The flight mh17 from Amsterdam to kuala lumpor with 295 people on board, it was a boing 777.
It was shot down with a buk ground to air missile.
They say there are no survivors.

The report I read quoted someone as saying 'maybe the pilot decided to go that route anyway to save fuel' so definitely hinting at pilot irresponsibility in flying into prohibited space. If I were a pilot for Malaysia Airlines I'd be very worried about what I would be blamed for next.

They also experience an upsurge in calls whenever there is a disaster because it triggers memories. I remember her saying that they still get calls from people who lost loved ones as far back as the 1950s.

Israel and Gaza were supposedly discussing a ceasefire for tomorrow and then all of a sudden this happens and it's like Israel saw it as an opportunity to retaliate while the attention of the world was diverted.

From a political perspective no US citizens on board is a good thing, less likely to have Congress demanding retribution.

It was suggested earlier that the Russians said American citizens were aboard purely to try and encourage a reaction and involvement from them, and that is was unlikely to be true.

Israel has been preparing for a ground invasion for days and the conflict has stepped up dramatically this week. I wouldn't link the two without a very good source.

What possible good did the perpetrators think this could bring? Slaughtering 295 innocent people including 80 children. How does this help anyone's cause?
