The reports of attacks on Women in NYE, are in their hundreds.Sad

OP posts:
hiddenhome2 · 12/01/2016 19:53

They're organising a webchat with the BBC and The Guardian though Lumela

That's been achieved.

hiddenhome2 · 12/01/2016 19:55

C'mon, two repetitive gaslighters. That's nothing.

kesstrel · 12/01/2016 19:56

The only way to deal with this sort of thing is to skip over the posts and not read them; behave as if they aren't there. It can be done; and in my experience, they eventually get tired of being ignored and give up.

TwistedReach · 12/01/2016 19:57

I said that because people were claiming they 'knew' really bizarre and sinister things about me that would mean I would soon be banned...
I was going to make a joke out of it, but then felt a bit worried.

Constancegardner · 12/01/2016 19:58

Lume, just ignore the annoying flies. Mind you I like insects including Diptera just not ones which attempt to shut down debate.

Moreshabbythanchic · 12/01/2016 20:01

I just ignore their manic rambling posts, its much better that way.

LumelaMme · 12/01/2016 20:02

Sorry, but I do have work to do. I've done bugger all since last week: some, but not enough.

I hope the web chat happens.

MyFavouriteClintonisGeorge · 12/01/2016 20:05

I personally don't think that emily and Twisted are doing anything wrong, like gaslighting. They are just disagreeing with the consensus on this thread. Ignore or argue back, no need to get at them on any personal level.

polentapies · 12/01/2016 20:05

Just skip over the posts. Do you remember Isthatmebut? - 'Twas the same with her: a relentless monotonous diatribe. Fucking truly irritating yes but you get used to skimming

SonyaAtTheSamovar · 12/01/2016 20:07

Wordsaremything thank you for that heads up.

Wordsaremything · 12/01/2016 20:07

That c 4 thing was good- at least some of the issues are now being debated in the mainstream. Please don't leave the thread-just ignore the irritants.

WillBeatJanuaryBlues · 12/01/2016 20:07

lumela I hope you are able to say something to MNHQ before you bow out.

I was thinking earlier how hard it was to get sex attackers reconsigned in Rotheram and in other cases. I know we have a hell of a way to go in the UK, but we do try, at least. But look at how many social workers, council worker, the police hushed it all up.

One can only imagine how awful it is in these closed misogynist societies where women have even less power!

How much goes un reported there.

hiddenhome2 · 12/01/2016 20:08

Well, I think telling people that they're crazy, paranoid and weird is pretty personal Hmm

polentapies · 12/01/2016 20:08

Thanks for organising the webchat Lumela Flowers
(you too MNHQ obviously!!! Grin)

Justanotherlurker · 12/01/2016 20:09

So to get back on point twisted, with the recent 'phenomen' that is currently sweeping Europe what with evidence that a political stance has hindered not only police releasing information but media suppressing comments and reports, looking at a common factors to try and see why there is a problem isn't inherrintly racist?

If a common factor is prevelant in recent reports, that factor needs discussing no?

And before you start, find me one post that has extrapolated one to mean all

SonyaAtTheSamovar · 12/01/2016 20:09

Em wouldn't answer me or engage.

Reminds me of when the guy from the scientologists asked me and my pal to leave his shop.

How far into the c4 programming is the debate

HelpTheAnimalsFirst · 12/01/2016 20:12

Twisted: "if you work in housing with immigrants- please tell me it wasn't you that said you won't speak to a woman in a bhurka."

I was not front desk, I was in Investigations. On the occasions when I did interview a lady in a burka she was kind enough to remove it if there were no men present; if a male member of staff was present, then she showed me her face just so that I could identify her as she was under caution. You do understand that my speaking with women with or without burkas was not a social chit-chat or a political discourse.

emilybohemia · 12/01/2016 20:12

justanother, I know some skinheads that have face tatoos and they're really nice. I would talk to someone with a burkha, why not?

TwistedReach · 12/01/2016 20:12

Just another, I don think that looking at common factors has to be inherently racist- no.

Wordsaremything · 12/01/2016 20:14

Second to last item I think- so about 45 mins in at a rough guess?

Wordsaremything · 12/01/2016 20:15

That was for bee by the way !

WillBeatJanuaryBlues · 12/01/2016 20:15

Your spot on there, spot on. Wearing down is a tactic.
