I'm really not sure where I stand. A lot of it just sems like school girl horridness

OP posts:
tinkerbellie · 18/01/2007 11:33

it was about shilpa wanting a chicken stock cude and jade having used it (and three or four others)

shilpa said that they didn't need to use that many and should have only used one

jade said that it would be bland blah blah blah

then shilpa said it was wasteful and that it was the only thing that she had ordered on the shopping

jade then brought up the chicken again and was going on about it having to be thrown away cos it was undercooked

shilpa took offence to this and said that it hadn't been eaten because there was a lot of rice

jade then called shilpa a lier and made a big thing about her being fake

shilpa then said that this was jades big claim to fame and welldone

and jade just started shouting and swearing at her calling her a lier and a phoney

etc

alot over a stock cube

nulnulcat · 18/01/2007 11:34

and there is one school that most parents would rather their children went to that is full of teenagers just like her and of all different races there are rough chav asians too

Blu · 18/01/2007 11:36

It escalated out of a row about stock cube use.
it seems Jade and coven had used 4 stock cubes to cook some pasta (!?)...and then Shilpa discovered that there were none left to make dinner, and asked them where the stock cubes were.
She was a bit precious about it. And amongst the discussion said that stock cubes where the only thing she had asked for in the shoping list.
This sent Jade into a cataclysmic rage - Oxogate - in which she was outraged that Shilpa was lying because she had asked for other things too. She said something like 'her head is so far up her own arse she can taste her own shit'. And accused her of being a princess and stuck up. And, interestingly, alluded to the fact that Shilpa should think carefully about telling people they need elocution lessons because maybe most of her fans are people like Jade....Then Shilpa lashed back - just once - to say that 'this' i.e BB - is Jade's whole life...ie. she is ONLY famous for BB, not for work. This sent Jade even more apoplectic.

I think the glimpse into Jade's class consciousness of it is what makes me feel sorry that she will be trashed and destroyed by BB...of course the whole sleb thing is mad...it's shameful that this country idolises 'stars' who are on tv making a fool of themselves, but as Jade has benefitted, I think the destruction will be very very cruel too.

Caligula · 18/01/2007 11:37

Also Jade shouted something along the lines of "You might be a princess in never-land but you're not here".

Shilpa looked bewildered and said "when did I say I was a princess?" and later said to Danielle, "I don't say I'm a princess, I cook for you, I do most of the cooking here..." she was obviously bewildered by that particular remark.

The princess comment was very telling, because it's all about Jade's own insecurity.

Caligula · 18/01/2007 11:39

Sorry post crossed with blu's.

Did Shilpa say elocution lessons or etiquette lessons? I've just remembered she did say Jade needed to learn some manners.

Her disdain for Jade is so funny as it sends Jade into even more paroxysms of uncontrolled fury.

tinkerbellie · 18/01/2007 11:42

she said eloqution (that will be misspelt)

danielle also said afterwards that why is she saying you need lessons she can't speak proper english anyway

Blu · 18/01/2007 11:43

And given that Shilpa is speaking in ONE of her second languages....

ruty · 18/01/2007 11:43

ooh thanks - sounds toe curling - lol at 'Oxogate'. Yes, i understand what you mean Caligula.

tinkerbellie · 18/01/2007 11:44

at least in a way jade is taking the risk by saying all of this loudly and to her face, jo and danielle are snaking around in the background whispering to each other and to cleo prob thinking that this won;t be shown.

they are more than happy to let jade have a go and egg her on and congratulate her on her performance but wonlt actually say anything shilpa's face themselves

cowards as well as sheep

expatinscotland · 18/01/2007 11:44

Jade's got all these people working for her. She even has a TV series about choosing a PA, and she's accusing Shilpa of being a princess?

Puh-leeze.

She's an insecure, black-hearted, malicious, vindictive, ugly throught and through, ignorant, bullying racist.

ruty · 18/01/2007 11:45

Danielle sounds like the worst kind of woman possible.

bundle · 18/01/2007 11:45
tinkerbellie · 18/01/2007 11:46

i thought that they called her princess in the beginning becuase she is pretty and has servants not to be mean

what ever it was at the start it's now turned into something nasty

expatinscotland · 18/01/2007 11:46

Oh, yes, Danielle speaks excellent English.

I can't understand her half the time.

I can understand Shilpa better.

hatwoman · 18/01/2007 11:47

Blu - i think you are very right. the bizarre cult of celebrity that created Jade will be at its cruellest in knocking her down. The whole thing - meaning the Jade thing - is a bizarre and sad story. re the racism thing I think the writer (I forget his name - but do so coz I'm a fuckwit who forgets everyones names, not because I'm a racist....) was very eloquent. he said that the ignorant comments on bb were something that everyone from ethnic communities in the UK experiences and as such he thought BB was actually showing that.

Did anyone else think the lack of reaction to the conversation on virginity is a particularly sad reflection on certain aspects of modern culture? I think that incident was actually one of the worst - incredibly disrespectful and nasty and deliberately so. But we are somehow imbued to it. and I've not seen it mentioned in any of the analysis.

JoolsToo · 18/01/2007 11:48

I'm getting confused with all these BB threads!!!

From Digital Spy
3 New Housemates Named.

----------------

If the sun is to be believed:

Paparazzi boss Darryn Lyons
Mark Bosnich
and another to be named (lauren ???)

&

its a three way eviction

Jade Vs Shilpa vs Dirk.

hatwoman · 18/01/2007 11:49

arse, that was ment to say the writer on Newsnight

Caligula · 18/01/2007 11:49

I think her princess comment was more about Shilpa having grace and poise, tbh. Jade is like some tragic Caliban-figure or Frankenstein's monster isn't she - she can recognise grace when she sees it, but can't achieve it herself, so can only scream in fury when confronted with it in someone else.

Very disturbing. But mesmerising at the same time.

tinkerbellie · 18/01/2007 11:50

i i don't know the question itself wasn't too bad , but when shilpa obviousley indicated that she didn't want to discuss it, jade shouldn't have kept on at her

ruty · 18/01/2007 11:50

i have to say Shilpa exudes beauty and sexual attractiveness, as well as having a beautiful, if a bit posh, accent. I do wonder if the three are aware of the fact they look like guy fawkes dummies standing next to her.

Caligula · 18/01/2007 11:51

I didn't see the virginity thing - what was that about? (Only watched it when this row blew up)

ruty · 18/01/2007 11:51

well you said it much better than me Caligula!

Mercy · 18/01/2007 11:52

Hatwoman, what was the converstion re virginity?

tinkerbellie · 18/01/2007 11:58

jade asked shilpa (when they were discussing a man who broke her heart) if he was her first , shilpa shook her head looked a little embarrassed and said lets not find that answer out todat (or something like that) jade then said can you say how you was when you first had sex, and shilpa said no (i think) and then said she didn;t like to use the word sex she preferred making love, jade said that she was 16 and jo 17 and then jo said i call it a good pounding

Earlybird · 18/01/2007 11:58

I think they should send Pete Burns back in tonight to face up to Jade!

I think this conflict is as much about class as it is about race.
