[yawn]

who cares what a 'professional' would do

I am a professional anyway

a professional mum of 3

bloody good at my job too

Suzy27 · 08/07/2007 22:01

Dear Hatrick

I'm so glad that you never taught my child because I find your attitude dogmatic and your tone bullying.

You ask where you have been rude. These are your words:

"By the teachers Haychee....................so clearly in a sensitive way but shock horror still the same story however it is delivered , still the same effect on a sensitive child.

Listen Haychee you are a bit of a bore about this so I am off to do other stuff. Would be lovely to chat to you at some other time about something less repetitive though.

Honestly though try that accepting other parenting techniques thing, it is great and who knows .........you may even improve your own methods"

There were other examples.

And I totally disagree that the story, however delivered has the same effect on a sensitive child. That's ridiculous and, frankly, niave. If you are a teacher, you really ought to know that. Or why would Tony Blair have spent so much effort on spin doctors? Of course the way a message is delivered matters....

Dear Little Boot - principle is the same.

LittleBoot · 08/07/2007 22:14

No Suzy, the principle is not the same.

There is an enormous difference between a 5 year old and a 7 year old.

Or a 6 year old and an 8 year old.

That is why a U certificate film is expected to be suitable for a 4 year old as much as an 11 year old.

Why am I bothing to repeat all these arguments? We've been through this.

LittleBoot · 08/07/2007 22:16

And you've asked a professional.

Big deal.

Professionals differ. Some of them follow one professional fashion, others follow another. You place yer bets and you takes yer chances. What you don't do, is put faith in what a "professional" says as gospel.

I also found this comment wearying:

"you sound like a pack of hysterical, bullying hyenas. Were the personal comments entirely necessary?"

Um... insulting everyone who disagrees with Haychee on this thread by comparing them to hysterical, bullying hyenas... quite a personal comment there... was it entirely necessary d'you think?

Do you see?

FGS.

And you expect to be answered politely and reasonably? At this time of night?

Good night Suzy.

I apologised

I didn't agree with haychee and I don't agree with you suzy but I did apologise for my comments though I don't think haychee or wannabe (for comment I made on a related thread) saw it.

I was driven to pulling my hair out with some of the comments haychee made however I do admit to responding in a childish manner.

Just wanted to set that straight. Thanks.
