...because, according to the news, her seperated parents can't give her the care that she needs. It so sad, I want to cry. Poor, poor Charlotte, poor, poor parents.

Oh give over woman, it's only pus - look

kittythescarygoblin · 17/10/2006 21:29

Do you really think that? She didn't seem like one to me. Are you saying that based on her views alone?

Misdee, I'll have a look at that thread then, should I roll my sleeves up ?!

niceglasses · 17/10/2006 21:29

I genuinely didn't get her point. What was it she was trying to say by pasting in that post again? I am certainly being honest. I'm many things (crappy mother, speccy four eyes, hippy with chav leanings) but not a liar.

Anyway, think as said earlier some massive fundamental political, even philosophical questions are raised by this and are not going to be solved. Its not a reason to leave tho - of course you're entitled to your opinion - I don't think anyone would deny you that.

GreenSepticStumps · 17/10/2006 21:31

Yes, I thought there was a deliberately trouble-making edge to her posts, she was enjoying getting a rise out of people. My instincts said "troll" when she frst appeared and nothing that ensued served to dissuade me.

rust · 17/10/2006 21:36

Is it normal to be rude to people on this website, I have only ever gone on them before for children with sn and have found most people to be nice, I don't mind what you think of me, and fortunatly I am a level head person who is not easily offened, but grown ups should not really talk about people like you just have GreenSepticStumps and as for socci you are only up set because you have pnd get over it,

Thanks Kitty, as I was new to this site yesterday I can take or leave it, but they must need it....

rust · 17/10/2006 21:38

oh and i can I just as does troll stand for something or just what you think i am

GreenSepticStumps · 17/10/2006 21:39

"you are only up set because you have pnd so get over it"

I rest my case. Scum.

Rust, hang around, MN has alot to offer. It's a great place to find support. Don't let your experiences on this thread cloud your judgment, hold fire on the leaving.

TheDaVinciCod · 17/10/2006 21:41

i htought rust was rather interesting tbh

GreenSepticStumps · 17/10/2006 21:43

You are offending people with bad typing skills how nice

kittythescarygoblin · 17/10/2006 21:45

Socci, don't. Her statements were inlammatory to you but that doesn't make her a troll. it didn't come across to me at all that she said what she said simply to up the ante. I believe 100% it was what she believes, there's a difference. Great differences in opinions don't mean that either party is wrong, they are differing takes on life. i am very glad that there are differing views, whether I like them or not.

TheDaVinciCod · 17/10/2006 21:45

rust! i awas being nice

niceglasses · 17/10/2006 21:46

PND crack bit below the belt I must agree.

Heres hoping you don't get it yourself Rust one day eh?

foxinbubblesletsmaketrouble · 17/10/2006 21:46

Rust, - I read your post, and the articles and all the posts from everyone else.

I think the parents come across as cynical spongers! They've played the press to compaign for Charlotte (understandable at the time to save her life) and the mother at least seems to have lost all interest in her now. Perhaps when out of the limelight, she lost her appeal.

I am compassionate but not sentimental and I have a SN sibling and grew up surrounded by SN children. Its not a question of "unconditional right to life" but "what's best for that child". Is being used then abandoned by her own Mum what's best for Charlotte?

Charlotte's parents IMHO have acted selfishly throughout this whole sorry episode and the people who have suffered have been their unfortunate children.

I work and pay taxes - we would love to keep reproducing but we cannot afford it - no I don't resent my taxes paying for Charlotte's care but do resent my taxes being spent on people who can't work/won't work and by all accounts are completely anti-social as well

ducks and runs very very fast

No, someone who has views that differ to the masses here does not in anyway make them a trouble maker. Good God, now taking THAT view point has led to some very dodgy dictatorships.
It is possible you know for people to really, really get your goat without being a trouble maker.

Fox, don't duck, never duck.

GreenSepticStumps · 17/10/2006 21:49

Yes, kittywits, lots of people get my goat without being troublemakers. But someone who posts "your only upset because you have pnd get over it" is a lowlife.
