Ok guys, we have been very lucky to discuss this, please lets not give anyone anything to complain about, Mhq have been more than accomodating.

The court has now been locked. Connie and her mother are inside. Wider family, press, public, legal teams all outside waiting.

BubblesBuddy · 26/07/2017 17:15

I think it is unfair to say any High Court judge is inexperienced. He does know what he is doing. I guess her Mum came during the delays in court.

Oh dear. Whatever has been going on, poor woman.

oakleaffy · 26/07/2017 17:15

Maryz point taken...we all, for different reasons, are following this closely, and Charlie's needs are naturally paramount..biting tongues is so hard, but after yesterday's entire thread deletion, we don't want to have the same thing happen.

TinselTwins · 26/07/2017 17:15

I can't agree with that. That question is essentially asking if Armstrong and the pro bono
legal team have intentionally misled the court. That is a really serious allegation

I didn't mean it like that
I meant it like they knew he was a shit witness but a shit witness was better than no witness, but they hoped that a better witness would be russled up in the mean time IYKWIM? but I'll ask for my posts to be deleted anyway

SomeDyke · 26/07/2017 17:15

I think the judge has done quite well, in that as far as I can see, he has managed to get gradually more agreement as things have proceeded, and I feel that he is possibly sticking to the 'end of week' timeline that GOSH had an end of life plan for and agreement from a hospice, according to if not standard procedure, but a procedure that has been used before with experienced staff (I think someone said elsewhere that extubation at home or hospice isn't always offered or possible?). Whilst he has again and again given C&C a chance to present their options and new evidence, and he has let GOSH assess and answer each time as to why some things (like taking Charlie home) just are not possible.

Redglitter · 26/07/2017 17:16

The judge needs to step up make a bloody ruling today and put an end to this. Clearly Connie is NEVER going to agree with anything that is any less than what she wants. The judge needs to make a decision to not only end Charlies suffering but before his parents have breakdowns.

totallyliterally · 26/07/2017 17:16

I suspect the judge has now ruled.

And nothing further will be in the media.

So so sorry bluesky Flowers

GinSoakedTwitchyPony · 26/07/2017 17:17

In complete agreement about the decamp, MissHavisham

Devonishome1 · 26/07/2017 17:17

Miss having- thank you!

blueskyinmarch · 26/07/2017 17:17

I think there will be a carefully controlled statement made for the media then they will be asked to give the family space as they get through their last days with Charlie.

BabsGanoush · 26/07/2017 17:17

Connie breaking down and shouting at judge

Sound like discussions are been made in Charlies best interests then.

SantasLittleMonkeyButler · 26/07/2017 17:18

I am beginning to wonder, and I say this kindly and with compassion, if Connie is becoming mentally unwell by all of the stress and grief and is genuinely not able to see what is right for Charlie. I am so worried about how she is going to react once he has gone. She is so not going to cope

I've thought the same for a while TBH. Having suffered from mental health problems myself, I can completely understand how this would happen. In which case, the "fight" does need to be ended for them & then, hopefully, family can be there to give Connie & Chris the support they need.

I do have, and always have had, extreme sympathy for C&C and everyone concerned. I just don't agree with the way Charlie's treatment is being prolonged consistently when it has been proven he can feel pain Sad.

We've all just been allowed back in court, an incredibly distressed Connie Yates is shouting "what if it was your child". Connie now going.

JaneEyre70 · 26/07/2017 17:18

We have to hope that now Charlie will get a peaceful dignified and kind end, looked after by the best people available. And with his parents at his side. This is going to break them I feel Sad

Says she can't be in the same room as the judge, leaves saying "I hope you're happy with yourself". Judge about to return now.

Oh Bluesky, that is so unspeakably awful..bless you and your dear Daughter :(

totallyliterally · 26/07/2017 17:19

Judge coming back in. Connie has left shouting at the judge.

This is so awful for her. She obviously hadn't accepted at all what was about to happen. :(
