Who advised her? Bad move, the press are going to savage her.

Poor cow, I don't know how she puts up with it, I thought I had problems.

Marvellous the way HMM does all that work for charity and doesn't like to talk about it.....

She's charmless, I'm afraid, utterly charmless. I saw on the news she has been ditched by her PR people for going against their advice and doing these interviews. She does herself no favours whatsoever, and if there have been lies written about her (for instance, her prostitution) she can sue.

Heated · 31/10/2007 23:04

She was going so well ..describing how awful the press intrusion had been, the death threats...until she said, "and I've done nothing but work for charity for 20 years."

TwoIfBySea · 31/10/2007 23:16

Beatle botherer, she hasn't got a leg to stand on.

No great fan of Macca-thumbs-up but she is completely fruit and loopy. Seriously someone needs to have a word, she exaggerates to the point of farce. That radio 5 interview was beyond bizarre, if she is so worried about her dd does she not think of her dd googling this little gem when she is older? (Need Real Player to listen.)

Elizabetth · 01/11/2007 00:07

I hate the jokes about her only having one leg. Isn't that kind of crap best left in the school playground? It's pathetic to take the piss out of people because of a disability they have. That's the kind of level that people who don't like her seem to be stuck at though.

MrsArchieTheScaryInventor · 01/11/2007 08:41

I agree, much as I can't stand the woman, cheap shots about a disability is, well, cheap. Let's play nicely, ladies.

Bubble99 · 01/11/2007 08:59

I'm trying to be reasonable about her. But I can't get past her "I'd never heard of The Beatles."

paulaplumpbottom · 01/11/2007 10:12

Does seem a bit doubtful doesn't it. I knew who the Beatles were at 3

LadyHeatherMillsMcCartney · 01/11/2007 10:19

are they a band? what did they sing?

Bessie123 · 01/11/2007 11:46

heh

McDreamy · 01/11/2007 11:49

I don't think she did herself any favours yesterday at all although tend to agree with Philip Schofields comments on This Morning about her being misquoted with reference to Princess Di and The McCanns.

AttilaTheMeerkat · 01/11/2007 14:31

She's madder than a sack of cut snakes.

ipanemagirl · 01/11/2007 14:48

I'm ambivalent about her.
On the one hand I think she is a serious fantasist and golddigger but on the other hand she did have a pretty grim start to life and has worked hard to make a life for herself. She is quite a survivor and I imagine could be pretty ruthless in trying to achieve what she feels would make her safe/independent etc. But I also feel for her because I think she is probably incredibly fragile and wounded and hates to be hated. I don't think anyone can imagine how vile it must be to be vilified in the papers - even if you have courted publicity and even deserve a little vilification! I'm just so thankful that none of my life's mistakes have been writ as large as hers. Of course she's her worst enemy but she's not alone in that. So easy to hate but not necessarily fair to hate her however self imposed her ignominy is!

ipanemagirl · 01/11/2007 14:50

also I hardly imagine creepy macca is blameless in all this.

Bubble99 · 01/11/2007 14:55

'Cherry-sundae' hair dye.

Elizabetth · 01/11/2007 15:20

Well I just watched the whole thing on the GMTV website and she made some good points about the press.

You'd have thought that they'd have stopped after the paparrazi chased Diana into the tunnel and she died in the resulting crash but no - they've been looking around for another woman or women to hound ever since. People like Paris Hilton, HMM, Victoria Beckham all fit the bill.

I still remember watching footage of a photographer following Princess Diana to her car after she came out of her gym and shouting at her that she was a c*nt. No wonder these women go mad facing that kind of abuse and stalking every day. I thought HMM just seemed very angry and frankly I don't blame her.

JeremyVile · 01/11/2007 15:24

I agree, I hope her campaign to change the legislation is successful.
It was just the bits where she couldn't keep away from the subject of McCartney that let her down.

Squiffy · 02/11/2007 10:59

IF HMM wants some sympathy she should have a look at how Tierry Henry's wife has conducted herself since he walked out on her and their daughter. Absolute silence, dignified divorce, job done. She's a model who seems to have been treated disgustingly by her husband and she could have had a field day with the press... but she didn't. Because that's not the way you behave when there are children involved.

nuff said.

HappyDaddy · 02/11/2007 11:59

I honestly don't care about her or Sir Paul or how they've been treated.

She's going to be very very rich soon. That would be enough to keep me quiet and happy. Not wanting to bleat to the press all the time, just to keep my face in the limelight.

PestoPyromaniacMonster · 02/11/2007 12:01

I didn't see all the coverage, but I did see her queueing up in H & M yesterday morning whilst I was buying some tops for dd2. She looked really haggard & grim.
