My thoughts are with the victims of the latest barbaric act by Islamic extremists.

The world needs to wake up and defend itself.

RIP those who died and prayers for those critically injured.

dp has just gone to make a cup of tea but stated as he left the room, his boots will be on foreign soil by the end of the year probably Sad.

Attacks like this set off a domino effect, now there will be consequenses globally, culturally. These events change our world.

WetAugust · 09/01/2015 16:38

Brilliant work by the French Police. Virtually simultaneous hostage rescues with successful outcomes. 3 gunmen dead. news reporting that they jammed mobile signals so the two groups were not in contact.

WetAugust · 09/01/2015 16:40

They will get so much more information from these attacks as they take apart their living accommodation and start investigating their support networks. that alone will help to prevent future attacks.

DoraGora · 09/01/2015 16:42

Right, but it's all eyes forward from now on. I'm guessing they've done Paris. So, the DGSG will, presumably, start functioning properly from now on. So, next Al Qaeda will choose some other (unsuspecting) capital city.

msgrinch · 09/01/2015 16:43

Thank goodness the hostages are out and alive. What a terrifying day for those people.

Ginger Thanks for your dp.

JoanHickson · 09/01/2015 16:45

The lady in super market still at large not overy yet.

msgrinch · 09/01/2015 16:47

The picture of the young child being brought out has reduced me to tears. I hope he/she isn't to traumatised.

More popcorn, muppets?

JohnFarleysRuskin · 09/01/2015 16:58

Four hostages killed.

JohnFarleysRuskin · 09/01/2015 16:59

Still they were in a kosher supermarket so not 'randoms' but legitimate targets eh.

msgrinch · 09/01/2015 16:59

well you're a delight. I'm sure we are all perfectly capable of making an adult decision to watch or not watch.

You do your thing and I'll do mine.

GingerCuddleMonster · 09/01/2015 17:01

Words fail me about your attitude perma.

If we weren't watching it how would we discuss it, if it wasn't reported how would we know about it?

BackOnlyBriefly · 09/01/2015 17:05

permacult Not sure who you were yelling at talking to, but you sounded like you were saying WetAugust and/or me wanted repatriation and something about jokes?

Care to point to those if you can.

sebsmummy1 · 09/01/2015 17:10

permacult I have to agree with you, 'verbally crapping your every sentiment online' is a beautiful way of describing it.

permacult · 09/01/2015 17:17

Care to point to those if you can.
Umm, as if I believe you don't know. Question is: do I care to trawl through your orchestrated reponses to the lamestream media reportage? I'm afraid not.
Sebsmummy - thanks, I cannot believe this is the state of Mumsnet. It just makes me despair for this society that these types of people outnumber us.

To the Haters: Please address the point that the so-called terrorists were long term potheads with a string of petty criminal convictions and where it says in the Quran that such people count as exemplary Muslim? They sound like good candidates for brainwashed patsies... just like all the other so called Muslim terrorists

BackOnlyBriefly · 09/01/2015 17:24

Ah ok so you made it up permacult. How pathetic.

BackOnlyBriefly · 09/01/2015 17:25

btw "orchestrated" was interesting. I guess you're one of the conspiracy theory nuts then. How many people on here are agents of the secret world government and taking orders over special phones?

DoraGora · 09/01/2015 17:26

That does rather assume that these nobodies aren't capable of making the choice to die committing acts of terrorism or to continue living as nobodies. From what I gather, lots of young men (and a few girls) on their way to Syria, are making the same choice.

GingerCuddleMonster · 09/01/2015 17:27

"haters" are you 12? Grin

yes expressing sympathy, shock, horror, dismay on a internet forum whilst discussing an event is so 2014 and unreasonable Hmm.

DoraGora · 09/01/2015 17:29

Where are they getting their kalashnikovs from? Presumably you can't buy them in France.

DoraGora · 09/01/2015 17:33

Bosnia was once awash with weapons of that sort, and presumably, not much control over them. I wonder if anybody has been keeping tabs on who has what now.

msgrinch · 09/01/2015 17:33

Haters

Grin
JohnFarleysRuskin · 09/01/2015 17:34

Permaculture, you said 'boo hoo' about the terrorist attacks. You said they were provoked. You said the cartoons were a physical attack. You wondered why people were so upset about it.

You're the brain washed patsy.

permacult · 09/01/2015 17:35

No but I am talking to a majority audience who are denser than the average twelve year old. Good evasion of the fucking question to which you have NO good answer though!
