9/11. Not interested in a debate here, but can we just have a quick show of hands?

AnotherEffingOrangeRevel · 12/10/2015 12:36

I'm just interested in how many people around here are also highly skeptical of what we have been told about 9/11.

I'm really not after a debate (it would be long, involved, probably pointless and personally I have done this elsewhere), but I just wanted to see who is around.

It has very strong ongoing relevance for current world events.

Many thanks.

Who the chuff are 'the elite' and 'the luvvies'??

And the DM as the one source of all truth has to be for comedy effect doesn't it?

Claig are you some some of new alternative comedian? Confused

LibrariesGaveUsP0wer · 15/10/2015 21:54

The concept of crisis actors is so bonkers it would be funny if it didn't shit all over and compound the real grief of real people.

I love your faith in Google. It's really sweet for someone who distrusts so much.

claig · 15/10/2015 22:01

'Who the chuff are 'the elite' and 'the luvvies'??'

No one knows exactly who the elite are, which is why they are the elite, but everybody knows who the luvvies are, they are the elite's lackeys.

'And the DM as the one source of all truth has to be for comedy effect doesn't it?'

It's onlt alternative comedy in an alternative reality and a parallel world, but in the real world, it is the cold, hard truth.

'Claig are you some some of new alternative comedian? '

There's nothing new about alternative comedy, and there is nothing new about what I am saying, it's just old school fact.

Hmm
mimishimmi · 15/10/2015 22:20

Claig, this is nothing new under the sun though. They have always done terrible stuff like this. My dad's family were living in tents after WW2. My grandfather had horrible electric shock treatments administered to him against his will to try and force him to forget his wartime memories of SE Asia and serving as part of the occupation forces in Japan. He resented America because of stuff he experienced there and researched afterward, not the Japanese necessarily (except the top honchos). The elites on all sides are always in cahoots. Most of us at 'ground level' do know the Nazis didn't really lose and not all Jewish people were victims. With 9/11 the Saudis were fully involved. Bin Laden was living only 800m from Pakistan's largest military base - he was an agitprop agent. It's all to keep the arms sales going. We just have to muddle along as best we can.

LumelaMme · 15/10/2015 22:21

But don't forget that the elite have teams and teams of luvvies (most often teenage whizzkids from Oxbridge)
Really? When did they begin recruiting them?

Y'know, back in the Dark Ages when I was at Oxbridge, we all thought we knew who the MI5/MI6 recruiters were, and sometimes our suspicions were found to be true when one of our number was asked by some don or other if they had any burning desire to work for their country. So I would expect recent Oxbridge alumni to have spotted the recruitment of whole 'teams' (rather than just the odd bod) for some super-secret work. I'll ask, next time I see them...

Actually, I won't. Because if I come back here and report that no, nobody I know has been asked and doesn't know of anybody who has been asked, I will be told that's because they're given the Amnesia Drug after the interview...

claig · 15/10/2015 22:26

'It's all to keep the arms sales going'

It is much, much more than that. The whole "green agenda", the whole "sustainability" "drive, the whole "climate catastrophe" story and the whole UN Agenda 21 plan of the elites is about much. much more than "arms sales" and money and profit.

claig · 15/10/2015 22:28

'When did they begin recruiting them?'

When Oxbridge was founded.

mimishimmi · 15/10/2015 22:41

Yes, liquidation of entire 'undesireable' communities is part of it too but that's really come to bite them in the ass when it comes to garnering support (and troops) for whatever crap they are planning next.

LumelaMme · 15/10/2015 22:44

'When did they begin recruiting them?'
When Oxbridge was founded.
Whole teams? Do me a favour. I don't even know where to start. I give up. You are beyond help.

I'm right in thinking you are a Kipper, Claig? If you are, you have just convinced me to vote to stay in Europe.

fakenamefornow · 15/10/2015 22:45

No. Although I do love a good conspiracy theory, they're the modern day urban myth.

Really struggling to see George W as a criminal mastermind behind this or indeed a mastermind of any sort.

claig · 15/10/2015 22:50

We are entering a world where population is increasing and people are prospering and science and wealth are allowing people to live longer and better and more healthily. We the people are prospering relative to the past and we the people are off our knees. The elite don't like it and we are entering a world of robots and automation where people's labour will be less needed by the elites. They have lackeys and luvvies thinking about this "brave new world", this "New World Order" and they have come up with a way to stop the progress of the people, to create what they call "sustainability" and what they consider is a "sustainable" standard of living for "we the people" and what they think of as being in the interests of "the planet". They use spin, they uses lackeys, luvvies and liars and sometimes they use "crises" and "crisis actors" as they form their "new world" that will rewrite the laws and ways of the old.

claig · 15/10/2015 22:54

'Whole teams? '

You were right first time, I was joking about "whole teams of luvvies" trying to conceal the truth from Middle England by moving Daily Mail stories down the rankings.

