Panic in elite circles

I'm in Essex, former Tory heartland, but nor any more

OP posts:
Isitmebut · 27/10/2014 16:06

We'll see in May 2015, as Essex WILL understand by 2015 the only real choice will be a Labour (or socialist coalition) trying to tax all on their way to Ballsian 'growf' and prosperity as they did in the 1970's, or the Conservatives who had to hit the ground running in 2010, with a team so good - UKIP can only win MP seats having first poached some of those sitting Conservative MP's the voters trust.

If you''re gonna vote for Conservatives, vote for the real thing within the party delivering the solutions that Labour and UKIP in 2010, forgot to ask the questions - and not the Conservative defectives, ooops, I mean defectors.

claig · 27/10/2014 16:10

Not only have UKIP torn the Tory vote to shreds and torn chunks out of the Labour vote but now we hear that the Monster Raving Looney party are haemorraghing votes to UKIP. Can nothing stop Farage's rampage across the political landscape?

“We’re a longer-standing party than Ukip but they’re stealing our thunder,” says “Mad” Mike Young, a 63-year-old retired chemist acting as election agent in their latest contest, against Mark Reckless in Rochester and Strood. “They’re coming up with crazy things.”

He is particularly upset by the party’s yellow-and-purple logo. “They were our colours first. But we’ll still be here when they’ve given up. They won’t out-loony us.”

Claig ... "I'm in Essex", stated with such authority, together with an old claim of yours that you (a revolutionary) used to vote Conservative, what a cover - the old Soviets would have been sooo proud. lol

claig · 27/10/2014 16:13

"says “Mad” Mike Young, a 63-year-old retired chemist acting as election agent in their latest contest"

With a name like that I wouldn't be surprised if he was a former Tory bigwig.

OP posts:
claig · 27/10/2014 16:16

But the whole of Essex is now a revolutionary hotbed of UKIP insurgency. We all voted Thatcher but those days are long gone. Cameron is for the luvvies, not for us.

OP posts:
Isitmebut · 27/10/2014 16:18

Claig ... UKIP/Farage are chameleons, lying, stealing and dumping colours, soundbites, policies, child abuse victims, an EU Referendum - anything to get Westminster or other power, as you can't talk about domestic policies in any detail.

When you have to slap around the Loony's for their few votes, god help us all.

claig · 27/10/2014 16:19

“Mad” Mike Young of the Monster Raving Looney Party possibly defected from the Conservatives for a bit of sanity. It was "vote blue, go green" that probably done it for him.

"Ed Miliband knows David Cameron's a loser if UKIP wins in Rochester and Strood"

"One of Miliband’s closest advisers told me: “We detest both Cameron and Farage but it is Cameron we want out of Downing Street.

“The Conservative Party will go into total meltdown if Cameron loses again.

“We recognise the long-term threat of inflating Farage, of course we do.

“But if you ask me what result helps Labour in May it is, undoubtedly, a UKIP win.”

Dear me, quoting the Mirror; a by-election is a by-election whether you had to poach a sitting MP to win it or not.

Of course the Conservatives want to win it, but to suggest that all and sundry that has produced the strongest growth in the industrialised world, with the largest nominal annual budget deficit in Europe, will fall apart if they lose it. is frankly pathetic.

I know you can't compare records in power or current UKIP policies you don't have on the NHS, Education etc etc etc - but page after page of rumour, when in last three general elections your vote has plummeted to 2-3% from other elections at or around double digits each time, really is premature.

Sure UKIP have a power mad corporate owner/strategist, wanting to see a return on his £££££ and driving your every move this (2015) election, but its those 2015 results that matter, especially as you could lose the MP(s) you bought in 2014.

Isitmebut · 27/10/2014 16:59

Claig .... for revolutionary you, Miliband's newest Old Labour, the old Soviet Union, no EU REferendum in the UK and Mr Farage's 'my precious' seats in Westminster.

“Ed Miliband is trying to hitch a ride to Downing Street – from Nigel Farage”

“Labour is now praying that Ukip will save its political skin”

good lordShock

Is this all you 2 do all day long. Just firing diatribes at each other?

sto defining people by the colour of their skin Isitmebut. You do seem to have problems with race zinc identity. wtf does it matter what colour of skin a UKIP member has?

The bottom line is that the LibLabCon had it spelt out to them by the founder of the EU that it would result in total union and that it would be done by stealth, in incremental steps

And this has proven to be so

So don't come on here telling us that Dave will offer this that and his granny when the whole LibLabCon are Europhiles and treasonous lying traitors that disrespect their electorate yo the point of agreeing with the founder of the EU to hoodwink them

claig · 27/10/2014 17:53

'Just firing diatribes at each other?'

