This is slipping from the news and the police are starting to scale down their seraches.

Evidence seems to suggest that Madeline may have been taken to Spain and yet very few people out there are aware of what has happened or what she looks like etc.

We need to send as many emails as we can to Spanish businesses with a poster attachment and highlight this case.

I need mumsnetters to volunteer.

I have called in sick today to get this started but this is a massive task and I cannot do it on my own.

Please let me know if you can help.

If anyone can translate the poster into arabic I think that might be helpful.

The poster can be e-mailed to north african ports if that's possible - she might be on a boat, or e-mail the poster to the large hotels in places like Morocco.

Would it be worth adding that her hair may be different.

I'll e-mail the posters if anyone can do this.

My husband is a graphic designer - I could see if he can recreate the poster showing her distinctive eye and add Spanish text.

We should try and target Gap Year websites - chat rooms etc- and also make sure that everything we send out has the number that you call if you are outside the UK, with information. I'll see if I can find some good sites and we can bombard them...

Are you folks sending a generic email to companies, or is everyone making it up as they go along?

i'm just writing my own along with the poster attachments

DH has forwarded the poster on to contacts in transportation companies that send trucks throughout Europe.

I think making up as we go along - but maybe there is some merit in putting together some words that people can just cut and paste, together with the web address for downloading the posters and web banners? What do you think?

I think it's probably better to actually forward the posters to them, as it's more likely they will print them off then, imo.

Thought I'd try STA travel - do you think I should try their marketing dept - not sure which email address would be best?

Brilliant idea. I also know that there are lots of sites where you can catch up with people who are on their travels, so I will try and get the web addresses for them. Also - what about money transfer companies? Like Western Union - they must have a huge amount of international traffic? Anyone know the names of any others?

Agreed on sending the posters attached rather than just the web addresses, but I'm not sure how to attach the web banner ads, so its important to include the web address also so that companies can use either the poster or the web banner. Unless I am being an IT thicko, which is more than likely!
