Josie Long - we are more at risk from right wing extremists than Islamic extremists

Goodluckjonathan76 · 23/06/2017 12:51

A friend just posted a link to Josie's rant on her Facebook page. I honestly felt sick watching it. For a start, in terms of numbers of deaths, we are looking at 2 deaths (Jo Cox and man at Finsbury Park mosque) (please correct me if I am wrong) compared to multiple deaths in Manchester and London Bridge, not to mention the attacks in Paris, Nice and Brussels. Firstly, how is this the time to be comparing which is worse, and secondly, if we must compare then Islamic extremists pose a far greater risk in terms of loss of life. Am I missing something? Or has the world gone mad.

Well, not unless I want to go into their place of worship. But I don t think I have ever been expected to. - I've been stared at and made to feel very uncomfortable walking around in a summer dress in an area close to where I live that is 90% Muslim.

Pannnn · 25/06/2017 20:54

90% Muslim. So you live close to Jeddah, or Islamabad. Or Mecca.

Where in the UK is 90% population Muslim? Really?

And even if there is such a place, pretty much any UK Muslim person wouldn't be batting an eyelid at a woman in a 'summer dress'. It sounds like a fantasits's statement and the sort of nonsense perpetuated on the thread and reveals you to be who you are.

Namechange2837 · 25/06/2017 21:01

Pann - obviously I'm not going to say where exactly it is. But yes - it's an area in a part of a city suburb that is predominantly Muslim. Is that so hard to believe?!
And dismissing my experience because it doesn't fit with yours, does not make it less true

WavingBranches · 25/06/2017 21:01

I miss Dave Allen.

Namechange2837 · 25/06/2017 21:06

Okay, just researched and the area is 67.9% Muslim, so apologies for saying 90%, but still a huge amount. And yes - the staring is real.

MissBax · 25/06/2017 21:10

Usually avoid these kind of posts, but just wanted to say I live close to a highly dense Muslim community (would hazard a guess at about 60-70%) and myself and friends have been stared at walking through it in low cut tops and short skirts - I'm not paranoid. Are you going to say my experience isn't true either Pann?

CrossWordSalad · 25/06/2017 21:19

You might want to look at the data in this link before you start accusing pp of talking nonsense. I believe the demographic data is from 2011, so quite out of date. A number of wards with Muslim populations above 70% are listed. It's really not that hard to believe that within parts of a ward, the % would be higher, is it?

My post was to Pann.

Please watch this video where a black man (and it is relevant that he is black) discusses the march with a counter-protestor. I don't know what is meant to be relevant by him being black. There is lots of black people about who have forgotten where they have been as people. I don't have time for people like him and there is lots of them about. Reality only hits them when one day it hits them on the face. Yes there was that ukip black man who was in big brother. They would be cut from the same cloth.

Anyone who starts to criticise the political correctness loses points in my book. It's got people like me to where we are now. The only people who complain are those who have been affected by it because they feel their rights are being taken to accommodate people like me. So, I don't have time for them.
1- a woman
2-non white
For others
3- sexual presence

CrossWordSalad · 25/06/2017 22:22

He probably wouldn't have much time for you either quencher

The relevance of him being black is that 1) it seems unlikely that everyone on the march were EDL types given that he and others were not white and 2) the comments the white Antifa or whoever woman makes to him about race are, in my view anyway, shocking.

becausebecausebecause · 25/06/2017 23:44

Thoughts on the utter suicidal attitude of the lady in my video, please?

becausebecausebecause · 26/06/2017 00:24

" All of us, even our children, are not afraid of dying" We all sacrafice ourselves for Jerusalem" If her son dies, what can she do? Allah gives the gift of forgetfullness.

