I won't hold my breath waiting for apologies from all who called me names and attempted to humiliate me into submission!
YNK, I have no idea if you think I am among those who tried to humiliate you into submission, but if you do, then I apologise. I can assure you it was never my intention.
I also accepted that both sets of witnesses agreed that the shots came before the bat without having heard this first hand.
I'm also relying on SKY rather than court transcriptions, so there is room for error there.
I have tried to be as level and unbiased about this as possible. I'm on the fence as to what happened. There are some things I still hold true (he did not thoroughly check for Reeva, and that makes him culpable), but there are others where I'm uncertain (did he know it was Reeva when the first shot went off).
However, I am still not prepared to say with absolute certainty that the shots came after the bat. Particularly your assertion that he may have pulled/levered a panel out before shooting her. I think that that scenario raises a whole heap of new questions, such as 'if there was a panel free and he was intent on murder, why would he shoot her through the wood that was still there, and from a distance?' If that were the case, she would be able to see him too, and yet, despite having her phone, she didn't try to use it, nor did she move back from the door. I get that there was nowhere much to go, but she didn't back off at all.
I'm not trying to humiliate you into submission; I'm not even saying 'you're wrong'. I'm simply saying that this scenario raises more questions.
