Gard: Court now adjourned to await arrival of the family’s specialist doctor.

This is madness. Shame on that doctor for offering. Whatever he's offering, this is not a care plan formed with Charlie at its centre.

Francis J must be in his chambers muttering and eyeing up the decanter right now. Poor man, how he's prevailed through all this I've no idea.

Most of all though, poor Charlie. None of this is about him any more.

I agree that it will take ages to check out credentials.

It's not about what they want though, is it? It's about Charlie.

They may not have his CV but surely they can contact him get his registration number etc off him? Information that CY legal team should already have really

So the court has adjourned for 30 minutes, presumably for Armstrong to talk to him. JF has bent over backwards to accommodate C&C.

GOSH's statements have been nothing but sympathetic towards C&C in their statements, they withstood the case going back to court for new evidence recently, from a doctor who hadn't even read the medical reports or court judgements.

And yet so many people will say and are saying that the system has been entirely biased in GOSH's favour.

I really hope that the judge sticks to his intention to decide the case today.

But even if he does - can C&C appeal? Extending it even further?

How many more 'experts' does this case need? This is just awful now, that poor child.

Place marking. The Judge needs to take this all in hand now and stop the circus.

I wish the admins on CA were able to find the time to double check some of the other Italian posts. Not all, but a handful, have taken a very pro-life at any cost stance, and their messages might be better removed/ the posters blocked if the family's feelings being spared is one of the group's aims.

If they are not a paediatric intensivist what the badgering feck are they doing getting involved?

At an early stage Francis said something about having another case or cases listed for the rest of the week. The fact that he's had to reorganise presumably mean that, unless something has changed in relation to that case, the people involved in it are having to wait and are running up more costs. C&C can't claim that the system hasn't bent over backwards for them.

BE INtersting to see what this doc's insurers say.

I don't see how anyone could complain about the judge's approach or behaviour. He's being very measured and compassionate.

Placemarking..just got online again, catching up...so GOSH staff are willing to support home?? or hospice? What absolute Saints they are...amazing after the flak they have faced.

Won't they need to get the doctors credentials checked and confirmed in writing ? Surely they won't just phone up HR dept of previous employers and get the dates he worked there ok'd.

I do not envy this judge. He surely must have to put an end point on this now?

Plus hospices are very valuable resources.

Some people pass on in hospital/home simply because no hospice place available.

Would the hospice be able to hold a place for a week or more ?

(As we all know they will be back in court with another delaying tactic if they can...poor parents)

I have a legal procedure question if anyone could answer please?

When a case runs over unexpectedly or ends up back in court suddenly, if one of the barristers is already committed elsewhere, do they have someone to stand in for them or is the case only scheduled when they can be sure that everyone is available?

So, just to check, it looks like they (C&C) are wanting Charlie to go to a hospice now?

From the tweets it looks like imo they're still pushing for at home. The judge corrected them and said 'hospice, not home'

But I assume this doctor is coming to say he can manage it at home.

Fairnotfair yes, the Judge is so compassionate/patient in this case.
