Yeah it's totally different from an adult man falling for a woman who's a bit older than him.

Two friends of mine are married to men 6 years younger. They both have great relationships with their husbands. It's not age gaps per se. It's the weirdness of somebody who is a mother finding something to talk about with a 17 yr old boy, or 15 or whatever he was when she met him!!! It just gets worse!

I can't think what I would have had in common with a 17 year old when I was 27 TBH

Hard to tell which bits are nonsense since clearly most of it is made up. People arrested on the basis of having had prior contact with err relatives who live round the corner. People confessing to taxi drivers and others revealing all to reporters.

Im shocked at the 'times' article that states that a local man was 'crucified to a tree' recently in that area.

apparently Karen Matthews has gone into hiding and neighbours are turning against her. Think that's why it is mentioned the three kids are in care. As she is too distraught or whatever to cope. I had read credible ( sorry using the Times as my truth benchmark) articles suggesting Shannon may have been on the at risk register prior to disappearing.
fwiw I'd give the tabloid the heads up on truth and fact on this case. The estate is tabloid territory. Money taken for snippets and stuff. I'd not be suprised to see the truth being very shocking. Sad for the kids indeed.

I heard on the grapevine that Wayne Rooney's parents used to own the divan bed in which Shannon Matthews was found. It was sold via Ebay in reasnable condition for £30.

I do consider the times to be less sensationalist than the tabloids. I too was at the man being crucified. Clearly this particular estate is well beyond the relms of what most of us would consider the norm.

It wouldn't surprise me if the motivation was money tbh. The documentary alone made me feel very , after all it wasn't a documentary to raise awareness of missing children, or poverty, after all, Karen Matthews has reiterated more than once that she thought someone that knew Shannon, knew where she was. To me the documentary had more of a "well the Mccanns were given money so where's our's" ring to it.

ultimately though, whatever the reasons, Shannon going missing is the best thing that could have happened to her and her siblings, because now they are all out of that family and hopefully stand a chance of a better future.

it did state that they received not payment for that ch4 programme though.
But there is a lot of money changing hands for these salacious tidbits that are in the tabloids.
And these are people with nothing, so of course they're going to grab any opportunity with both hands and says what needs to be said to get the returns

I didn't think she was released without charge Piffle, I thought she was on bail.

I just heard from my friend that reports now are that karen mattthews had been having an affair with the Uncle who was keeping shannon under the bed, and was planning running off with him.....gets more incredible by the minute this one!

Have not read all ten pages, so may have been said before, but I did shed a tear yeaterday when I read that Shannon wants to stay with her kitten at the foster families. What a genius gesture to give her a kitten to play with and love. This could be the turning point for her to have a decent stable life at last.

I read that she has been arrested too.. all very very odd.
