ShrekHorror, click on the In the News link at the top and the cake thread is the thread directly below this one.

tiredemma · 05/07/2007 21:10

ROFPandLMAO

Ah you're great haychee, well done with the staying power, pat on back, stick around blah blah....Bollox, you're a complete bastardization of the concept of mothers and intelligent women in general.

I'll get banned for that and I don't give a continental shite.

good luck

Twiglett · 05/07/2007 21:12

Here's a snippet about Margaret Hill

"Gunmen smashed in the windows of a car carrying a British girl to school Thursday and kidnapped the three-year-old "

OP posts:
haychee · 05/07/2007 21:12

You all seriously think another child broke the news as gently as we would?
Again, i repeat to reinforce my opinion is, i do not agree with the wording used in the ad.

Lisalumps · 05/07/2007 21:13

I personally thin we should be telling our kids about the cake story, at least that won't give them nightmares.....or would it?

MascaraOHara · 05/07/2007 21:14

My dd was upset re. Madeleine when she was told about it (at school I think).. and kept asking and asking if she was dead/scared etc so I told her that Madeleine had just wandered off and was back home with her parents all safe and sound now. She's not fretted about it since. It's not my 5YO's place to worry about such things IMVHO.

NKF · 05/07/2007 21:14

I think the headmistress should announce it in assembly because after all, why not. Beats having to think of something relevant with a moral lesson to discuss.

Oh, I see. That explains everything

AbRoller · 05/07/2007 21:17

thank you CT, I quite like it

ShrekHorror · 05/07/2007 21:17

LL you are right - thats a fab story. am taking myself off to funnier climbs - finished the popcorn and even the scab-picking draw of this thread has worn off.

NKF · 05/07/2007 21:18

what's the cake story?

Lisalumps · 05/07/2007 21:19

"Only entrant in cake competition comes second" It will make you laugh!

SueBaroo · 05/07/2007 21:20

cake thread

Lisalumps · 05/07/2007 21:20

Go to In the News it's about the 4th thread down

NormaStanleyFletcher · 05/07/2007 21:20

I am off too - there is no point trying to talk to someone who ignores posts and questions that do not agree with her own point of view, yet takes one post that she thinks agrees with it and decides "that is the fuel i needed to restart my fire"

UCM · 05/07/2007 21:21

Actually, I popped in earlier and saw that everyone was upset, but never got a chance to work out what was going on.

This argument in 20 words - anyone?

NKF · 05/07/2007 21:21

Marvellous. Just great.

haychee · 05/07/2007 21:21

All children have great sensitivity dont they? Thats why they tell younger kids scary stories in the playground.
And, MASCAROHARA has yet another terrified child who had the news broken at school.!
Suprise suprise, the unexpected hits you between the eyes

NKF · 05/07/2007 21:22

I love the fact that she once won third prize and was the only entrant.
