For those of you who are interested - and don't want any arguing - the news update according to Sky

• police are now looking for a man seen in a white van
• they have an e-fit of him
• also want to interview an american who lives locally who owns a white van and hasn't been seen for the last few days
• reward of £1.5M has been offered by the News of the World

it certainly is i still think they will get her back,and i also think they have alot more on this guy.

I really don?t think it?s right to compare this man with Ian Huntley. That implies that anyone who is helpful to police is a suspect, and perhaps if people take that view others will be less inclined to help in future.

Tiredemma I think it?s more the media assuming his guilt rather than the police tbh. Chances are they know a lot that they?re not telling, and no-one has actually said what he?s being accused of, it could be a minor detail, ie failing to report information that was relevant or something. Just because he?s been named as a suspect doesn?t mean he abducted Madeleine or even that he knows where she is.

"psychic claptrap" wannabe - you need to argue with God on this one then, because the Bible - which of course is Gods word! says this:

Deuteronomy 18:10-11
Let no one be found among you who ... practices divination or sorcery, interprets omens, engages in witchcraft, | or casts spells, or who is a medium or spiritist or who consults the dead.

So, if God forbids man to contact the spirits of the dead, then it has to be "phychic claptrap" anint so "claptrp" - eh!!!. And if the source of power of those that do contact the dead, is not from God - who is our maker and author of life, then who do these people who forsee things (both past, present and future), get there insight from. Its NOT from God - who is loving, truth and light, so it must be from the opposite source - the devil - who deceives, robs and destroys (and comes in many guises).

Now of course this opens up another debate, which I am not prepared to go into on this thread. But your tone - throughout - snapping at things that others have to say is very nasty, and I dont care for it, so please, if I make comments in the future, try and refrain - if you can - from commenting - that would make my day - big time

OK, you're going to think I'm mad but anyone want to believe the drawings guy? because I may have found another link in his latest drawing - I know I'm barmy

Apparently the police have been inundated with psychics making various claims. There is some scepticism about this Brian guy as apparently many of his dreams are posted on his site after the event when information can be picked up on Google by anyone and he also apparently changes some of his dream reports/drawings later.

wg I haven't snapped at anyone to my knowledge. If you believe in God then peace, but I don't and I don't believe the rantings of some nut on the internet either. Anyone ever see that programme where Derren Brown went over to the states and proved how easy it was to claim to be a psychic and talk to the dead?

Wannabe- I really do think its wrong to compare him to Huntley, wanting to help should not deem you to be guilty.

PC agree with you and for all the media knocking the Portuguese police it could be they've been observed for a while. Let's hope it all gets a result soon .

Meant to say re psychics, being a bit barmy myself now but I have made a pdf of Brian's dream thing to compare to see if he does change his web page in light of what the eventual outcome is. I am generally extremely skeptical about this sort of thing - also realise we are all straying away from the thread which is meant to be just news updates - apologies.

I actually came to this thread to see if there was any news. Surprise, surprise! Like all the others before it, it has turned into speculation and argument and gone off topic.

Robert Murats company is called Jacinto-Murat and if you search about this company they are also linked to a hotel by their email address - type jacinto murat in the box - look at the second address it's a hotel

Wannabe, I dont know about this guy Brian. And you are right, anyone can claim to be a physcic after an event. But please, do not underestimate that there ARE people out there with such powers. If the bible tells us they exist, then they exist.

I mean the portugeuse (sp?) police have released very little informtion throughout this,

why would they start handing it out now?m they must know something more about him (previous offenses, something on his PC ect)

TBH at first i though she had been abducted by gypsies or something (like ben neeedhams mum thinks happened to him ) to be 'illegally adopted' but if this man has taken her then that situation seems unlikely and this more sinister situation rings alarm bells

And what i dont understand is (Sky news have just had a portugese lawyer on saying in portugese terms he is the main suspect) and if that is the case why is he wandering free?

dont know what to think about this?, but in his drawings, he wrote vilamur(sp) which people took to be Villamor in protugal, but its also been said the murats villa in portugal woul be called by the family name of villa Murat?
