joolstoo i dontlike her either ,i did when she first went in but the way she sat there while shilpa was being shouted at by jade and did nothing i changed my mind. i dont understand the way that no-one intervened and stood up to the bitches of eastwick

JoolsToo · 19/01/2007 16:42

the Daily Mail's take if you can bear to read it

crumbs · 19/01/2007 16:44

This off Digital SPy:

Hertfordshire Police may enter the Big Brother house before tonight's eviction, London's Evening Standard newspaper has reported.

An unnamed "police source" is cited by the newspaper as saying: "It has become a serious investigation and we have received a wave of complaints. Officers want to speak to Shilpa, and the desire of Channel 4 to keep outside interference away from the house is not an issue."

The constabulary has been inundated with calls regarding alleged racism in the Big Brother house and have requested that viewers email them instead of calling 999 regarding the matter.

I'm very curious about what could have transpired in the diary room that caused Jade to spend an hour there, come out red-eyed (presumably after crying), and apoligise to Shilpa.

I stand by my belief that Big Brother said something quite serious to her to cause that reaction. I doubt Jade would have suddenly had a spontaneous feeling of remorse...

Earlybird · 19/01/2007 16:45

apologise

expatinscotland · 19/01/2007 16:46

Jade espouses one set of 'values' if you will.

And Shilpa another.

As a human being, a woman AND a mother, I know which set I prefer.

JoolsToo · 19/01/2007 16:47

also from DSpy - you've got to laugh

"Jade: "I can't be racist, cause I've slept with lots of ethics"

----------------

Did anyone see on the live feed this morning, Jade said to Shilpa that she's not racist because she's had sex with lots of 'ethics' Shilpa asked if she meant 'ethnics', Jade said yes, 'I'll sleep with anyone'

Classy."

a poster then replied

"well, she is an Ethics girl - it's a place sarth of east angular, innit?"

JoolsToo · 19/01/2007 16:49

earlybird - I think they've told her to think how she may be regarded outside - quite how much they divulged is anybody's guess. It seem seem to provoke the apology though.

Edam · 19/01/2007 16:49

Saw the Sun cover very briefly as I was passing a newsagent. If nothing else, it's surely encouraging that the best selling paper is anti-Jade and her appalling little gang?

Earlybird · 19/01/2007 16:52

edam - I saw the Sun online. Agree about the stance they've taken. What is discouraging however is the tone/content of many of the reader comments posted online defending/justifying Jade's behaviour. Some even blame Shilpa....

mummylin2495 · 19/01/2007 16:52

that is a great piece of writing and every word of it was true i have even added my own comments to it.! i didnt know her mum wa a theif

drosophila · 19/01/2007 16:53

I have been thinking about this today. It seems to me that the real issue is one of class and difference. She hated Shilpa because she perceived her as being a higher class than her and that Shilpa looked down on her. The other two women did the same. They then used her racial difference as another tool to criticize her but what I think they really hate is her higher social status not her colour although in for a penny....

Jade is very very insecure I think. I also think Jo said the most racist thing I have heard in the house - the comment about Indian people being skinny cos they don't know how to cook and are always sick or words to that effect.

Blu · 19/01/2007 16:54

People have been calling 999?

Oh blimey...

dinny · 19/01/2007 16:54

apparently Davina, Russell Brand, Dermot and Jade share an agent. suddenly makes sense as to why they are all soooooo reluctant to criticise her.

I heard there isn't going to be a crowd at tonight's eviction. true, anyone know?

drosophila · 19/01/2007 16:55

I hate the term ethnics. We are all from one ethnic group. Minority ethnic group can mean something.

Isn't Jade mixed race? I think her father is black. Had I been her I think I might have used that rather than her ability to shag anyone.

mummylin2495 · 19/01/2007 16:56

i would urge you all to go to joolsToo post at 16.42.24. and click on the link she has put there,it sums up what we think of jade.( well most of us anyway )

I hope that whoever goes tonight isn't persecuted by the press or the public. Everyone was getting on just fine today in the house, Jade even apologised to Shilpa. Jade was very wrong to behave the way she did and Shilpa also played her part in the drama. Hopefully Danielle will learn from this but I do feel Jo is a harder nut to crack. Channnel 4 must be rubbing their hands all the way to the bank, their ratings have escalated as the papers at the beginning of the week were talking about how no-one was interested in CBB this year. They were wrong to play the race card, the women in there were stupid to forget that they were on TV and that the media coverage will always be biased. I hope everyone calms down and that nobody gets hurt physically once they are out. I believe that whoever goes tonight will be stunned at the storm that has taken hold of the world!!

ShinyHappyPeopleHoldingHands · 19/01/2007 16:58

Has anyone posted that there will no live crowd tonight? Sorry if you alreasy know this.. not had time to come near this thread today..

Tutter · 19/01/2007 17:01

on rflection i think they're right to cancel the public eviction - they'd prob be breaching their 'duty of care' bit if theyt didn't

drosophila · 19/01/2007 17:01

I think she is a very damaged person and perhaps if I were a bigger person I may feel kinder towards her but it is hard ot be kind to a hateful person even if they are a victim themselves of an appalling upbringing.

compo · 19/01/2007 17:02

Wow, that Daily Mail article is savage!

drosophila · 19/01/2007 17:02

So no live crowd then?????

compo · 19/01/2007 17:04

definitely not - they feel she needs time to absorb the consequences of her actions before facing the media too so no news conference tonight
