. Hide out with uncle Stevie for a while and see what happens.

I needed to let it out somewhere as there are few people that know I am connected to the family. I have a completely different name to Karen and to honest I'm glad. thanks for the hug, this is becoming very difficult for me. For so long I was watching the news dreading the worst for Shannon, was then elated when she was found. After watching that programme that did though, alarm bells started ringing and since then I have ended up watching the news as I had a feeling it was done for money. The noose is tightening around the family and I wonder who is going to be next.

I know it's prejudiced of me, but I did think to myself, WHAT has a 22 yr old got in common with a woman in her thirties with 5 children?? And perhaps I shouldn't be so shocked that two women, his mother and sister, colluded to harm Shannon, but I am. That shocks and upsets me..

The poor girl.. I hope that she gets all the counselling and help imaginable. I hope she can put it behind her.

I took one look at him on the news and disliked him straight away, sort of bloke my late gran would have called creeping jesus!!!

Hope shannon is found a loving foster home while all this is going on, and is protected from it. Also how thick is this man to leave the PC where the police could find it if he had something to do with the little girl being taken. Hanging is too good for the likes of him.

Kimi, I can assure you that I will not be judged, like I said earlier, nobody, except close friends and DF know. I cannot be judged by anybody else as I haven't really spoken out about my connection. I certainly will not be selling my soul to the devil and speaking out to any kind of paper as it has made me sick the amount they went on about money. I would rather be poor than do that. I hope to one day meet Shannon, when this is all over and done with and she's received the help she is going to need. To be betrayed is bad, when its your own family its sick and beyond. They need stringing up.

As I said before IC you are very brave and you have been very honest with how you feel, I truly hope you get to lead your life in peace and not end up having to deal with anymore fallout from this whole sad affair.

Sadly I don't think Shannon will ever escape what has happened, she is lucky to have a lovely auntie like you even if she has never met you.

One of the strangest things I found was, that there was a docmentary made so soon after she was found...not that I watched it....
