Not an easy one, my mind keeps changing. Right now I'm going for Life On Mars.

Anyone else?

Everyone says Hi, so beautiful.

DH and I wanted 'As the world falls down' as our first dance but the band couldn't plat it. Labyrinth bought us together and we saw Bowie live back in early 2000's, so glad we did.

imjustahead · 11/01/2016 10:56

Moonage Daydream

OnlyLovers · 11/01/2016 10:59

Golden Years. Love the sentiment of 'nothing's gonna stop us'. And the structure and sounds of it; the clicks and handclaps. Always makes me think of that kind of sixteenth-century dance they do in Elizabethan costume dramas.

emotionsecho · 11/01/2016 10:59

Difficult to choose

Let's Dance
Ashes to Ashes
Ziggy Stardust
Under Pressure

So many great songs.

imjustahead · 11/01/2016 11:00

Our copy of his latest album ( a ltd edition clear vinyl) came in the post half an hour ago.

We'd got an email on the 6th saying they were delayed. Downloaded it anyway on friday.
Today it was a little gift.x

WillBeatJanuaryBlues · 11/01/2016 11:05

yes Moonage daydream

WillBeatJanuaryBlues · 11/01/2016 11:08

However, standing in a field at Glastonbury with 20,000 people all singing Heroes remains one of the most uplifting moments of my life

and so it rightly should Smile

I still feel pain and indeed thought of missing that this morning.

The weather was amazing too wasn't it. The set was brilliant.

I was at home desperate trying to see him on telly and they kept switching to a barn with a flute player or something.

Can you imagine how frustrating that was Angry ahhhhhhhhhhh.

Amazing Glasto.

OurBlanche · 11/01/2016 11:34

Serious Moonlight Tour, Milton Keynes for me

Stay
What in the World and
Wild is the Wind

EnthusiasmDisturbed · 11/01/2016 11:46

Space Oddity

Followed by
Modern Love
Ashes to Ashes

MsBojangles · 11/01/2016 15:54

Jean Genie
Heroes
Ashes to Ashes
Absolute Beginners

So so many, I can't think of another artist (except maybe Prince) who have such an amazing back catalogue. I've been in tears all day and I wasn't even an uber fan, just someone who loves amazing music.

fourmummy · 11/01/2016 15:58

Blance Thanks for posting the Wild is the Wind. I think I need more tissues as well...

TolpuddleFarter · 11/01/2016 16:06

Moonage Daydream or Sound and Vision

Chopchopbusybusy · 11/01/2016 16:14

I had my David Bowie playlist on shuffle when I was out in the car earlier. I sang loudest to Sufragette City and Panic in Detroit. Kooks, as always, made me smile. I have too many favourites to mention. I do love all of Hunky Dory as it was the first of his albums I bought.
Ourblanche I was at MK bowl too. Saw him at Murrayfield in Edinburgh too in the early 80s.

OurBlanche · 11/01/2016 16:23

I met him, Chopchop.

Well, if you call standing at one end of a corridor and making momentary eye contact with him as he passed through the other end meeting I did Grin

Panic in Detroit is a goody. I am drawn to the quiet ones at the moment, Berlin Trilogy and I got stuck on Low:

Be My Wife
Always Crashing the Same Car
What in the World was repeated a few times, see below Smile

insan1tyscartching · 11/01/2016 16:33

Lady Stardust for me

"And he was alright, the band was altogether
Yes he was alright, the song went on forever
And he was awful nice"

Life on Mars
Heroes
and Changes are also favourites.

PiqueABoo · 11/01/2016 16:45

Rock n' Roll Suicide because of the torchy drama.

DurhamDurham · 11/01/2016 16:51

Absolute Beginners

From the first note to the last it is magnificent. And God forbid a radio presenter talks before it is finished.

gillyginger · 11/01/2016 17:02

It is impossible to pick one, just reading this thread makes me want all my Bowie records( which my dsis has pinched!), stereo , headphones and to curl up and pretend I am 16 again,,so so sad , Ashes to Ashes is just brilliant, i really love Lets Dance reminds me of happy times at school, but there is too many to chose from x

donajimena · 11/01/2016 17:06

Black tie white noise , has been on repeat in the car today
That must have been so much fun to make with all the musicians.

OurBlanche · 11/01/2016 17:07

Come to mine, gilly. Vinyl, Sennheisers, or great speakers and the neighbours don't hear much.

Tomorrow I may play the more noisy stuff.

Running Gun Blues and She Shook Me Cold have been running through my head. But DH is home now!

OurBlanche · 11/01/2016 17:08

dona I have Pallas Athena playing now Smile

emilybohemia · 11/01/2016 17:09

I like 'A Better Future', when he had a bit of a ravey phase. I also like 'New Killer Star' and 'Fall Dog Bombs the Moon' as well as 'Ashes to Ashes.' Love his older stuff, one that says,'God knows I'm good' in the chorus, can't remember its name.

It is nice to see the outpouring of love for him.

NickiFury · 11/01/2016 17:10

Man who sold the world. They just played it on the news and I blubbed.

buffymum · 11/01/2016 17:13

Wide eyed boy from Freecloud
Life on Mars
Space Oddity

But love many more too

BoreOfWhabylon · 11/01/2016 17:13

This one's pretty cheesy but I love it anyway - Bowie and Bing Crosby
