"Natasha Bolter: Oxford University deny sex scandal Ukip candidate ever attended"

www.telegraph.co.uk/news/politics/ukip/11285916/Natasha-Bolter-Oxford-University-deny-sex-scandal-Ukip-candidate-ever-attended.html

Roger Bird, who is a PPE, introduced Natasha Bolter as having defected from Labour and being a PPE too.

I saw her interviewed on BBC Newsnight last night, and I did begin to wonder about Oxford and PPEs. I'm not a big fan of PPEs at the best of times, but Gordon Bennett, I thought to myself.

What's going on?

"'So do all people who vote for UKIP not believe in man made climate change?'

Not all of them, but a huge number of them"

Given their proud anti intellectual stance, what do they base this opinion on?

claig · 17/12/2014 11:16

"The polar bears are going to be a bit pissed off too........."

They are not bovvered because they are booming in numbers, they know it's a scam like we all do.

"The poster boys of climate change thrive in the icy Arctic: Polar bears defy concerns about their extinction

Polar bear populations have stablised and may even be increasing
This is despite dire predictions of 70 per cent decline in numbers by 2050
One resident of Alaskan village says 'this has been a great year for bears'"

Doesn't matter what the population of bears is doing if there's nothing for them to stand on.............

claig · 17/12/2014 11:28

"And now it's global COOLING! Return of Arctic ice cap as it grows by 29% in a year

533,000 more square miles of ocean covered with ice than in 2012
BBC reported in 2007 global warming would leave Arctic ice-free in summer by 2013"

Have UKIP asked for the opinions of polar bears? Or don't they count because they are foreign?

claig · 17/12/2014 11:37

'Have UKIP asked for the opinions of polar bears?'

They have asked for the opinions of Tory MPs and grandees. Isn't that practically the same thing?

OP posts:
BoulevardOfBrokenSleep · 17/12/2014 11:41

Yes, the coverage of Arctic ice will vary from year to year.

Seeing more polar bears in your village isn't actually a good sign, as they ought to be staying away from humans.

The Mail can publish as many Aha! Scientists All Wrong! articles as it wants. It can't change the underlying facts.

And they're preaching to an audience with no understanding (or any wish to understand) of the underlying facts, who just want to be told the experts are all wrong and there's nothing for them to worry about. Win-win. Yay!

BoulevardOfBrokenSleep · 17/12/2014 11:44

I mean, claig, you're all about the conspiracy theories and that, I'm sure you take pride in seeing through media bullshit.

Does it not make you slightly suspicious that the Mail always tells you exactly what you want to hear?

claig · 17/12/2014 11:48

'Does it not make you slightly suspicious that the Mail always tells you exactly what you want to hear?'

No because Paul Dacre is in tune with the people. He is not politically correct. He is not keen on the Tory modernisers and all their spin either.

OP posts:
RedToothBrush · 17/12/2014 12:02

Does this mean that Paul Dacre should run for PM and put a couple of cuddly polar bears up for election too?

claig · 17/12/2014 12:05

Paul Dacre is busy producing a paper that tells the truth. A few polar bears in suits might make a change from all the donkeys in ties. Why ever not?

'The Daily Mail song'

What number did it reach in the charts? Was it rejected by the people because it told untruths?

OP posts:
Hakluyt · 17/12/2014 12:09

To see what would happen, I put Daily Mail lies into Google. Lots and lots of hits. This is interesting,

BoulevardOfBrokenSleep · 17/12/2014 12:44

You do realise the mail has been caught out time and again in blatant lies, even over the most trivial things?

This one even made it to snopes
They would've gotten away with it too, if it hadn't gone viral, and someone noticed there was no dentist by that name in that city. When the Mail was asked where the story had come from they basically shrugged their shoulders.

I'd like to point out the psycho in their fictional story is a) female and b) Polish. I think that is highly representative of the Mail's constant hate figures.
.
Not sure that's a good recipe for trusting it on the big things.

Hakluyt · 17/12/2014 12:55

This is a good one as well.

claig · 17/12/2014 12:59

That was a slip-up and the article has now been removed. I don't know how the Mail fell for that one. It's highly unusual for them to print nonsense.

"It's highly unusual for them to print nonsense."

What about all the things that cause cancer?

Hakluyt · 17/12/2014 13:09

This one has a picture of George Cloony, which is always nice.

Yeah, I know- but the DM is pretty famous for its cancer stories.

Interesting that claig is not leaping to the defence of the people's paper. Do you think she's waiting for instructions from OOKIP HQ?

Or is she deciding it's time to break her cover and admit she's an establishment mole- perhaps even a PPE- tasked with destroying the party from within? She's certainly already done a lot to damage what little credibility it has!

claig · 17/12/2014 13:47

The people's paper needs no defending and neither does the People's Army.
You can't damage the credibility of the People's Army. It is self-evidently more credible than the Establishment parties because it requires and tolerates no spin.

OP posts:
Hakluyt · 17/12/2014 13:49

And the ..... inaccuracies....in the Daily Mail? Are you going to address them?
