This is slipping from the news and the police are starting to scale down their seraches.

Evidence seems to suggest that Madeline may have been taken to Spain and yet very few people out there are aware of what has happened or what she looks like etc.

We need to send as many emails as we can to Spanish businesses with a poster attachment and highlight this case.

I need mumsnetters to volunteer.

I have called in sick today to get this started but this is a massive task and I cannot do it on my own.

Please let me know if you can help.

We are jsut waiting for the text to go with the email header and then we can start sending.

but they wouldn't though would they? children go missing all over the world every day, not talking about poor disadvantaged children, am talking about children from all walks of life, and they're not reported in the news, because it doesn't really have anything to do with us. And no statement has been made saying that it's believed she's in spain, it still is just an assumption, so the spannish would have no reason to be told iyswim.

I have found an online spanish business directory website called think spain.com

You can visit the site and search for hundreds of different business categories for the different Spanish Regions.

This would be a good way to get out contact list organised and it gives email addresses too.

I think that there is every possibily that she is no longer in Spain - who knows?

There does appear to be images of her though at a filling station close to the Spanish Border so it's possible that she was taken via Spain to somewhere else.

It might help to jog someones memory?

The translations might take a little while longer. I would imagine they are simply trying to ensure it's all done properly.

You could try ringing in about an hour to get some idea of when it might be ready. In the meantime, are there any Spanish translator mumsnetters out there who might be able to check the text or help in case the job is going to be delayed?

Another useful link: iti.org.uk (professional body, not an agency) has a list of qualified and experienced translators and I'm sure one of them would be happy to do this for free under the circumstances.

have emailed friend who lives in spain and asked that she send to all of her spanish contacts.

Someone mentioned emailing airlines that travel between the UK and Spain, you may want to add jet2.com, Flyglobespan and Ryanair to your list.
