OP posts:
haychee · 05/07/2007 19:41

still no one has answered the question

Twiglett · 05/07/2007 19:41

nork = Bust, Bosom, Boob .. take yer pick

haychee - nope its a grammar pedant thread

OP posts:
elesbells · 05/07/2007 19:42

here we go again

pagwatch · 05/07/2007 19:42

No it's not!
Read the original post . It is not about MM/shrek.

pagwatch · 05/07/2007 19:44

Ahhh
Thank you Twiglett.
If I don't have much in the way of norks do I just flounce ?

haychee · 05/07/2007 19:44

it says at the top of my screen:
Mumsnet Discussions: In the news : this might be controvesial but how come the people who have joined specifically to comment on how terrible MNers are in the Madeleine / Shrek thing

where is the title of grammer etc

I dont mean to go on, but im really confused now.

Twiglett · 05/07/2007 19:45

see the original post

the title runs into the OP

which says "how come they can neither spell accurately nor use the rules of English Grammar?"

OP posts:
Twiglett · 05/07/2007 19:46

honestly haychee .. I rather like you ... but you need rounding out .. have a stroll around active conversations (the link's at the top)

OP posts:
haychee · 05/07/2007 19:49

done that, nothing there of interest for me.

haychee · 05/07/2007 19:50

still no answer to my question, why?

Twiglett · 05/07/2007 19:54

because its one-dimensional
because you're judging other parents methods
because you don't actually know me, my children or our circumstances so have no right to having an opinion on how we raise our children
and because I can't be arsed

OP posts:
Twiglett · 05/07/2007 19:56

oh and because I get a rather strong feeling that it won't just stop there

so its passive aggressiveness I suppose, I don't want to be pulled in to a useless debate so I refuse to be

anyhow I'm off to converse elsewhere on various topics .. please feel free to do the same

OP posts:
haychee · 05/07/2007 20:00

It seems bizarre to me that no one can fully answer my question. Is it because you dont have an answer at all? I think it must be!
I am not a troll i think its important. im not judging your parental methods its a genuine question! What happens if your 6yr old finds out about madeleine in the playground rather from you. If someone can answer this question i might actaully drop it.

If my daughter found out about MMC, I would then explain it to her in simple terms, stressing the very different circumstances of that incident and her own situation.

See, easy.

filthymindedFlanders · 05/07/2007 20:02

Haychee, are your initials H and E perchance?

Now, Shrek - is the use of grammar in it always appropriate or not? Will my children pick up bad punctuation habits?

filthymindedFlanders · 05/07/2007 20:04

my ds has a shrek poster up emblazoned with the legend ''I Sucketh''..

haychee · 05/07/2007 20:04

oh hello mr mallory how nice to have your introduction!
I JUST WANT A FREEKIN ANSWER YTO A SIMPLE BLOODY QUESTION THAT IS ALL - ITS NOT MUCH TO ASK
and what is wrong with explanation marks? Do they offend you in some way - if they do i dont want to hear from such a FREAK

ConnorTraceptive · 05/07/2007 20:05

what's an explanation mark?

yawn

haychee · 05/07/2007 20:07

thankyou sue and hatrick
at last people who answer the questions rather than point out typing errors.
If it so easy to explain, why is there such an uproar about the ad?
Why would you prefer that they hear it third party rather than from yourself?

SueBaroo · 05/07/2007 20:08

SO DID I... !!!!!!
