Thinly disguised smug oneupmumship like this just makes me feel so tired.
Pass the kitkats.

pmsl

'After more than half a decade of imposing a healthy diet on my children, I now know that those of us not raising sofa-slobs are creating a generation of judgmental food snobs instead. '

No middle ground available then??

mine eat healthy most of the time- loads of veg which they love. LAst night they ahd delivered pizza.

Goodness some epolpe make life so very HARd for themselves!

NAB3littlemonkeys · 15/11/2007 11:13

They do!! They are much creamier.

PrettyCandles · 15/11/2007 11:14

TBH if my 7yo knew how to test cheese for ripeness, I'd be fairly proud of him - but I wouldn't allow him to be rude about it.

bozza · 15/11/2007 11:15

But manchita you have just made your own DD sound like a brat as well.

As it happens I do cook from scratch but let the children have their own choices when out. Tonight we will be having stir fry and noodles. It will take me less than two hours to cook.

MarkStretch · 15/11/2007 11:15

I love the comment!

She found that jars had 'water' in them? Dear god, and 'water' is so bad for you!

oliveoil · 15/11/2007 11:16

do not

is this woman Cherie Blairs sister or something?

Oblomov · 15/11/2007 11:17

God, she is as irritating as I remember. She has to keep herself in the limelight somehow.

Oblomov · 15/11/2007 11:17

olive, yes she is. She was in jungle, get me out.

NAB3littlemonkeys · 15/11/2007 11:18

Try them oliveoil!

Yews, she is her sister. Same Dad I think.

THelesbellsRINGOUTFORCHRISTMAS · 15/11/2007 11:18

'My daughter Alex says: "This lasagne is OK, Mummy," puckering her lips at my offering (made with fresh tomatoes and bechamel sauce), "but Jean-Luc's has a deeper flavour."

and she is 7! ffs

pmsl can you imagine her when she gets older?

Wisteria · 15/11/2007 11:18

I don't spend 2 hours in the kitchen and I always cook from scratch, well most of the time I'm not quite sad enough to let it become my mission in life!

If either of my children ever behaved like that they'd go to bed hungry..... they sound far too precocious to me.

My children get really excited on the rare occasions when we've run out of bread and flour and they have to visit the shop - sometimes they come back with white sliced bread and they love it!!

moljam · 15/11/2007 11:19

omg only got part way through,i feel so sad for her, really i do

Oblomov · 15/11/2007 11:19

As Peachy says - she is incapable of a blance middle ground ? Loads of fresh stuff and a few oven chips never hurt anyone.
She is such a dick.

I do have organic eggs but do not think they taste any different, am just a ponce

my children have home cooked food, don't always eat it, tough shite if they don't, and I would not STAND for rudeness like she seems to

manchita · 15/11/2007 11:23

Thank you mild mannered janitor. I shall now withdraw from this debate as I have an evening meal to prepare.

hunkermunker · 15/11/2007 11:23

What rude children.

And yours, Manchita. And wtf is the "wish I didn't care about her so I could give her frozen food and chips like you lot" bollocks about?!

organic milk does taste nicer. imo.

hunkermunker · 15/11/2007 11:24

Ah, was it a joke. You should've said...!

MissusH · 15/11/2007 11:24

guess that's me flamed for sharing a slice of leftover pizza with dd this morning....

hunkermunker · 15/11/2007 11:25

Also, if Holly's so poncetastic about her food, why did she eat the 10 chemically gummy sweets in the first place?!

Blu · 15/11/2007 11:25

This is not an article about her 'difficult' children but a eulogy of self-congratulation.

I amy be awake retching from 6pm - 2am having read it .

(as I have commented as a response...but they are probably trying to weed out the hostile comments in favour of a balanced response!!)

Silly woman - (allergies etc aside) a handful of sweets wouldn't cause a child to be sick to that extent. Probably Listeria from the room temperature Camembert.

Wisteria · 15/11/2007 11:27

I didn't read your comments as a joke either Manchita! Helps to put a afterwards if you are joking I find.