Isitmebut does the diatribes, I do the facts

sorry Claig

People just get turned off by mountains if info crammed into each post and liberally sprinkled with links.

that's why sound bites are so effective.

If you needs screens and screens full of info to make a point it is a very laboured point

Most of Isitmebuts posts are diatribes, jealous rants and history lessons.

claig · 27/10/2014 18:52

"Most of Isitmebuts posts are diatribes, jealous rants and history lessons."

I can find nothing to disagree with in that. Just that the "history" seems to be in the vein of "1066 and all that", it just doesn't stand up!

Isn't that all the Tories have left? Isn't Isitmebut just true to type?

"Britain’s rebate at risk if £1.7bn EU bill is not paid, warns Brussels"

He expressed bafflement at the PM’s complaint that he was taken by surprise when the demand became public at a summit last week and revealed that the Government was formally told about the demand 10 days ago.

“I was surprised by the reaction, because up to this moment there was no signal from the UK administration they had a problem with this figure,” he said at a briefing in Brussels.

He has to lie otherwise he would expose himself as not knowing what the hell was going on - not that he does know what the hell is going on anywayGrin

He's flunked it

He could have won the GE today by telling the DUbtonshove it. He bricked it.

Nigel would have told them where to shove it, how hard to shove it and would probably have assisted them if they couldn't shove it without helpGrin

Pathetic Tories. next time they star twittering about Thatcher or Churchill just remind them that Mrs T actually had a very good grip on her budget and Churchill never once overlooked the fact that he had a war on.

Leadership from Dave - my arse!

WetAugust · 27/10/2014 19:31

the only good news is that Itlay now has it's own emergents verisimilitude of UKIP. I suppose it would be called IIP?

Anyway, the Italian PM seems to be calling for an EU referendum

They - these bastards that rule us from Brussels - May delight in rubbing Dave's nose in this but one day we will get our revenge. If they keep sticking their oar into prodding Putin and he acts they had better not expect us to come and bail them out - yet again. he'll no!

"ComRes/Independent poll: Ukip at record high

Support for UKIP has risen to a record high following the surprise attempt by Brussels to levy a £1.7bn "surcharge" on Britain, according to a ComRes survey for The Independent tomorrow (Tues).

It puts UKIP on 19 per cent, a jump of four points on last month and one point above its previous record support in a ComRes telephone poll in June.
...
Today's ComRes poll underlines UKIP's growing appeal to voters turning their backs on both Tories and Labour. Almost one in five (19 per cent) of people who voted Conservative in 2010 now say they will vote UKIP, up from 14 per cent last month. Around one in ten (9 per cent) previous Labour voters also plan to back Nigel Farage's party.

Two-fifths of the public (39 per cent) said they are attracted to UKIP because the party says what they think, an increase of six points since April when ComRes asked the same question. But 54 per cent of people disagree, the same proportion as six months ago.

Half of Britons (47 per cent), including half of Conservative supporters (54 per cent) and one in three Labour supporters (34 per cent), think that UKIP are talking about the things they care about."

Everyday the news gets better and better. I'm running out of champagne. Stocking up to celebrate is costing an arm and a leg. They must be on bread and water at the Bullingdon Club. This is getting desperate.

Great isn't it

And the EU also rubbed Dave's nose in it today by saying that if he doesn't pay in full on the due day they will fine him.

Oh what wonderfully supportive people our EU chums are.

AND HE THINKS HE CAN NEGOTIATE WITH THEM - HA HA HA!

Pixel · 27/10/2014 23:40

So what happens if we don't pay the bill or the fine?

Will they kick us out? Grin

WetAugust · 28/10/2014 00:20

Nonsuch luck P Ireland. they'll make us stay in the club as punishment. After all this 1.7 is only a little bit extra on top of the 8 billion we hand over each year anyway.

It's easier to get your head around if you realise we currently lay 55 million a day but the increase means we will pay 66 million a day.

No club is worth being in if the cost is 66 million a day to prop up our unbecoming unreconstructed EU partners ( competitors actually)

I always said the EU was a form of communism. It is. the successful have to hand over their hard earned profits to the lazy unsuccessful and the C omission grows fat on the proceeds.

it makes me very angry indeed.

WetAugust · 28/10/2014 00:23

Sorry No idea how my ipad changed Pixel into P. Ireland. this ipad is starting to act like the Guardians type setters!

Anyway, if we don't pay they will bill us something like an extra 25 million a week until we cough up.

Nigel told them to shove it tonight when he was on The Agenda,

how can any Govt in its right mind contemplate handing it over when last week it was telling us the NHS was desperately in need if extra cash.

this whole thing stinks
