The reports of attacks on Women in NYE, are in their hundreds.Sad

OP posts:
claig · 12/01/2016 16:53

I think a key question is were these NYE attacks organised or unorganised? At first I thought they were probably unorganised, but now I am beginning to think there may be more to them and that they were organised.

Both possibilities are bad. If they were unorganised, then that means that we are likely to see more of them in the future due to cultural differences and trying to integrate 9 million more refugees, the mahjority of whom are young men not even from Syria, but from all over the Middle East and Afghanistan and Pakistan without any background checks as to who they are.

If it was organised, then it probably means it is a political destabilisation process, and that is also very bad because we know that our puppet political class will probably react by removing our liberties because they are too frightened of being politically incorrect to change their policies.

Who are the puppeteers? claig

I've been on a study day so have missed this discussion.

people under estimate poverty and all sorts in different countries.

it seems obv to me many of these men are simply opportunistic thieves and petty criminals who have been handed a gift and been aloud to enter Germany

saying its organized maybe there is an element to it, i suspect they are just doing what they do in their own countries.

if you were a petty thief would you stay in the poor country where you can steal pennies or would you head to the power heart of Europe - ie germany and steal i phones and euros?

I know what I would do.

hefzi · 12/01/2016 16:58

I'm really shocked by what some of you are posting concerning your children's experiences Shock

It's really no wonder that Europe seems to be dominated by groupthink on this issue.

claig · 12/01/2016 16:58

This was Megyn Kelly on Fox News the other night

"Fox's Kelly On Muslim Immigration: "Is Germany Over As We Know It? Is Europe?"

MEGYN KELLY (HOST): Joining me now, Soeren Kern, a distinguished senior fellow at the Gatestone Institute, which is an international policy group and think tank. Soeren is a dual German and U.S. Citizen who lives in Europe.
...
KELLY: Do you feel -- you look at this, is Germany over as we know it? Is Europe?

KERN: Well, the Europe that we've come to know and that we've come to love is certainly over. Germany will never be the same. It's just impossible to integrate these people and there's already a very big problem in many European countries including Germany of parallel societies, essentially where large groups of Muslim immigrants that are not integratable into the whole society essentially set up their parallel society, including with Sharia courts, the application of Sharia law. This is just going to continue and it's just basically be fast-tracked from here on out. "

mediamatters.org/video/2016/01/07/foxs-kelly-on-muslim-immigration-is-germany-ove/207851

Now that is Fox News and they do tend to sensationalise, but I wouldn't put it past the great and the good to actually want that to happen to the people of Europe.

MephistophelesApprentice · 12/01/2016 17:02

What's next I wonder.

When I was studying, we were warned against the very human habit of seeing repeating patterns within history.

But, as a human who has studied history, the next thing is I get called up for war.

LumelaMme · 12/01/2016 17:03

Who has curtailed YOUR freedom of speech?
Oh, nobody. But when I exercised it I was called a racist, and when I howled that one down, I was called bigoted and prejudiced.

Lucky I'm not a fragile flower. Not everyone would be happy to risk receiving that sort of abuse.

But freedom of speech IS an issue in all this: we can't be free to speak about what is going on if we don't know WHAT is going on: if the media is self-censoring, freedom of speech is a bit of sick joke.

I have only engaged with a certain poster to make the point about free speech depending on free information, and to say that the freedom to express oneself is much much more likely to used if one can do so without being accused of being things one isn't.

claig · 12/01/2016 17:05

'Who are the puppeteers? '

The great and the good. The people who allow our liberties to be removed because of some London DJ Jihadis in Syria who threaten us and who don't wipe these people out. As Roger Stone, Trump's former adviser, said in the US yesterday "let's stop these pinprick attacks on Isis" and let's wipe them out and let's do it quickly, not wiat "a generation" as our puppet political class says, because in a generation, our freedoms may be gone, we may not be allowed to tweet "Red Tory" anymore, our societies may be destabilised, divide and conquer may play the people off against each other and the rich may impose whatever austerity they feel like in a globalised global governance Davos type rule where our votes for our puppets will have no influence on what happens in our society.

At least Orban said

“We need to listen to the people and incorporate their views in our politics,” Orbán told Hungarian state television Wednesday. “If we can’t do that, we’ll have a political crisis on top of our migrant crisis.”

and that's why none of the European political class like him.

HelpTheAnimalsFirst · 12/01/2016 17:07

I don't know if Orban is fascist, certainly not from his public statements (Claig's post). But what I would say is that those non-ethnically European men who sexually attacked in Cologne and so many other cities are Islamofascists.

He did not deny aid and food. I think Hungary was ill-prepared for so many people, but some of those migrants threw their packets of food at the police when they saw that the packets had the Red Cross symbol.

