Then you are a very generous person hc

worksforaliving · 05/11/2006 22:40

hairy - you can;t spend a week in paris changing outfits 8 times a day in order to get the press to photograph you over and over again, then complain when they show up where you are the following week to photograph you and what you are wearing?!!! you have set up the dynamic and of course you are responsible in large measure for how it affects those who are dependent on you.
now i'm really going to bed.

PeachyClair · 05/11/2006 22:40

I can't actually remember though the last time she courted publicity? Not that I look much, but I have no antipathy for the women and have never seen her show anything less than love for her children.

We don't benefit financially through my being a student, but without it I would go insane quite rapidly. Different people need differing aspects to their lives. And whilst I am aware that I could be 'at home' for Samuel more, I am also aware that if I were, I would be horrid at it.

Very much different strokes for different folks.

My personal feeling si that the Press need to back off now and just let them get on with their lives, kid wise. Indeed, the Press should bacl off celebrity kids full stop.

spinningkittywheel · 05/11/2006 22:43

What would you do lockets if you had a job that involved lots of cameras but your child risked having convulsions because of them?
Would you stay in that job or find a way of very much reducing the amount of photography involved?
Perhaps there will always be the odd pap taking pictures, perhaps they are famous enough for that always to be the case, but they could, if they wanted really, really reduce the amount of interest in them and so the amount of pictures taken.
It would take time but it could be done. Let's hope they make the right decision for the well being of their son.

southeastastra · 05/11/2006 22:44

but the photographers following her aren't just one or two there are loads of them..

spinningkittywheel · 05/11/2006 22:47

But in time, if she steps out of the limelight and all her fashion show stuff they numbers would dwin dle and dwindle.
As i've said it would take time.
But THB she won't bow out, if she does I'll go and rummage in the back of a cupbaord, find a dusty old hat and eat it

spinningkittywheel · 05/11/2006 22:48

GunpowderTreasonAndSNOT · 05/11/2006 23:39

I agree with kitty on this one

louii · 05/11/2006 23:52

Is her son not a bit old to be getting pushed in a buggy though?

squatchette · 06/11/2006 06:04

I agree with VVV about NOTW printing pics as warning to other press and paps ,downmarket rag that it is.

spinningkittywheel · 06/11/2006 06:45

Gunpowder, why the twitch? Is it such an awful thing to agree with me?

VeniVidiVickiQV · 06/11/2006 19:11

Its probably the fastest way to get him through an airport full of photographers that she is courting publicity from louii

A large part of the "publicity" stuff that VB does is charity based. She uses her 'fame' to court publicity - but these days usually for a good cause. I dont think that entitles the press to invade her privacy, or that of her family. What a fucked up world we live in that dictates how a person can be treated, simply because they have earned money from being in the spotlight.

There is no excuse for chasing a mother through an airport with her child, scared out of his wits, in his buggy. No excuse.

kittywits · 06/11/2006 19:50

Yeah but VVV she knows that this all comes with the terrotory whether it is right or wrong, it's part of the fame 'package' don't you think?

kittywits · 06/11/2006 19:50

meant territory

misdee · 06/11/2006 19:52

yes but surely they should leave them alone when any of their children are with them.

vultures they are.

OP posts:
Coolmama · 06/11/2006 19:55

they should get their publicist to stop arranging "candid" photo shots of them -

VeniVidiVickiQV · 06/11/2006 20:06

Perhaps they should make vows to fame, when they start become famous:

"For better or for worse, in sicknes and in health, till death parts us"

VeniVidiVickiQV · 06/11/2006 20:08

Coolmama - perhaps those shots are arranged so that they arent stalked everywhere they go with their family.

Giving little bits here and there to keep the baying crowds at arms length.
