Ok guys, we have been very lucky to discuss this, please lets not give anyone anything to complain about, Mhq have been more than accomodating.

Oh God, my heart is really breaking for her. No matter whether or not we think she has been misguided, a mother has just been told (apparently) the time and place of her child's death. I cannot imagine.

Laiste · 26/07/2017 17:23

yam - I'm wondering if by being so accommodating he might have not made matter worse for the parents.

I agree tbh. But what choice did he have? Going in heavy handed at the start would have been pretty unthinkable. It's catch 22.

Yamayo · 26/07/2017 17:24

I feel it really was the only decision. For Charlie's sake, anyway.

There was never going to be a good decision for his parents.

be moved to a hospice which will remain anonymous at an unknown time where he will be swapped to palliative care within a few hours.

Judge says it will be inevitable that Connie Yates is deeply upset by what has happened here. He's making his declaration for Charlie to

SantasLittleMonkeyButler · 26/07/2017 17:24

Will they be back in Court tomorrow at 12?

Or is the Judge saying that 12 tomorrow is the cut off for applying to go back to Court?

smilingmind · 26/07/2017 17:24

muckypup that is so very, very sad.

IdentifiesAsYoda · 26/07/2017 17:24

Maybe this wave just needed to break for her to start on the road to acceptance. I don't know. I really hope so. I really hope she can accept

ChocolatePHD · 26/07/2017 17:24

Appalled at CY shouting those things at the judge. I know she is upset but that's not acceptable conduct. He will no doubt be haunted by this case forever. She is forever looking for someone to blame and hate Instead of facing the fact that this is just a shit shit situation.

Laiste · 26/07/2017 17:24

I will be very surprised if the name of the hospice is kept secret.

Ceto · 26/07/2017 17:24

CGF:
Just back in court now. Sobbing. A heartbreaking moment. Says "I don't want to be in the same room as him." Leaves, accompanied by family.

Judge asks Armstrong if Connie content for hearing to continue in her absence.

If no C&C, GOSH, & guardian agreement by noon tomorrow, then C will be transferred to hospice and extubated shortly thereafter.

Judge not against home, and understands that parents want hospice over GOSH, and that many/most parents would.

Judge forbids anyone from publishing where (which hospice), when Charlie will be transported. Would hold in contempt of court.

Judge knows that no consensus on whether Charlie can feel pain, experience pleasure.

Judge judged in Apr that more likely than not that Charlie can experience pain. Judgment has to be made.

Judge: Connie understandably extremely upset. Support of family.

IdentifiesAsYoda · 26/07/2017 17:25

Poor Judge

totallyliterally · 26/07/2017 17:25

My understanding is that unless they come up with a team to facilitate Charlie for a week at a hospice then at 12 tomorrow it will be arranged for him to be moved.

JaneEyre70 · 26/07/2017 17:25

I would imagine thats allowing a few days for the transfer to be arranged, staff made available and the hospice to have a bed.

Yamayo · 26/07/2017 17:25

I agree Laiste. That's why I feel sorry for the judge too.
C & C wanted a healthy baby boy... no-one could give that to them.

ChocolatePHD · 26/07/2017 17:25

Upset was bad choice of word. She is devastated obviously.

Sirzy · 26/07/2017 17:25

That seems fair enough. I doubt any agreement will be reached but it gives them time to do so.

DorotheaBeale · 26/07/2017 17:26

It's best for Charlie that this is brought to an end, but I really think it's best for CY too. I really hope she stays off social media now until it's all over.

MumIsRunningAMarathon · 26/07/2017 17:26

So not got a week with him?

Just another day?

TinselTwins · 26/07/2017 17:26

How on earth will they keep the name of the hospice private. Won't the press follow them ? Or would they be breaking the law ?

Well going by other gagging orders, they can still follow them Sad , they just can't blatently publish details IYWKIM

HysterectomyHysteria · 26/07/2017 17:27

Does this mean that Charlie will be moved tomorrow?

Saucery · 26/07/2017 17:27

He' s done the best he could for them all.

BlondieJ · 26/07/2017 17:27

I would imagine that JF wanted the decision to be made by GOSH and agreed by parents, but that was never going to happen.
As broad as his shoulders no doubt are, I imagine that this is a horrible burden to bare and Connies words will stay with him, which is completely unfair as he has been more than accommodating and a lot more patient than some other judges would have been!

The hospice will remain anonymous and it will happen at an unknown time.

I feel so sorry for them. It's going to take years for them to come to terms with all this, if at all. I don't mean Charlie's illness and death, I mean everything surrounding it.

BubblesBuddy · 26/07/2017 17:27

Judge is asking that parents and GOSH agree removal to Hospice. Date and time and name of hospice to be kept confidential. Breaking that ruling is illegal - SO DON'T DO IT FOLKS!
