Ok guys, we have been very lucky to discuss this, please lets not give anyone anything to complain about, Mhq have been more than accomodating.

Judge: I suggested that yesterday. Armstrong: it has become more emotional as she is on her own here.

Butterymuffin, yep more delays, stalling for time.

TinselTwins · 26/07/2017 16:28

I'm losing all hope of the child's needs being prioritised

I'm feeling like JF is so busy "future proofing" his rulings that Charlie is getting lost here
I feel like he could make a shorter term decision to let charlie go in a peaceful timely matter and deal with fall-out later, but instead he seems to be allowing more delay tactics than he should just so that they can be rebuffed now rather than during any cases that the family bring after Charlie's death

Which is both unfair on Charlie, and futile, because I think there will be more to come anyway after Charlie's death as C&C are trapped in "fight" mode, so none of his attempts to pre-empt any of that'll work anyway

@Sirzy, I was just about to say this. Is the fact that Connie is there alone meaning Chris is supportive of him passing in GOSH?

BeyondDrinksAndKnowsThings · 26/07/2017 16:28

"Connie Yates 'not a quitter'"

Understatement of the century.

Connie wants more time. They want transport to a hospice with an appropriate team.

TheFairyCaravan · 26/07/2017 16:28

CY wants more time and the next hearing to be in a closed court.

muckypup73 · 26/07/2017 16:29

mikado1, sad but true.

Redglitter · 26/07/2017 16:29

Connie Yates still wants to work to sort arrangements and is asking for more time for this..

What a surprise! Couldn't have seen that coming...

Incitatis · 26/07/2017 16:29

The Judge also relies on the law and the fact that the needs of the child come first. That is enshrined in family law.

But this clearly isn't happening. How does leaving GOSH benefit Charlie? He absolutely needs to remain there until LS is withdrawn.

Judge: this indecision is compounding the parents’ misery. Armstrong: she needs more time to find an intensivist if one needed for few days.

OP posts:
Sirzy · 26/07/2017 16:29

Please don't give any more time. The time has passed for that now and a ruling needs to be made and followed.

AcrossthePond55 · 26/07/2017 16:29

Apparently now Connie wants this all dealt with privately?

Armstrong: Connie Yates wants to press on. Can she have more time? She now feels discussions should be conducted in private.

Judge Justice Francis says this indecision is compounding the parents' misery and feels it's the time for a decision to be taken.

Laiste · 26/07/2017 16:29

Time to stop this 'fighting' now Connie Flowers :(

The new expert is not going to speak in court then?

MirandaWest · 26/07/2017 16:30

I have been out again and returned and still nothing it would appear.

Nan0second · 26/07/2017 16:30

This is awful.

Sostenueto · 26/07/2017 16:30

Why is today more emotional than yesterday? Why isn't cg there anyway? Why why why.....

GinSoakedTwitchyPony · 26/07/2017 16:30

Judge: this indecision is compounding the parents’ misery.

This 100 times, this.
And not least poor Charlie too.

Ceto · 26/07/2017 16:30

Is the fact that Connie is there alone meaning Chris is supportive of him passing in GOSH?

I very much doubt it. If they now differed on this he would need to be separately represented and/or Armstrong would have a duty to say he was only acting for CY.

Incitatis · 26/07/2017 16:30

Knowing when to quit is an essential part of life.

Golondrina · 26/07/2017 16:30

This is so sad. They need to just let the poor little boy go, quickly and quietly at GOSH. If they take him to a hospice or home they'll start fighting over not switching off the ventilator. They need to accept that the time has come.

Redglitter · 26/07/2017 16:30

January possibly he has his priorities right and feels coming is wasting valuable time with Charlie

cjt110 · 26/07/2017 16:30

Armstrong: I seek 48 hours. Judge: I have been hoping for a consensus.
