Madeleine McCann - we need YOUR help to try and find this little girl.

This is slipping from the news and the police are starting to scale down their seraches.

Evidence seems to suggest that Madeline may have been taken to Spain and yet very few people out there are aware of what has happened or what she looks like etc.

We need to send as many emails as we can to Spanish businesses with a poster attachment and highlight this case.

I need mumsnetters to volunteer.

I have called in sick today to get this started but this is a massive task and I cannot do it on my own.

Please let me know if you can help.

I've been feeling so disheartened since I read in the Sunday Times that the chances of finding Madeleine alive (or any child 'snatched') sharply diminish after 48 hrs.

I just don't understand WHY anyone would go to the trouble of snatching a little child just to kill her. I know I'm being badly blunt and terribly naïve but am so frustrated!

Dd(6)saw the picture of Madeleine & said, 'oh that little girl looks like me! why's she in the paper?' I explained briefly & dd immediately went running off to the neighbors' shouting, 'hey, you lot, we've got to go to Portugal right now and find the little girl that's been taken!'

Later over dinner: 'if anyone tried to take me when I was asleeep I'd open my eyes & kick them in the face!'

I can't bear it.

what about myspace? and the other blogging sites - whoever they may be. On myspace it's possible to have a photo linked to your page, and to send that to your friends etc etc. the word could be spread that way?

I've just watched the news and apparently one of the people they are looking for is a Polish woman. Whilst I appreciate the points about venturing into territory that might prejudice any police investigation, it can't be unhelpful or prejudicial to make sure that as many people as possible circulate the photo of Madeleine around any Polish people they know, both here (I know there are many Polish communities in the UK) and also in Poland? Surely all exposure of the story and of the approved images of poor Maddie, can help, however remote the chance?

right, I have Polish builders in atm, all with families back in Poland and I am going to be giving them all posters, which they will hopefully send home.

Really what did they say cant bear to watch the news at the moment
