Time for a new thread - Part 4 nearly full

OP posts:
YNK · 01/05/2014 00:38

Thanks too, hillwalker, I hope neither of you come under attack for giving me some reassurance. I am very grateful xx

YNK · 01/05/2014 00:58

Aww shit, I am so sorry for getting maudlin about my fate and my relationship with MN!

A beautiful and talented young woman has lost her life! Her family has suffered a devastating loss.

That is what is really important, not my self pity!

I can only apologiise and ask you to forgive my (insignificant) self indulgence

PD6966 · 01/05/2014 01:08

YNK I have been silently 'catching up' on the thread after returning from a brief absence. It's very clear that the person suggesting that "your posts smack of lurid speculation unhindered by facts" has completely disregarded the circumstantial evidence thus far and rounded on you for your apparent confidence and obvious frustration, when faced with these accusations.
Chin up, carry on and take nothing personally; the interweb is a funny old place filled with strange folk. Shock

PD6966 · 01/05/2014 01:10

Right now, let's get on with the case in hand...!

YNK · 01/05/2014 01:32

Sniff, Sorry for being such a sniveling PD! Right the, hanky's up my sleeve now! No need for that! Smile

How about we turn our attention to.....
The fans/bedroom scenario
The stomach contents
the motives for the arguments/ screaming from 1,58
the sunroof. restaurant offenses
The boating incident

And so much more that we should be considering

For the sake of a lovely young woman whose life has tragically been lost!

Let us please keep some focus here!

YNK · 01/05/2014 01:34

Sorry sniveling idiot, not sniveling PD. Oh dearie me!

YNK · 01/05/2014 01:44

Oh and lets not forget the amazing moving magazine rack!

Katz · 01/05/2014 07:47

To add to that list,
changing side of bed slept on
heading towards danger rather than bailing through a nearer door
Not waiting for a response from the person you knew was awake

Hillwalker · 01/05/2014 08:45

All the things listed are things OP has lied about.

Animation · 01/05/2014 08:48

YNK

What PD6966 says.

I like your perpective and confidence. Don't let anyone on here silence you, particularly the Voice lady. Wink

Hillwalker · 01/05/2014 09:05

There is an interesting article on phil51089.wordpress.com called interesting pistorius timeline as offered by donmack

Sorry I don't know how to do a direct link.

YNK · 01/05/2014 09:26

Ah She posts on DS, if it's the same person, let me have a look!
Hmm I cant find it, Sorry.
If you highlight the bar at the top and left click it opens a box where you can click copy. You then left click in the MN message box and the box opens again but this time click paste and bobs your uncle hillwalker,
Thanks for your support guys

I won't hold my breath waiting for apologies from all who called me names and attempted to humiliate me into submission!

YNK, I have no idea if you think I am among those who tried to humiliate you into submission, but if you do, then I apologise. I can assure you it was never my intention.

I also accepted that both sets of witnesses agreed that the shots came before the bat without having heard this first hand.

I'm also relying on SKY rather than court transcriptions, so there is room for error there.

I have tried to be as level and unbiased about this as possible. I'm on the fence as to what happened. There are some things I still hold true (he did not thoroughly check for Reeva, and that makes him culpable), but there are others where I'm uncertain (did he know it was Reeva when the first shot went off).

However, I am still not prepared to say with absolute certainty that the shots came after the bat. Particularly your assertion that he may have pulled/levered a panel out before shooting her. I think that that scenario raises a whole heap of new questions, such as 'if there was a panel free and he was intent on murder, why would he shoot her through the wood that was still there, and from a distance?' If that were the case, she would be able to see him too, and yet, despite having her phone, she didn't try to use it, nor did she move back from the door. I get that there was nowhere much to go, but she didn't back off at all.

I'm not trying to humiliate you into submission; I'm not even saying 'you're wrong'. I'm simply saying that this scenario raises more questions.

StackALee · 01/05/2014 10:18

YNK, you've definitely opened my eyes to some of the realities of the early evidence.

One small thing that annoys me though (And not just from you) is the references to RS being beautiful and young. It's not her beauty nor her youth that makes this tragic, just as OP losing both legs, having a shining career and commitment to charity should not effect the facts of the case.

There seems to be a lot of gushing over these two celebrities, certainly some people seem unable to let go of the OP they thought they knew through his celebrity and good looks. Sometimes some people sound like they are doing the same with RS.

YNK · 01/05/2014 10:24

Yay, hillwalker.....fantatic!

Yes that is the same donmack who posts on Digital Spy.
It's a great timeline, isn't it!

No worries Looking, I am trying to get past it now!
I don't think he pulled out the panel before he shot her, although I believe it was broken, having been struck during the first set of bangs at 3am.
As you know the bloodspatter expert has convinced me that the fatal shot struck her at 3.17

StackALee · 01/05/2014 10:24

Hillwalker - thanks for the link. All of it very interesting.

"Back in the bathroom, he puts down the gun and hits the door three times with enough ferocity that six people think they are gunshots. Four of those people had slept through the real gunshots 15 minutes earlier – seemingly not bothered by a sound 1000 times louder than the sound that they are hearing now"

this bit ^ is really interesting.

Hillwalker · 01/05/2014 10:26

I think RS being young does make this more tragic. The younger the murdered person, the more life and possibilities they have lost and the more time with them their loved ones have lost.

StackALee · 01/05/2014 10:44

YNK the link you posted goes to a youtube video of The Internationale?

YNK · 01/05/2014 10:46

Hahaha Stack, sorry about that, and Happy International Workers Day everyone.

I will try and find the other link now!

YNK · 01/05/2014 11:03

forums.digitalspy.co.uk/showthread.php?t=1956549&page=288

A link to the digital Spy forum. It was rubbished a few days ago by another poster, but I have found it very useful. Nearly all the links I have posted come from there

BookABooSue · 01/05/2014 11:03

YNK I'm sorry you've felt attacked on this thread. It's all been a little odd during the recess. There were disagreements and speculations on the other threads eg why was Reeva carrying her phone? What were they arguing about? There are some here convinced of OP's guilt and others of his innocence of knowing it was Reeva. Others swing from side to side.I'd like to think there was room for all of us and personally I haven't felt you've stifled the debate or the thread.

UnderthePalms · 01/05/2014 11:06

The Donmack Pistorius timeline was good, although the thing about him having his hands over his eyes was unnecessary as it was supposed to be pitch black.