And by the way, I have never had a problem with a Hungarian man getting over-friendly with me or groping me. It's called boundaries, Mr Emily. Whereas I've had plenty of unsolicited and quite disgusting approaches - always from Muslim men in my area of London; not Hindus, Sikhs, Africans or anyone else who is not ethnically European.

emilybohemia · 12/01/2016 17:08

People say I need to start my own thread, but this thread has become a thread using the Cologne attacks as a cover for to support limiting immigration. Why not have a new thread on immigration then?

Helptheanimals,

The tiny amount that committed the assaults in Colgne cannot be said to repreent the majority of refugees, therefore there is little sense in limiting immigration because of them.

The UK does not have far too many immigrants. those accepted for asylum is very low.

The number of refugees the UK has accepted is shamefullylow and David Cameron has sidestepped the moral obligation that UK has. But what can we expect from someone that calls reugees 'cockroaches'?

The issues with your neighbour's children lie in Tory educational policy and where they invest their money, not with refugees. It amuses me that I am accused of derailing the threads when a thread about sexual violence has turned into a place for people to bkame refugees and migrants for the shortcomings of their own government.

Teenager raped at City Hall

claig · 12/01/2016 17:10

'it seems obv to me many of these men are simply opportunistic thieves and petty criminals who have been handed a gift and been aloud to enter Germany

saying its organized maybe there is an element to it, i suspect they are just doing what they do in their own countries. '

That may be the right explanation, but we were told that they had sheets with German sentences on them to use. There may be more to it, a political thing, and days later we see an attack which kills German tourists in Turkey.

Everything is happening to Germany. Its politically correct political class did the crazy thing of allowing 1 million unchecked, mainly young men, not even from Syria in and now they may be being destabilised for political purposes.

VertigoNun · 12/01/2016 17:11

I am getting very angry at our silent politicians and left wing press.

OP posts:
LumelaMme · 12/01/2016 17:19

I'm all in favour of limiting immigration.

There. I said it. Not stopping it. Limiting it.

Britain is a small, crowded country and if we let everybody in who wanted to come in we would be comprehensively fucked. Our level of food security is already poor. Our infrastructure is creaking. House prices are ludicrously high, and too few are being built, partly because we're running out of green spaces that people are happy to have concreted over and partly because we have a major skills shortage in the building trade. We don't know what global warming will hold for us. Droughts? Rising sea levels? Will having more people here make it better, or worse?

But that was not what this thread was about. It was about the challenge to women's rights in Europe presented by the immigration, into Europe, of men who don't seem to have the faintest idea about European behavioural norms around women. It was about how we could tackle that, and bring the debate about this into the open.

Pinkchampchoccies · 12/01/2016 17:22

"to get me off the thread when I didn't share your views, you are a fine one to talk about freedomof speech!

Nope, sorry you not sharing my views is not why I was hoping you would go away. HTH Smile

HelpTheAnimalsFirst · 12/01/2016 17:24

Emily: "It isn't right to simply blame the police, but sexual violence appears to thrive in communities where there are no serious consequences for sexual violence."

Yes sexual violence does thrive when there are no consequences to the men. But as taharrush gamea is woven into the fabric of Egypt and countries in that part of the world, we can confidently say that love of such sadistic attacks on women is systemic within culture and will be imported by men coming from that part of the globe.

THAT is a massively important and major portion of any profile that any FBI profiler could assemble. Just that one aspect trumps anything else.

unlucky83 · 12/01/2016 17:25

emily you keep going on about assaults at Okotberfest...they do seem to have sky rocketed in recent years - but do you know the nationality/background of the perpetrators of those assaults? Cos I don't...
When it was first brought up you posted a link about a male rape of a UK citizen...I was actually trying to compare the way it was reported to the initial reports of the Cologne attacks...but I couldn't find a description of the assailants... anywhere -nothing -absolutely no descriptions.
In fact I could find little information in general about the perpetrators of any of the assaults .
I was going to post this before ..but held back - but now in light of the apparent extent of the media and police cover ups of other assaults by migrants I am now wondering if there isn't a reason why there are no descriptions?

DespicableBee · 12/01/2016 17:28

Apparently three Syrian boys raped two teenage German girls in a public swimming pool
This stuff just gets worse

Moreshabbythanchic · 12/01/2016 17:31

Pink its not that Emily doesn't agree with most of the posters on here that gets my goat its the fact that she is minimising all these attacks and constantly making excuses for the attackers that gets my back up. Well, Emily I've got news for you there are no excuses!

VertigoNun · 12/01/2016 17:31

It's the way it was kept quiet, hurting those targeted a second time and placed others in danger. I am so cross. Where the Fuck are Corbyn and Cameron?

OP posts:
Constancegardner · 12/01/2016 17:31

Unlucky, do you mean the Libyans (?) in the Uk for training who raped a uk man and sexually assaulted females and are applying to be given asylum when they are released from prison?