Yes, I am a supporter of UKIP.

claig · 15/10/2015 23:06

Naomi Klein wrote a book called "Shock Doctrine" that tals about crises created by an elite to push forward with an agenda. I haven't read it, but I think "crises" are sometimes used to spin and nudge and push "we the people" in the direction that the elite has got planned for us. But unlike, Naomo, who probably believes that "climate change" is a real "crisis", I believe it is just another trick of the elites to lead the people into the low-grwoth, deindustrialised, "sustainable" existence that the elite have got planned for "we the people".

"The Shock Doctrine:

The Rise of Disaster Capitalism is a 2007 book by the Canadian author Naomi Klein, and is the basis of a 2009 documentary by the same name directed by Michael Winterbottom.[1] The book argues that libertarian free market policies (as advocated by the economist Milton Friedman) have risen to prominence in some developed countries because of a deliberate strategy by some political leaders. These leaders exploit crises to push through controversial exploitative policies while citizens are too emotionally and physically distracted by disasters or upheavals to mount an effective resistance. The book implies that some man-made crises, such as the Iraq War, may have been created with the intention of pushing through these unpopular policies in their wake."

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Shock_Doctrine

There will highly paid lackeys, educated luvvies, liars and well-paid spinners working for the elite in the media, and there will be "citizen journalists" and conspiracy researchers working for the people on youtube.

springalong · 16/10/2015 00:18

Ok, you asked for a show of hands about 9/11. It happened. Nearly 3000 people died from many countries. I worked for one of the main companies affected. I was in London near Canary Wharf Tower. For hours we didn't know if we were next. We did our jobs quietly and efficiently then went home. I didn't know the towers had fallen until I sat in my kitchen and watched the news, tears just falling quietly. I will never forget that day. I was working in the US in 1993 when they tried to bomb the WTC for the 1st time. Our security guy vowed he would evacuate the building if anything like that ever happened again. He did on 9/11 but died in the process. So conspiracy - think incompetence - and you may be more accurate. But I still cry for the event that changed the security in our world for the foreseeable future. What was the point of your post OP?

CorbynsTopButton · 16/10/2015 07:18

I'm with you, batshit. Serious unanswered (or inadequately answered) questions.

This is nothing new. The media has been used to portray untruth and persuade people of things which aren't true for centuries and across the globe. We're happy to accept it happens in other nations and at other times. We have much more trouble believing it to apply to ourselves. But it does.

Helmetbymidnight · 16/10/2015 07:45

I haven't seen any adequately asked questions here.

claig · 16/10/2015 10:00

'haven't seen any adequately asked questions here.'

Did you miss the following question?

'Who the chuff are 'the elite' and 'the luvvies'??'

It doesn't get more adequate, apposite and appropriate than that! That is the chuffing crux of the complete conundrum.

FisherQueen · 16/10/2015 10:20

Well this is a thread that keeps on giving. Just to point out that Oxbridge is actually 2 separate institutions made up of individual colleges all founded at different times. My college was founded in the 15th century by monks. Not sure there was much recruiting for "luvvies" to affect Google rankings then...

claig · 16/10/2015 10:35

'My college was founded in the 15th century by monks. Not sure there was much recruiting for "luvvies" to affect Google rankings then...'

They worked with the technology they had at the time. The monks had a stranglehold on knowledge and learning at the time while the serfs worked in the fields for the nobility on pain of death if they so much as looked at a noble in the wrong way. The monks didn't call them "luvvies" in those days (because at that time the concept of "the metropolitan elite" was fortunately still in its infancy), they called them "stooges" but it's all the same can of crisis actor carbon capture cannellini beans.

I haven't paid enough attention to the "citizen journalists" on youtube, but did watch some of the "crisis actor busted" exposes on youtube yesterday. One conspiracy researcher said that the mainstream media, Fox, CBS Today etc don't control their youtube comments in the smae tight way the newspapers control theirs. If you watch the interviews with what conspiracy researchers claim are "crisis actors" being interviewed on channels like Fox etc, and read the comments underneath the mainstream interviews, you will be hard to find anyone who thinks the mainstream have not been busted. It is quite amazing.

BetLynchsBeehive · 16/10/2015 10:37

It surprises me that some people choose to believe in and have unreasonable faith in conspiracy theories.

If you are so sceptical of everything you are told then please follow through and believe nothing rather than having faith in unsubstantiated homemade YouTube material.

Oh dear Claig, I think you missed the tone of my question vis a vis the identity of your so called 'elites' and the 'luvvies'. To clarify I think you a very over active imaginative and need a long lie down in a darkened room.

You a have a very, umm, unique way of thinking and putting 2 + 2 together to come up with 0.34255. It must be an exhausting way to live.

claig · 16/10/2015 11:13

'unique way of thinking and putting 2 + 2 together to come up with 0.34255'

OK, maths was never one of my strong points, there's no need to rub it in. I know the answer is 0.35 to 4 decimal places.
