Rhubarb, I agree it's offensive. And it should be deleted. That's why I felt compelled to add to this messageboard (having not used Mumsnet before)...Madeliene is not sport..she is someone's daughter, who is lost and alone.

I agree Rhubarb, please MN delete this, it has turned out to be the worst of all the 'news' threads.

I have been genuinely shocked by some of the vile comments that have been posted about this case and have in the past asked for MN to delete posts. Can't believe this has gone the same way.

I did google the Russian guy and mention it on here but I wasn't 'looking for clues' FGS. What MrsSpoon said about an interview was a JOKE - let me just apologise now before anyone says a joke on here is wrong too.

I am also guilty of reporting stuff from Sky News (albeit with an apology each time) and I do actually think Sky are a load of speculative sensationalists (and have said so) but did it when there has been something on TV and not updated on their website. Before someone jumps on me for that, I watched two bulletins yesterday and don't have it running all day.

I don't believe any of the psychic or dream stuff either.

Not so long ago mumsnet was in the news as being vile cows who just slag people off. Well Gina ford must be really happy about this one.Mumsnet is a wonderful place full of support and caring people. My guess is lots of people that have never heard of Mumsnet will now try to find to see if she is right or get some support. What a nice thread to find.
Yes people have taken it a bit too far trying to solve the crime , but this is real life and human nature that is how some people cope with something like this. Some people really feel frustrated and want to help.

Every time I check this thread my heart sinks with the sarcasm and piss-taking some posters are taking glee in, at the expense of someone else's lost child.
