...because, according to the news, her seperated parents can't give her the care that she needs. It so sad, I want to cry. Poor, poor Charlotte, poor, poor parents.

OP posts:

fox.
'I work and pay taxes - we would love to keep reproducing but we cannot afford it - no I don't resent my taxes paying for Charlotte's care but do resent my taxes being spent on people who can't work/won't work and by all accounts are completely anti-social as well'

hold on, i'll just send peter out to work shall i. he cant work. and i can't work as i am his primary carer.

never expect people to understand fattiemumma, its not worth it.

I'll choose the word you used thanks. I don't think you do have the right to call others twats actually.

If you have suffered personal abuse on this thread (and Rust) - then that was wrong too.

and er, I don't think you need me to defend you. Especially when I don't agree with you.

kittythescarygoblin · 17/10/2006 22:42

Socci, if my opnion is different to that of the norm then my thinking is outside the box. If my thinking is so shockingly different then i am not in the box am I?

being new to this and not being able to stop myself from looking can i just ask do Socci and GreenSepticStumps always going into chats and being so rude to people when they are trying to talk about really issues

No need to comment about my silly comment PND for any one that did not see it but you did really make me cross, on am issue you no nothing about..

GreenSepticStumps · 17/10/2006 22:46

Sorry, can't make head nor tail of that. Try again

kittythescarygoblin · 17/10/2006 22:46

Niceglasses, what i am saying is if you want to defend that others for having a nasty thing said about them, merely because it is nasty then defend me too because I have had nasty things said to me. It cuts both ways or not at all. What would you like me to say" oh there have been some highly unpleasant peopleposting today and they have made me rather annoyed, what silly people they are" The comment wasn't aimed at any of you. They will be alot of people saying alot worse about alot of you, it happens. I have said, I seen alot worse since my time on MN alot worse.

sorrell · 17/10/2006 22:46

"thinking outside the box" is such a dreary cliche. You'll be telling us next you ran some ideas up the flagpole to see who saluted. And no, actually, I wouldn't describe repeating scare stories about feckless parents on benefits and writing drivel about choosing either to fund healthcare for a child in a UK hospital and 'the starving in Africa' as novel, fresh or radical talk. The first point is repeated ad nauseaum everywhere, the second is just plain nonsense.
The fact that many people think someone's ideas are horrible does not automatically mean they are particularly clever.

bigbird2003 · 17/10/2006 22:47

This thread has gone such along way off topic!

None us of truly know what this family has been through. None of us know what life is like for them. So how can so much vitriol be shouted for people we know nothing about? (other than what the papers have reported....but please don't forget 'freddie starr ate my hampster"! lol papers cannot be trusted to report the full truth or facts)

Just a few more comments. Mrs Wyatt is being highly critisised here. The consequences of fighting for that baby's life were not thought through...BUT after being told your daughter WILL NOT live what consequences should she have been prepared for? The death of her baby probably, not the life of a seriously disabled child

Also, how hard must it be to bond with a baby when you are never alone, there are very few nice moments and again being told she WILL die, I can imagine someone wanting to distance themselves. Maybe most wouldn't, but this is where EMPATHY comes in!

I was asked if I'd like to put my daughter into foster care (just after I was told she would never walk, talk, eat, swallow etc) as at the time I had 3 other children under 5. I declined as I have a very strong family support and at that time we were happily married. Many people just can't cope with a child like Charlotte and lets face it, I doubt the Wyatts fully expected her to live to see the day she could leave hospital

Empathy is definately the word everyone should remember

of course you do socci and no, I can't be arsed.

SamhainWitch · 17/10/2006 22:48

So who was it aimed at then kitty? That was my original question.

sorrell · 17/10/2006 22:48

Great post bigbird.

kittythescarygoblin · 17/10/2006 22:49

Sorrell you have gone off on one again and you are making no sense whatsoever.

Rust, the answer is mostly yes

kittythescarygoblin · 17/10/2006 22:50

What's it got to do with you?

Socci · 17/10/2006 22:50

niceglasses · 17/10/2006 22:51

But I haven't seen anything nasty about you. I have read most of the thread, not all. I've seen pple with a different view to you put forward with force - but you've done that too- but thats not the same.

And er, I can choose who I want to defend right? I'm bound to defend those I feel a sympathy with. Its got nothing to do with 'pals' - I'm not a massively frequent poster.

sorrell · 17/10/2006 22:51

I'm sorry you don't understand my post Kitty. Maybe your husband could explain it to you later.

kittythescarygoblin · 17/10/2006 22:52

Sorell it wasn't me who said about the box, it was socci, I was merely using her words.
I'm off to bed now.

rust · 17/10/2006 22:53

bb you sound like you have a real understand and your right you do detach yourself, its all very sad and the media paly a big role. did you would you fight for your child to the end? or is this to personal feel free to say none of my busines..

hope this english is ok for sorr and gss, i tried extra hard just for them

kittythescarygoblin · 17/10/2006 22:55

Socci, the thought has crossed my mind, but actually they don't seem to bother me in a nearly the same way that they seem to enrage some you, so I haven't bothered. what'sthe point in doing that? I've never understood it.. I mention them only because of the person who goes on lots of threads and nice glasses.

rust · 17/10/2006 22:55

kitty shame you have to go sleep well

kittythescarygoblin · 17/10/2006 22:57

I doubt it sorell, try to express youself a little more calmly. He doesn't do rants.

HumphreyComfreyCushion · 17/10/2006 22:57

Why has the focus of this thread turned from the Wyatt family to Kitty?

Maybe it's because we have covered all there is to say about Charlotte from the information available at this time?

Some posters empathise with the family, others clearly don't, won't or can't.

I don't see any value in countering Kitty's comments anymore - there is clearly such a gulf of opinion, that it's just a waste of time IMO.

Besides which, time is ticking on - won't MrKitty soon be along to tell us all off again?
