victoria had a go at the paparazzi over flash photography. so says the news of the world

how scary.

if you don't want your fame to affect your kids, then stop hauling your private life out in public and selling your tales of happy domesticity with your hubby and kids to anyone who will pay.
but you guys are obviously sweeter and less cynical than me.
BTW, i didn't say they didn't love their kids, just that they do use them to make money, so they should take some responsibility for the consequences that that brings

I agree Liz. I just don't think the press should be trailing after celebs when their children are about, and esp not directed their cameras at the children, unless it is arranged beforehand.

Hopefully now the press is aware they will alter their ways - somehow I doubt they will.

when your child has any form of health issue it takes time to adjust and come to terms, to figure out what's right for your family: it's not that far off a bereavement. I suspect they desperately wanted to keep him within the family and protected- that was very much my instinct with Sam, you don't want to talk to other people before you can deal with yourself.

i think they have only just had the official dx,so they probably didint want to announce it straight away, they need time to adjust them selves, as peachy says.

didn't like the way the NOTW said VB has "confessed" that their son has epilepsy....... what? Is it a sin now?

If she knows that camerea flashes could set off a convulsion then for her child's sake she should quietly bow out of celebrity life and court as little publicity as possible.
But I doubt very much whether she is prepared to make that sacrifice. I would do it for any of my children, would she do it for hers ?

but they did make a statement about a year ago, though i don't think the press would take any notice too much money to be made from them..

Sorry but whilst HE should be protected, those of us with Sn kids, whether we're trying to work in a factory or be megastars- we're entitled to a life of our choosing as much as anyone else.

No I disagree peachy. if you are in a profession, if you have a choice and have more money than you know what to do with, that is not good for your child and you have a choice to stop then surely you must stop.
You can't rely so heavily on the press for you fortune and then say you don't want to be photographed.
Without the press she is no longer a commodity that sells and makes money. She must chose and luckily she has anough money to be able to make that choice.

ok, going to bed now but...VB is well media savvy enough to know how to put out a press statement. esp concerning something as important as her kids. if she puts out a statement saying flash photography may endanger her child's life she can sue anyone who endangers her child's life.
i suspect 'poor romeo' and his condition will be sold to OK, Hello, Closer and many others before long, and the best thing about that is that it will raise awareness of the condition for those who know little or nothing about it.
and make the Beckhams many more bucks in the process.

Southeastastra , can I get this right. She made a statement about her child's needs and medical condition? She then carried on courting fame and the cameras as much as before?

spinningkittywheel, so what about the times they have snapped her coming home from the hairdressers? How is she supposed to bow out when she is relentlessly followed? If she said she was leaving the spotlight for the sake of Romeo, she would till be photographed, because she is who she is and her photo makes the photographers megabucks.

Even if she was takling the kids ot the park, or to the cinema, say there would still be paps! How does she avoid them?

Hc, no she cannot become unfamous , but I do think she can stop doing all the publicity stuff that she does.
She can ask for the press to be considerate and wait for the attention on her and her family to die down and then lead as private a life as she can engineer.

well it was reported in the press a while back that romeo was having problems but i don't think she has courted the media in the last year (apart from her wonderful book of course!)

her children arent actually photographed that much. i dont think i have ever seen cruz in photos.

VB is a famous woman, and the beckham brand is huuuge. whereever they go they will get photographed, and that means that the kids get snapped as well at times.

a year ago they did issue a statement about romeo as he had been in hospital after fitting, and there was speculation then, but i think the dx of epilepsy is a new thing to them.

VB isnt seen as much in the public eye now IMO as she was pre-kids.

but on this particular occasion all they did was fly back home from spain.

they can't stop paparazzi being there when they get off a plane.

If she stops doing all the publicity courting she does and infact stops being in anyway interesting to the media then eventually nearly all interest will wane I reckon.

nah, she will always be famous, even if she does nothing, and the press will always want pics.

but all she has to do is get a haircut and the paps are after her!

But the paps are interesed in her whtaever she does at the mo because she loves to be photgraphed, fashion shows, clothes lines, t.v docs, charity bashes etc. etc.
