It looks like the Morocco lead is being taken seriously, and there is a poster in Arabic that people are being encouraged to send to North African contacts. The poster is here .

Just heard on radio that two people have been taken for questioning - Murat's girlfriend and ex-husband.

I just heard it on the radio too, but nothing else, do we know anymore?

I hope so much that they find Madeleine soon, as the days go on it must get worse and worse, the pain must be unbearable.

Everyday since little madeleine was taken I have switched on the news hoping for some good news that she has been found. But everyday there seems to be no more news than there was two weeks ago. I cannot believe that no-one has come forward with genuine info to lead the police to her, surely someone somewhere knows something. The longer this goes on the more I think we may never know where madeleine is. I know some media reports have been attacking the mccanns for leaving their kids in the first place but just imagine what those parents are going through. I feel sick when I see madeleine's photo and I am not her parent. I have a DD the same age and could not imagine how I would feel in their shoes.
The only good thing that has come out of this is that I appreciate my children much more, try not to get annoyed with them when they are naughty and have not let them out of my sight. Lets hope there is some news soon. I pray for madeleine and her family and hope we hear something soon x

mumof2, yes I know, horrid isnt it. I just read a distressing news article from new zealand herald, saying Police losing hope Maddy alive. The article is quite shocking. But I still have hope in my heart and desperately want her home and to be safe.

Agree, I feel quite sick every time I think about this poor little girl and her family. Find it hard to push the thoughts out about my own ds being in the same situation. Hoping desperately for good news (but actually trying to avoid all coverage!)

Just seen on the news they have released Robert Murats girlfriend after questioning. I think I am going to have to try avoiding the news now as can't stop thinking about poor madeleine and although it is really sad and it is making me feel really sad you have to get on with things. I know people will probably hit back at me and say it's not your kid etc etc but as a mother I think these things hit home to you.

mumof2, no they wont hun; everyone has to move on, get on. Its not possible to watch news coverage 24/7. And thats why our hearts go out to the McCanns, because they have to carry this burden day and night.

Personally I cant understand why there hs not been more/better progress, but heck, Im not the investigator (s), and also wouldnt have a clue where to start. Im sure (hope) they are doing all they can. Take care hun, bless you. xx

Thanks 4 that. I was on this thread briefly last week and it was awful so have steered clear until now. There are some funny people out there!
Pray for good news and in the meantime I will return to my DD and DS who seem more intent on playing than eating their dinner and prepare myself for a nightshift at work!!

Agree with you both Wolfgirl and Mumof2. I work with a psychologist and she told me definitely best to avoid all coverage if you find it upsetting. We can do all we can to practically help (money, message, posters etc) but then nothing is served by torturing ourselves with bad thoughts. It definitely doesn't mean we have forgotten, lost hope or stopped supporting the McCanns in our hearts. Take care - it's good to know you're out there!

oh, that is a sad article. i have tried not to watch the news cos it makes me really upset. it feels like they have just let her go (the portugese police)

It does look like he is trying to be diplomatic but that the Prtugese seems needs a bit of a shake up to help these prro kids -- as Madelein is not the fist and probably won't be the last.

Poor poor Madeleine.

And I also must say I don't think I'll take my 4 year old DD to Portugal any time soon.