EastMidsMumOf1 · 26/06/2017 00:37

Unless you are BME then of course you aren't going to fear right wing extremistsHmm

EastMidsMumOf1 · 26/06/2017 00:58

Namechange - Im a muslim but not a migrant? Im white British. More than half of the migrants in this country are European and dont need to know a word of English to establish themselves here. 72% of my dds school doesnt speak English or knows very little so the lessons are taught in English, Polish and Slovakian languages yet if you come from a non EU country you have to pass a life in the UK test, ESOL courses and even then it takes around 10 years to get Leave to remain. As for women filing for divorce, we can its called Kullah for the men its called Talaq. Arranged marriages are more of a cultural practice and forced marriage is prohibited completely in islam so thats something that their own communities need to address. I have no qualms in giving people an insight to what islam is really about, if anyone does have any questions ask me and I will answer the best I can.

www.meforum.org/2538/taqiyya-islam-rules-of-war

I find that shocking that 72% of your dds school doesn;t speak English. God help us

becausebecausebecause · 26/06/2017 01:44

I would like to know, as a white Muslim, what you think of Taqiya? And if you agree with the muslim/islamic edict that homosexuality is wrong? Thanks.

EastMidsMumOf1 · 26/06/2017 01:54

Im really glad you posted that link because in laymans terms if muslims are in fear of their life they are able to decieve the enemy in order to stay alive but if we are not in fear then we shall live in peace amongst and not force islam onto anyone.
Yes 72% is alot, I am basing it on the ofsted reports so whether they can speak no English at all or just very little Im unsure of, dd is to start in september so wish me luckGrin

becausebecausebecause · 26/06/2017 01:58

Thanks for your respone EastMidsMum. What do you reckon to Taquia and homosexuality?

EastMidsMumOf1 · 26/06/2017 02:01

For homosexuality as in all the books of God (Bible, Torah and Quran) its not accepted. Humans are supposed to procreate, homosexuality prevents this therefore becomes a sin but if someone is LGBT then thats between them and God, no one else.

EastMidsMumOf1 · 26/06/2017 02:04

Regarding taqqiya if you had a teenager for example who was being robbed at knifepoint you would expect them to hand over their valuables to prevent further harm, same way if we were to be attacked we would deny islam to stay alive.

www.charismanews.com/opinion/57285-why-don-t-liberals-talk-about-islam-s-brutal-treatment-of-homosexuals
Any nonheterosexual who "comes out" to their family or community in a Western country, such as the U.K., is arranged to marry someone of the opposite sex against their will. The British government actually has a "Forced Marriage Unit" (FMU) to investigate reports of young homosexual men and lesbian women who express fear that they will be forced into marriages by their families against their will.

One young girl described her experience of being a lesbian in an Islamic family to the BBC News. She explained: "I tried to introduce it to them, because I knew it was a thing you don't talk about. It's forbidden. But once you mention 'homosexual,' the discussion is over. You can't go into detail about it." Her parents, not native to the U.K., rejected anything she said, scheduled weekly meetings with eligible bachelors, and eventually resorted to violence to make their teenage daughter comply.

And the band said believe it if they liked...

becausebecausebecause · 26/06/2017 02:21

And the band said comment was to your utterly pathetic justifaction for taqiya by the way. If you think we swallow that nonsense, you really are deluded.

EastMidsMumOf1 · 26/06/2017 02:22

But personally I would never dictate to someone how they should feel, gay, straight, muslim, non muslim, white, black, pink or purple, I dont care if a woman sat next to me on a bus is wearing short skirt, I dont care if a man on the street is drinking a beer and honestly a huge majority of muslims in this country dont care either. What does concern me though is the growing hatred towards muslims, the more vunerable a person becomes the easier they are to be radicalized as they will feel under threat and isolated, isis adopt these people and manipulate their already skewed minds.

EastMidsMumOf1 · 26/06/2017 02:27

You asked me a question and I answered it, but you would still rather believe google. What you seek is what youl find I guess.

becausebecausebecause · 26/06/2017 02:34

" I know they don't because they're either living it large and ignoring their religion of peace or involved in Rochdale. You really are not making a case. As for growing hatred, hmm, perhaps look closer to home.
