Josie Long - we are more at risk from right wing extremists than Islamic extremists

A friend just posted a link to Josie's rant on her Facebook page. I honestly felt sick watching it. For a start, in terms of numbers of deaths, we are looking at 2 deaths (Jo Cox and man at Finsbury Park mosque) (please correct me if I am wrong) compared to multiple deaths in Manchester and London Bridge, not to mention the attacks in Paris, Nice and Brussels. Firstly, how is this the time to be comparing which is worse, and secondly, if we must compare then Islamic extremists pose a far greater risk in terms of loss of life. Am I missing something? Or has the world gone mad.

They're not ignoring their religion, they're following it to the full conclusion. Are you having a laugh? A radical muslim is the fault of the EDL?

If your talking about isis then no theyre not following in islam in full we are not allowed to innocents, not allowed to commit suicide, not allowed to declare war on those who are not at war agaisnt us and not to impose islam forcefully. Also Im not making a case as you put it, cases are made by guilty people and I have done nothing wrong. EDL arent causing radical muslims, but they are making it harder for the majority of us to live peacefully.

Islam prohibits unlawful killings such as a woman, a minor, prisoner of war, innocents (ie not those engaged in battle) and of course suicide is not allowed. Muslims are not allowed to enforce islam on others but can only bring them to islam with kind speech and wisdom. ISIS breech every condition set out in quran but people will still say islam is the problem.

And how big of Muslims that they're not allowed to enforce it on others I'm sure we're dripping in gratiude.. ISIS is not every Muslim, just as sex abusing priests are not every Cotholic, but Muslims do go against the modern mores of Gay Rights and Sexual Freedom for women. Speak up!

Everything you keep posting refers to in battle - not walking into a concert and killing innocent kids or blowing up families at an ice cream parlour. LĢBT rights have come a long way but it wasnt all that long ago that it was illegal for a same sex couple to be married in this country so whos fault was that for all them years? As for homosexuality laws, of course, they were ours, because we were the first countries in the west to actually make laws, good and bad.
