Glad his suffering has ended. Sad his parents' has not.

A real tragedy.

Butterymuffin · 28/07/2017 19:32

Terribly sad even though it's ended his suffering. Sleep well Charlie. Hope Connie and Chris have support around them.

valarian555 · 28/07/2017 19:37

Rest in peace , sweet baby Charlie .

Lucysky2017 · 28/07/2017 19:38

That was quicker than I thought. I thought they would keep him alive in hospital for his birthday.

Sostenueto · 28/07/2017 19:38

Thank you all for accompanying me on this journey through these amazing and informative threads. I have learned a lot, cried a lot at shared stories, and have been in awe at how balanced and compassionate you have all been as we have discussed such a heart breaking and tragic case. I hope Connie and Chris find peace and have the strength to support and comfort each other through these sad times to follow. To Charlie I am glad you have finally found peace may you soar high with your beautiful wings. Peace to all, may your lives be long and happy.Flowers

lucysky the court judgement was that he was to be moved by Friday. May his family find peace.

ConfidentlyUnhinged · 28/07/2017 19:42

No more pain sweet boy. I so hope some day, some how, your parents find peace. I cannot imagine their pain. They could not have done more, tried more, loved harder.

Mummyoflittledragon · 28/07/2017 19:43

Flowers little Charlie.

Drinaballerina · 28/07/2017 19:44

I'll be saying a little prayer for Charlie and his family tonight. Agree or disagree his parents fought with everything they had for him, I hope they have lots of support with them at this heartbreaking time xx

Whileweareonthesubject · 28/07/2017 19:44

Rest peacefully, Charlie. May your parents find peace, knowing they did all they could do.

Lofari · 28/07/2017 19:47

Haven't commented on these threads so far but I've read them all.
I'm so sad to read the news but also pleased for Charlie in the sense that he's finally at peace.
My heart breaks for his parents. I hope they have people to hold them tight tonight.
Fly high little man, and know you were very loved.

Rarotonga · 28/07/2017 19:48

RIP beautiful Charlie, sleep tight. Thoughts with Connie and Chris, my heart goes out to them xx

AcrossthePond55 · 28/07/2017 19:51

Lovely thoughts sos and I'd like to thank you for the lovely bits of music you've contributed. Music does wonders and certainly does 'soothe the savage breast'.

Peace to you, and to all.

Spuddington · 28/07/2017 19:55

Oh Charlie. Rest easy baby boy.

I'm going to sneak up and watch DD sleep for a little while.

Overtiredbackagain · 28/07/2017 19:57

Go play with the Angels darling boy, rest in peace.

Cuddling my babies tighter tonight xx

So sad for the family, but relieved that Charlie is out of pain. I'll be lighting a candle for him tonight.

ArmySal · 28/07/2017 19:58

Just heard now.

God bless Charlie and loved ones.

Feelingthestrain · 28/07/2017 20:00

My heartfelt sympathy to Connie and Chris. Losing a child is agony, and it's very hard to find comfort, but I truly hope they can lean on each other to get through the difficult days, weeks, months and years ahead. My thoughts are with them both, and I hope the hospice can provide suitable support for them.

Salmotrutta · 28/07/2017 20:00

Poor little boy - he's at peace now.

I hope that as time passes his parents can also find peace.

The Charlie Gard threads on MN are easily the best, discovered them maybe two weeks ago, and the info and personal stories people have contributed are so deeply poignant.
The MN threads had substance, and lots of facts from professional staff who work in hospitals, to lawyers..the links are very useful, and the Pistonheads link from the''mansplainer [Tinsel's term] was very interesting. [google pistonheads CG].
It would be good if the Charlie's parents just retreated from the public eye now, to heal.Let's hope the journos will allow this..but somehow doubt it.
