It was Hamas and Hezbollah he called his friends. Thinks Hamas is a peace loving organization, only out for political justice. Bless their little cotton socks

FFS, will you listen to yourself?! Do you think JC (who is committed to PEACE) sees Hamas and Hezbollah as his friends? Really?!

I think you have misunderstood the point of diplomacy. It's not about speaking to people who you agree with. It's about speaking to
whomever you need to, to bring about a diplomatic solution.

Are these ridiculous slurs the best you have?

jamie2 · 24/06/2017 21:44

Scandelicious I agree. He reminds me too much of Kinnock and look what happened to him

ShoesHaveSouls · 24/06/2017 21:44

Captain, I agree, the right is seriously rattled. They are running around like headless chickens, bitterly insulting him, whilst he, you know, just goes out and engages with people.

Can't see Michael Eavis putting an arm around Theresa May Grin

utterchaos · 24/06/2017 21:48

It's interesting that no one is rebuffing the content of his speech, just more personal attacks which was shown to be a failing strategy in the election campaign.

Yes, isn't it. It's quite funny really. This approach has worked for them for years, but now it seems it's waering thin. The people can see the emperor has no clothes - and they don't know what to do!

utterchaos · 24/06/2017 21:48

*wearing!

The Rt Hon. Lord Kinnock, you mean?

You're the creep, OP. And possibly also a weirdo. What the he'll are you doing here? You don't belong here.

Elledouble · 24/06/2017 22:02

bigsighall yeh, cos the Conservative party would just have faded into obscurity if it had gone the other way, wouldn't it?

PortiaCastis · 24/06/2017 22:06

The politics of destruction do not work JC has proved that by becoming more popular.

JustAnotherPoster00 · 24/06/2017 22:19

Can someone explain to me why people are angry at Corbyn for brexit this is something I see brought out quite often but with no explanation so always confuses me, would someone mind explaining to me what he didnt do

OhYouBadBadKitten · 24/06/2017 22:27

He was really weak on Brexit, didn't really come out strongly on either side properly when us remainers wanted him to lead strongly on staying in. It's my one issue with him and it's a big issue. However, on so much else, what he says reflects my values.

Frankiestein401 · 24/06/2017 22:28

Kinnock was slaughtered by Murdoch, Dacre et al. What we are seeing now is the fading of their power - not before time - the sun won't 'win' another election.

CloudPerson · 24/06/2017 22:28

I think it was felt that he ran a mediocre remain campaign, because he was a leaver at heart.
I'm not wholly convinced this wasn't more media blackout though, as a friend went to see him speak on the campaign trail and felt he was excellent.
Few of his visits were filmed though, the focus was more on Farage and Johnson who ran a campaign based on lies, and Cameron who ran a campaign based on slagging off the other side.
Trying to blame Corbyn for a crappy campaign that could have been better organised by my 6 yr old is passing the buck.

pilates · 24/06/2017 22:29

"You're the creep, OP. And possibly also a weirdo. What the he'll are you doing here? You don't belong here"

That is hilarious 😂

nancy75 · 24/06/2017 22:33

I don't mind Jezza but come on some of you! Half the crowd at Glastonbury is well over 40 ( not just the youth) & even Craig David got a massive crowd!

user1471545174 · 24/06/2017 22:34

He wouldn't endorse the official Remain stance because it would have meant platform-sharing with Tories which he of course is far too special to do, even in the national interest.

So now we have Brexit which will cost us all a fortune and not achieve what the Leavers actually wanted. In the meantime, JC has rebranded himself as a Jesus/Father Christmas character who can give us all everything we've ever wanted, despite Brexit, the deficit and all that tedious money stuff. He is delivering a positive message and that's all that matters. Hmm

Sittinginthesun · 24/06/2017 22:40

Agree about the media coverage. It's going to be interesting to see how this changes politics in general over the next few years.

My 13 year old is unlikely to ever buy a newspaper, and never watches the TV news. He is, however, very politically minded, reads endless articles and news stories online, from lots of sources.

I can't imagine his generation being dictated to by a single newspaper.

And these kids actually read the party manifestos online, not just the sound bites the media pick up. I think it's fantastic, and Corbyn has picked up on this spirit.

CloudPerson · 24/06/2017 22:41

IIRC in the brexit vote labour voted 63% remain. Perhaps his campaign wasn't as poor as we were led to believe.

silkybear · 24/06/2017 22:41

When all else fails, blame Corbyn entirely for brexit Grin

GhostofFrankGrimes · 24/06/2017 22:43

Let's not rewrite history. The Tories have been battling the Eurosceptics in their party for a quarter of a century. The Tories called the referendum, most of the tory supporting press supported Brexit. The referendum was held at the same time Corbyn was being vilified. The tide has now turned. The Tories are a mess, Brexit is turning into an expensive disaster, Corbyn is on the rise.

GhostofFrankGrimes · 24/06/2017 22:44

Blaming Corbyn for Brexit is pathetic and cowardly. Tories, own your shit!

PortiaCastis · 24/06/2017 22:46

Blame Corbyn for everything and when everything has run out insult him with no documented evidence

silkybear · 24/06/2017 22:49

It must suck to be right wing and have to keep defending Mays catalogue of fuck ups and watch her scurry into bullet proof cars getting heckled, while JC gets his name chanted back to him on the Glasto Pyramid Stage Wink

whitehandledkitchenknife · 24/06/2017 22:53

He's not the Messiah...........

Yet.
