I actually like Russel brand . And I don't think he's ever hidden what he used to be in his heyday. He's always been very open about his drug use, and promiscuity.

I read his first book . I watch his videos on fb , and while I don't always agree with him, he seems to have totally overhauled his lifestyle, attitudes, is into yoga, self care, seems to be a decent husband and father .

Is this newsworthy ? Young famous comedian in heyday slept with lots and lots of women , consensually he says ?

On drug misuse I alWays had time for his views that it should be dealt with as a medical issue not a criminal one

I always feel like there is much glee and salivating before the media try and knock someone down.
I don't think this is a huw edwards where people would be shocked at him trying to pick up young women behind his wife's back

It seems that brand has settled down , lives a fairly mundane lifestyle and is happy with his choices .

It was very clearly stated in the programme where the parents were and how the 16yo was trained to quell their concerns.

Check out other anti establishment figures....the ways they have been discredited have been almost formulaic. Find some of his vlogs on you tube or rumble...he has a big following and has said some stuff which is startling hard hitting and not helpful to the powers that be.....I am not saying one way or another if this stuff is grounded in truth...just that it is " very convenient" , for the purposes of diluting the influence of an unwanted "influencer".

This is the sort of post I expect from you. I once said to you (after you mocked and misrepresented an experience I had with the police) that I didn't think you were able to reflect and take responsibility for your behaviour shown here. I still don't.

Whatever else I may think of you, I think it's particularly bad that as a woman who has suffered sexual violence, as you have, knowing how often women are subjected to similar, that you would automatically dismiss their claims.

It adds a whole new dimension of bad if you are doing the job you purport to do. That you, with all the additional knowledge of this area that your training and experience would bring, think that believing in people , believing in good means in reality that you automatically side with the accused in a case like this. That's not believing in good, or believing in people. That's just believing that bad people don't do bad things, and only believing the accused man... or at least it is according to this thread.

I think you really need to think about what you are posting at times, especially if you are representing yourself as a member of the police force.

The police don't come across at all well in your posts about them. You don't come across at all well in a large number of your posts and threads, most of which as I say, you have removed as "outing" when you've been told off by a fair few people.

Given my line of work I am always the very first to say innocent until proven guilty, and we can not allow speculation to replace real justice.

In this case the evidence of his shocking behaviour comes out of his own mouth. His offer to Jimmy Saville to send over his attractive ‘naked’ assistant and she will do whatever Saville wants was truly sickening.

Re Katy Perry, I always suspected it was an (emotionally, at least) abusive relationship behind closed doors. She was head over heels and he just lapped it up. I saw the clip of when she found out he was divorcing her, by text, right before she went out on stage. She had to pull herself together, stop crying, and force a smile on for her fans, literally as the platform rose up to the stage. It was unspeakably cruel, and some of us have been with abusive men who would have taken delight in doing it this way.

I do not not know. None of us do. But innocent until proven guilty. If it goes through a court with proper evidence and legal process then we can can have an opinion. Until then we do not know. What we do know is that character assassination is very popular...but whether this is the case here we also cannot know...not until AFTER official legal proceedings. Are there to be any?

He's one of those people who are mentally defective, you can see it in his eyes and his massive ego. Doesn't excuse what he's done but most people are born with that sort of defect and it's more men than women. I can spot them a mile off, most of them have those eyes that just sort of stare and their facial expressions are manufactured to get what they want. The defect is made worse by things like drugs and porn, though.

Only around 1% of reported rapes lead to a conviction (and many don't report because let's be honest what is the point). The justice system fails victims of rape and sexual assault. So I will continue to judge men who have multiple allegations made about them because innocent until proven guilty doesn't really cut it when so many get away with this behaviour time and time again.
