Ok guys, we have been very lucky to discuss this, please lets not give anyone anything to complain about, Mhq have been more than accomodating.

LapinR0se, have just saw it.

MontyPythonsFlyingFuck · 26/07/2017 17:47

It's a shock, but not a surprise, to see from Connie's reaction in court that she actually hadn't accepted (or maybe allowed herself to understand) the reality of the situation at all. Poor woman. I wish I could give her a cup of tea and a hug.

IfYouGoDownToTheWoodsToday · 26/07/2017 17:47

"Connie is posting on facebook asking for an intensive care consultant to come forward!"

That is exactly what I thought would happen! The judge should have just locked this down and made a decision!

quicknamechangeofshame · 26/07/2017 17:47

Utterly devastating for all involved. I'm glad, for Charlie's sake, that the judge has finally given orders, but something else is bound to come up. CY has already posted on her facebook account asking for help. I'm not sure they would even be able to stop fighting at this stage.

MissHavishamsleftdaffodil · 26/07/2017 17:47

It's the difference between those who will come looking intentionally for the thread to catch up because they've been following, and a high traffic thread showing up on Active in the evening when the site is busy and people casually dropping by to lob a hand grenade.

Still think the answer is to let this one go quiet and go chat somewhere else.

LapinR0se · 26/07/2017 17:47
Shock
Ceto · 26/07/2017 17:47

It would be tragic if C&C now spend all their time till noon tomorrow chasing around after an intensivist rather than with Charlie.

CremeFresh · 26/07/2017 17:47

Highly unlikely but could the 12 o'clock thing be a red herring to throw the press off ? So that Charlie can be moved tonight ?

I hope there is a way to get Charlie and his family out of GOSH privately and without fuss when the time comes.

I'm not convinced it's reasonable for us to speculate about that.

muckypup73 · 26/07/2017 17:48

IfYouGoDownToTheWoodsToday, he has though, he has said o more court and to come to an agreement by 12pm tomorow or life support is switched off within a few others, that is a decision, Gosh will not give in, so it will have too be that Connie goes with Gosh decision to move Charlie where ever.

TheWeeWitch · 26/07/2017 17:48

No red herrings. Connie has indeed just posted on FB asking for a Dr to email Charlie's godfather.

jinglejanglejobs · 26/07/2017 17:49

I'm glad that at minimum, Connie's directed people to send information to the godfather rather than herself. She's taking her time with Charlie while she can.

CremeFresh · 26/07/2017 17:49

Obviously not given the latest requests for help Sad

MirandaWest · 26/07/2017 17:49

So is the issue that it currently isn't possible to have ITU in the hospice and so they would need a team to provide that? I am sure this has been covered but I have probably missed it.

oakleaffy · 26/07/2017 17:49

Mucky..it is nearly wine o clock..and that is when people can get aerated..

Sluttybartfast · 26/07/2017 17:49

Surely he should have made the decision for them, so the parents can spend time with Charlie. Instead I expect they will be frantically trying to find something else to come to court about.

He has, though...? There's no way for them to come to court again. Either Gosh and the Gards agree and do what they agree, or his order for hospice transfer is executed. The legal avenue is completely closed now, he has made that clear.

muckypup73 · 26/07/2017 17:50

Ceto, thats my thinking.

IfYouGoDownToTheWoodsToday · 26/07/2017 17:50

If they had agreed to the Hospice in the first place, (which GOSH, said would happen on Friday) they could have spent this week with Charlie, rather than being in and out of court. Sad

Sirzy · 26/07/2017 17:50

I really hope neither of them are at court tomorrow and they leave the legal teams to fight out any last details. They need for focus on spending what time they have left as a family wherever that may be.

I also hope one of the child bereavement charities can work with them as they obviously wont accept the support offered by GOsH

I agree. Can we please not have the cut and pastes of the Charlie's Army posts. I've not gone on the Facebook page and never will. I don't want to see the stuff here. Just as I'm sure they wouldnt want to see posts from here

Can we not just accept that most of them were genuine in their feelings (misguided or not) and will no doubt empathise with the parents; albeit based on a different rationale

MirandaWest · 26/07/2017 17:50

I think I agree with you MissHavisham. Am presuming this hasn't already been set up?

muckypup73 · 26/07/2017 17:50

oakleaffy, bloody hell that time already??? lol
