Still not watched film but, from reading this thread, is it really being suggested that passengers were taken of those flights and taken elsewhere? Have I interpreted that correctly???

I find it quite easy to believe that the Pentagon plane may have been shot down. When watching it all as it happened, it felt like WW3 was breaking out so would almost expect the Pentagon plan to have been shot down, tbh.

Tinker, just the one plane - flight 93, they suggest that it landed at an airport (can't remember which)

So, the theory now is, the american government set explosive charges in the twin towers, flew 'fake' planes into them, flew unmanned planes into the pentagon and the failed 'lets roll' aircraft was also empty. The govenment made sure that 'Important' buisness people were cleared out of the twin towers. And they did this as an excuse to invade Iraq.

Given the ocean going fuck up they made of the latter, do you seriously think they could have orchestrated the former??? And in all of this no-one spilled the beans. You can't have a gnat fart in government without someone spilling the story to the press.

It was the mayor of New York wasn't it...who's actual hideout was in one of the towers...it had been his designated hideout for years.
Then just days before the towers were attacked...he had a new hideout built somewhere else...and the day before 9/11 he was relocated.
The government justified this as "coincidence"
So...just coincidently...the mayor was relocated from his long term hideout...the day before the attack

I really don't know what to believe but it does all smell a bit fishy to me.....

It is basically saying that there were controlled explosions in the twin towers. There were pilots and passengers on the planes (Flight 93 seems to be an accurate account other than it was shot down)

The Pentagon one did hit, but was shot by a missile hence why there was not (so) much damage and the tail blew off.

If you read the stuff about the surge in activity at the WTC just before (as in, on the morning of) 9/11 it does kind of make sense.

and a lot of meetings were rearranged. Also important people who were meant to fly that day had their flights rearranged. There was certainly prior knowledge of the attacks.

It also says as few as 12 people could have been involved in planning it all.

I don't buy the whole remote controled aircraft bit.
I find it much more believable that the government might of known ... or had warnings...then just made the whole thing far more massive and horrific...
Then they had more weight behind them to go to war...

also I find it a bit odd that terrorists could actually coordinate all this.... they have had suicide bombers blow themselves up...but not before 9/11 or since...has anything quite so horrendous taken place.

America going to war would surely of spurred even more elaborate attacks...and if the terrorists were capable of such a big attack on 9/11 then why have they not done anything else????
They can't be worried about America anymore...America have admitted themselves the war on Iraq has gone horribly wrong...They are no longer in control..and troops are being withdrawn.
Its 5 years on and with even more of a reason to attack...they haven't. (well on such a scale)

The CIA would have had intelligence that there was likely to be an attack - WTC had already been a target therefore feasible it would be one again. Therefore, moving of meetings/mayoral hideouts etc not unusual but does not suggest govt killing its own people, surely?

I think it makes more sense that they were aware of an attack and let it happen. They probably even made it worse than it could have been. I'm not sure about them actually gassing passengers/killing pilots but I would not put it past them to allow it to happen and perhaps even aid the terroists in making it an even bigger and 'better' attack than they would have been capable of alone.

So now we have passengers being gased, and no-one who did the gassing ever said anything? Please this is horrific. There has been at least one MNetter who'd dh was killed in the twin towers. to make up theories like this must just add horribly to the burden of grief.

How could they do it, they way they did it. They had already had one go at the twin towers. Did the UK government blow up the train and bus in London then? Please this is verging on the sick now.

yes, of course it's hurtful to the families but I think it does need to be talked about, especially if any of this does have any truth to it.

The London bombings were obviously different. These were men from Leeds with rucksacks of explosives on their backs. Although it caused destruction and devastation the level of sophistication and planning which went into it was clearly not on the same scale.

I had this arguement with my dh Tinker.....
He is convinced that it is all a conspiracy by the U.S government...
I said I couldn't believe Bush would go so far as to kill innocent American people just to start a war...

In the grand scale of things...The amount of people killed on 9/11 is nothing. (I can't remember the actual figure) If you are talking war...possibly a very big war... this was a small sacrifice if it meant America could go to war in Iraq with its peoples blessing and back up from other countries.

Proof, what Proof do you have they were gasses. This isn't discussing something that you can say happened, just that you (or someone) thinks it must have happened.

The belief is that the UK government wasnted to go to war so badly, they killed thousands of teir own citizens, and now you are saying they set up gas chambers to kill the passengers of the plane, with No Proof.

Dod you know that the body of a stewardess was found, with her hands bound....doubtless you will now say it was the CIA that did it....or might it no more probably be that the Hijackers did it.

If this happened , then this must have happened and for that to happen the passengers had to be gassed. Please, this is just sick.

Did you know that Tom Clancy.....not the sharpes pencil in anyones draw, set up the same situation in one of his books prior to 9 11 happeneing. This was *not( sophisticated, in any way, it just tool a twisted mind with a lot of money to do it.

People have been hijacking planes since the 70s remember....the only extra bit was flying them into the twin towers. That wasn't at all sophisticated. Just cunning.

and flying planes isn;t hard. landing them is hard.

I have done my best to answer all the points raised. I'm not an expert, just a sciene teacher. Every time I answer a point, it is largly ignored, and another conspiracy thrown at me, ever more complicated and devious and dare I say it cobblers.

I answer the question about how the steen fell when it didn't get hot enough to melt it....it got hot enough for it to lose 50-90% of its strenght, at which point it deformed and collapsed. Was this counter argued? No, it wasn't. The truth was ignored because it didn't fit in with the theory that only Bush is mad and vile enough to kill americans for his own aims......which is patent crap.

and in the end we arrive at the CIA gassisng people. Please. This isn't rational arugment or discusiion, it is telling stories round the camp fire.

Re the 'melting' steel' I just did.

PS he has a PHD in something.....I don't know that he is a professor in anything. I don't even know what his PHD is in.
