Makes my blood run cold.

IamInvisible · 09/11/2013 21:03

Did you read that the soldier who killed his baby had been shot in the face 6 times and arms and legs, and in the same attack 5 of his comrades will killed? Do you not think he is probably mentally I'll now?

How many children have died at the hands of their parents, who haven't been in the Armed Forces?

My DH is representing this country abroard right now. He is not swanning around in a huge military vehicle and does not have a gun.

Geckos48 · 09/11/2013 21:03

You are just posting goady crap which I refuse to rise to. If you decide to get yourself a perspective or argument, do let me know.

a solider who beat his 7 week old daughter so badly that she died slowly over 12 months.

You sound obsessed with the actions of soldiers , on the field and off it.

You need to step back from this .

Geckos48 · 09/11/2013 21:04

Yes, the fact that he was a wounded soldier took up around three times the length of the article than the information about his poor child who knew nothing but pain.

Sickening display of 'hero' worship

I am obsessed with the safety of my own children and preoccupied with the safety of other children around the world who we are swiftly growing into terrorists.

So obsessed with the safety of her children Grin. Yeah right!

Keep that laptop in your hands geckos.

IamInvisible · 09/11/2013 21:11

So, let me get this straight, you think that because we have an Armed Forces the children of the world are not safe. Is that correct?

Geckos48 · 09/11/2013 21:12

No seriously you

The actions of our soldiers abroad directly impact on my safety.

They endanger me by creating friction with half the world.

I hate it.

OP posts:
Geckos48 · 09/11/2013 21:13

Absolutely, no child is safer because their village has been bombed, or another nutter has been armed up to the teeth so we can go and fight them.

My children aren't safer, far from it.

You want to have a look at some of the conditions afghan children are living in because of our 'war' and tell me they aren't going to grow up to hate us.

It's not 'our war'.

Do you think the children would be happier living in a country ruled by the Taliban where gilrs get shot in the head for wanting an education?

Geckos48 · 09/11/2013 21:19

We don't even count the dead civilians, let alone take care of them.

We don't offer medicine to the sick, to the injured killed by our bombs.

Under the Taliban people knew what was right and wrong, it was an oppressive nasty right and wrong but they knew what it was, under our rule they have lost homes, families, lives and they don't know what to do to stop the killing and maiming. They don't know who the next person to fear is going to be, coming out of the shadows with a gun.

We were arrogant enough to think that once again we could overthrow the rulers of a country without giving a seconds thought to what we left behind.

The Taliban are cunts and they will step back in when we leave. But we have made ourselves the cunts now, opened ourselves, our families and our country up for attack and judgment.

Why?

Geckos, we do offer medicine to the sick and injured Afghans. They get treated alongside our injured in the field hospitals.

I don't know what will happen Kim, but at this moment in time I am not convinced that we will withdraw when David Cameron says we will.

Geckos48 · 09/11/2013 21:28

You are telling me that when we bomb a town we go on in and supply ongoing medical support to civilians? That is bollocks.

Sounds like a fucking great place to live.

Killing up massively since the Taliban were in power.

I am not for one minute saying the Taliban were good, I am saying we have done no better and have only made things worse and we have to OWN that, because it's being done in our name.

Geckos48 · 09/11/2013 21:33

I constantly fear reprisals in the UK, what a shame. We are a diverse, secular country who welcome all religions and races, without our awful conduct abroad nobody would have any reason to hate us.
