Psammead, what were the co-ordinates?

Jjuice just found that image...absolutely incredible. But is the plane just flying overhead (although it would be VERY low!)?. Actually, looking at it again, it looks as though the tail fin has become separated from the main body.

I can tell you how to get to it though.

There is 27 tags click on the 27 they split into 17 and 10 click on the 17

This then splits the map further there is a 2 just underneath and to the left of *Garacharma" both of these are the same tag one only has 10 agreed the other has 400 odd

but then-iirc, the copilot's family IS talking, a little. Also, a friend of the pilot has been talking, so its not like no one is talking about him.

My understanding is that both would be equally under suspicion etc.

I do understand that they just might not want to talk, and personally I hope its just that.

I also don't think that even if his wife had just left, that that provides much of anything to go on. I'd hate a situation where the pilot is blamed, because we don't know what else it could be and the poor guy had happened to have a godawful double whammy of a bad day.

I thought Deigo Garcia days ago if it was terrorism/hijack with or without the pilots help. Interesting that the Maldives were not asked for help. Am now wondering if the last satallite ping is made up bollocks on the part of the US, to throw off the search.
If the plane was heading in the direction of Deigo Garcia with no communications, I think it's possible that it would be shot out of the sky and the US would not admit to it as who would know.
Adjusting my tin foil hat, I also wonder, rather than targeting Deigo Garcia or a nuclear powered aircraft carrier in the Indian Ocean/Arabian Sea, if it was flown and ditched at the undisclosed spot where the US disposed of Osama Bin Laden's body.....no hijack demands, no made for TV event, but a rather covert, chilling message.

They didn't pass on data because "they weren't asked specifically for it".

Could that image just be another plane en route, presumable loads of planes fly over? There's clouds etc so def flying by the look of it.

Think it is this one that appears to be a plane in mid-flight.

Wouldn't there be more sign of damage to the jungle, knocked-down trees etc?
Obviously it is a plane but it looks to me like it's just one flying over.

that's the one Moose and monkey. thanks. i do think it is a flying plane. there is another one to the right of it when you zoom out a little that looks like a tin foil plane over the sea. obviously a flight path.

I follow Malaysian politics quite closely having links with the area and when this happened I bet my DP that the government would blame
(a) Anwar
(b) Jews.

It didn't take long for the first to happen and it's only a matter of time before the 'Zionist plot' allegations. Because that's what the Malaysian government do each time something goes wrong.

Anwar's been persecuted for years by the government and his current set-back the date before the disappearance is not the worst he's suffered, although it's bad.

Also the pilot is a Malay Muslim. By supporting the opposition he's supporting a group which is calling for equal treatment for the 45% of the population who are not Malay Muslim and the removal of special rights and privileges for people like him. Hardly the mark of a fanatic!

Red how much info do we think has been handed over if the thai's are only just giving radar info today.

Sounds like they've spent a few days checking it for anything incriminating.

I've not been clicking through or viewing videos of Malaysian press conferences on anything other than BBC, CNN and other reputable news sites, but I'm aware that lots of links are being posted on all sorts of different sites (even MN!) - and there are a couple of warnings out there about scams/viruses posing as broadcast videos, 'sensational footage', demonstrations etc which, when clicked, will allow cyber-attacks on your data.

I was just searching tomnod and saw a massive white shadow on the water, tagged it... Moved along and the beach was about two squares along! Bloody pooped myself, thought i had found something major!

Well I think I have solved it.

I just spotted a boomerang shaped wave, which then made me start to sing "my Boomerang won't come back". But I couldn't remember all the words so I googled them.
